Realchute parachutes automatically cut if I'm going a couple of hundred metres per second in the atmosphere. The log reads that they burnt up despite the temperature never going over about 20 degrees. What's going on?

During my first full on interplanetary Duna mission (duna landing, ike landing, 9 month space station etc) I encountered a mod fueled bug which turned my spacecraft from this: to this:

Thinking it over it does make more sense that they'd launch the update on the launch anniversary not the landing anniversary.

I wasn't aware that Rowsdower said that. Lets take an average and say it will be out Wednesday. Then it gives them a chance to do another Devnotes or a Q&A session or something.

Maxmaps said 4 or 5 days and the videos came out yesterday, so hopefully tomorrow but probably more like Friday or something

For those asking when it will be released, 20th July seems very likely. Maxmaps said on stream that the update would be out a few days after the media group shows it off and the 0.24 videos were released yesterday. Also, 20th July is the Apollo 11 landing anniversary. The only information they've officially given us is "soon" so don't take what I'm saying as fact, but it really looks like 20th July to me.

just press alt+n while focused on kerbin and it will show you the atmospheric layers, the one using the texture "glow.png" will need changing, just move the opacity slider (marked A below RGB)

As much as I adore Astronomer's pack, I wasn't quite happy with some things, such as the auroras, the mun's glow, the colour of duna's atmosphere and the entirety of Jool. I was thinking it would be pretty cool if Kerbal Space Program had planetshine and you seemed like the guy to go to for that. Just a suggestion I understand it would be tough.
