  1. Thanks. In the end I just strapped some cones to the flat surfaces, and launched it like that. It seems that the drills are what causes it to fail, It explodes both with the big and the small ones, but just jumps a bit without them.
  2. Hi, I have a craft that i enclosed into the biggest 3.75 m fairing, that explodes on launchpad with the log saying that a bunch of parts collided into the fairing. I made sure to build a very big fairing, staying way clear of the visible parts, and removed all my mods, but it is still happening. Is it a bug or I'm doing something wrong? I have attached my craft file here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7z3lu1zvb6zswc0/Miner II.craft?dl=0 Thanks.
  3. Thank you all for your answers. They were very useful.
  4. Hi, Can you point me to a good SSTO/Space plane video tutorial? Thanks.
  5. Hi, Your explanations answered me too, thank you , I managed to plan a flyby mission, even though I might lack the piloting and engineering skills to execute it. Small nitpick: When the multi-flyby sequencer calculation is running, there seems to be no way to stop it: The "Stop" button does nothing, and when closing the window with the X in the upper right the confirmation appears, but if I click "Yes", the calculation is just restarted. Thank you again for your work!
  6. Hi, I've been playing with this tool, I like it a lot I tried to use the multi-flyby maneuver sequencer to plan a mission but there doesn't seem to be a way to time the maneuver to leave Kerbin (origin planet). There is the burn true anomaly, but with the calculation giving the maneuvers years ahead, this isn't enough. Say I want to plan a maneuver in the mission planner, the first event should be "Coast to UT" to some time before the maneuver, than an optimizable "Coast to true anomaly", etc. I can't find the value I put in the "Coast to UT" event, the only time given is "Kerbin Departure Date" which is, to my understanding, the time of SOI change. What am I missing?
  7. Hi, Thanks for this plugin, it is very useful. However, after some attempts, a specific type of intakes becomes permanently colored, until game restart. Once it was shock cone intakes, and the other time the radial ones.
  8. Hi, I've been playing KSP a while ago, and it worked fine. Today I decided to return to it, but as soon as I launch ksp (I tried 32 bit), my display starts flickering and picture tearing, until I restart my PC. I tried re-installing KSP from steam, didn't help. My Graphic card is AMD R9 280x, with the latest driver. Link to my dxdiag log.
  9. You can move engines between stages by clicking on them and the dragging them to the stage you want. You can also create new stages with the little "+" button between the stage boxes, and delete empty stages with the "-" button, and rearrange existing stages. For the second question, you can cycle close vessels with the "[" and "]" keys.
  10. How do I calculate engine burn time from the ship's twr (for given d/v value)?
