Working on an alternate variant of the Almaz. This is OPS-4, an unflown variant of the almaz that has 2 docking ports. It was built and flight ready but the program was canceled before it was launched. This will be included in the next update. -

realism overhaul is only a set of configs, it doesn't include parts. You NEED the part mods if you want RO to work, so in short, yes you need this. -

You did include it, these people just aren't installing OSF. The mm config can't help if they don't have the actual mod installed. -

It's not an error it's a stupid change squad made to the new versions of ksp that creates metadata files for the craft files. Now instead of just working they record all part modules in the craft and make a useless warning if you are missing whatever mod made them(which almost never actually matters). It's not important, you can just load the craft and re-save it and it will get rid of that warning. -

the problem is sstu updates so often and always breaks the ro configs that the people who are doing them are getting burned out on it so updates are getting slower and slower. Eventually it may stop altogether unless someone else takes over it. My advice is use w/e version of sstu was released at the time of the RO release and don't update it. If you do update it, you won't get any help if things don't work.- 2,179 replies

That pr shows that the issue has already been fixed. Also, yes you did the right thing by posting it there, it is not the responsibility of the RO team to make RO compatible with standalone patches, they need to fix it on their end if it isn't working(which the author did do).- 2,179 replies

removing the configs won't remove the parts, you need to either delete all the parts from the squad folder or write a mm patch to !PART for every single stock part.- 2,179 replies

if you are using stock aero and not FAR you HAVE to be using old school fairings or it's not going to work properly. Stock doesn't understand the way these fairings work and thus won't shield the payload on it's own. There is nothing wrong with how they are configured otherwise. -

we left several stock parts unconfigured because most people don't use them when there are many many better mod alternatives. For instance, the stock tanks, nobody uses those when procedural tanks is a thing. Also, we probably just didn't feel like wasting time doing that part for one reason or another, as it would take time away from fixing a more important issue. I didn't think I would need to point this out but ROEngines is incompatible with any mod that it uses parts from. It disables the original parts using mm patches and creates the new ones with different names. This breaks any craft files or saves you have using the old parts and obviously the original parts won't show up if ROEngines is installed. You can't use both the original mod and ROEngines, pick one.- 2,179 replies

There is no such thing as an "RO FASA". Just because a mod is on the RO git repo doesn't automatically mean it's for RO only, there are several stock mods there. Also, if you had taken the chance to read you'd see the big bold letters that say FASA is for stock... Also the readme says it's stock compatible several times. Please read.- 2,179 replies

That choice should now be gone. You are the 7th person in 3 days to complain about that other kjr and it breaking something related to RO or some mod used by RO. I added it as a conflict to all RO related mods on ckan so it won't happen anymore. From now on anyone who goes out of their way to use it will receive no support from anyone on the RO staff, I'm going to have Theysen make note of this in the OP and I'll note it in the RO/RSS discord, irc and github.- 2,179 replies

it works in rss/ro, what's wrong with it in stock?

I noticed a whole bunch of issues with fasa in 1.6.1 and ro/Ross in general. This is almost always due to the rcs or thrust transform placements and scaling. Can you compile a list if all parts that are still broken in 1.6.1 or 1.7. I am fairly sure I fixed the rcs issues in the latest ro release.

Why do people blame RO for these things? RO is just configs that change some part values and by itself can't break something like this. This issue is almost 100% fore sure caused by a change real fuels and NOT RO. The most likely case however is that you have done something wrong in the install though. I would like to make a side note that this version of RO we just released is almost identical to the previous 1.3.1 install except for the addition of configs for the new parts. If it worked in 1.3.1 and not 1.6.1 then there was either a change in 1.6.1 itself that broke it or a change in some other plugin based mod you are using.- 2,179 replies

For anyone wondering there is currently an issue with RO in ckan. It's not currently showing up as compatible with 1.6.1 because of an issue with real heat and kjr. The netkan files for these have an error. I am aware of this and will fix it as soon as I get to my computer. There is no need to report on it.
