  1. UMMMMMM..... Both the retarded fall and cluster bombs are already included and have been for a few patches of the mod . ricochets would be cool though.
  2. Awwwww man! No BD amoury support! That may be why it didnt work when i tried the first time . Is there anyhing you can do to fix it? Would it be you or BD amourys creator that would have to make a fix? Its a pitty, these mods would work sooo well together.
  3. Ummm...... flares? They are in the latest version right, yep. Can someone explain how they work? I have not installed ksp pn my new pc yet, so i cant install the mod for now. Anyway, do they have a 100% chance of breaking missile lock? If not what is it? Will it work on lazers? Lazer guided weapons? How many in a container? How do i activate them? Ground vehicles? In space? Ill instal soon as i can to test these, mod looks awesome btw.
  4. Ohhhhh, i like the look of this. Ill give it a go. Now, which of my 300+ twr missile designs to try? Mwaahahahahahaha
  5. What about cruise missiles? I built one and a launcher a few days ago, and they work quite well. Rules something like: no flying above 1km, so not to get detected by enamy radar, missiles marked for range, accuracey and the destructive capabilities of the weapon system. Launch vehicle must be manned, comand pods only, as it could be a long mission, and be capable of staying on station (staying all systems go) for long periods of time, to be a deterant for other nations of kerbin to attack. Any thoughts? Could this be included in the chalenge?
  6. Uuuuuhh, noob question. How do i install this? And also, does this come with default planet factroy included, and i only have 3.5gb of ram (running a 32bit os, win xp) so i probabley wont have enouh ram will i?
  7. I just wish Macey would say something somewhere on the internet. He has done nothing on the internet (that i can find) for over 6 months, and it would just be soo reasuring to know he is still making content for youtube and we can expect something eventually. How much effort is needed to make a short post on the forums? Not much. Please Macey, dont keep us in limbo and longer.
  8. Okay ive figured it out! Ill fix it now.
  9. Aaarrghhh, i have no idea why the pictures are not working. I followed the instructions, but nothing is anyone elce outhere using flickr to host there images? Thats the only problem i can think of.
  10. Hey Guys This is my first craft Ive posted in the forums, so I hope you like it. I was playing around trying to build a Ion Glider, it needs sepertrons just to give it kick so you can get some altitude, but then it glides like a dream. When I also found myself doing 70ish degree pylon turns and 45 degree zoom climbs, I decided to post it on the forums. These screenshots are from two different flights, because I had none from my first flight because i had no idea it was going to be such a success. Thanks for veiwing
  11. Cool, that was just the kind of advice i needed! Thanks for your help.
  12. I think you only get the persentage of the 500 that the experiment has. So if 100 of the 500 comes from the meterials bay, then you would only get its transmition persentage of that 100. And also you cant get that 500 in one mission, you can only get 40% of if it. I think thats how it works anyway.
  13. Hey guys Ive been pondering what to do with my Eve and Duna probes. Im new at this so I only got Encounters right at the edge of the SOI's of the planets, and im still fairly low in the tech tree (teir 5ish), so all i had was a meterials bay, 2 goo canisters and a theromomiter. So after i got the high over Eve/Duna science and saw how much science i would loose i just couldent bring myself to transmit it. All my probes have parachutes so i decided to try and return them, I didint have enouth fuel to try and get encounters so i just put them in orbits that were as close to kerbins as possible for as long as possible (they all cross kerbins orbit at one point). My problem with transmiting the science is that if i returned the probes id get over 100 science, but by transmiting that number goes down to about 30, and i just couldent bring myself to do that. I still have a good amount of rcs left on my probes to get an aerocapture (I hope so at least) so its just a matter of time. But what do you guys think? Would you transmit the science? Its still possible for me to do so if i wish, but these probes were origonally made to go to mum/minmus and return, so thats why they have parachutes and it just hurts to look at all that wasted science Thanks for reading
  14. Wow thats cool! It looks mean at night, espacially with the shock heating. TFS
  15. Cool aircraft! Really good job on the detail you put in it. Is it stable? Dousnt look like it shoud be with that avionics pod. Althouth from the video it looked like you wernt fighting it at all. Pitty its an australian aircraft though
  16. I dont mind a long read, and good ideas make it worth it. Id love to see some of these implimented, if i knew more about code id do it myself!
  17. Yes these are all good idears! Id like to see some implemented. Also mabey the goo canister and meterials bay could be refillable, where once you have used it, and the goo has floated off into space, you can refill it with more goo from a storage canister. So it would be reusable, but still finite. And for the metirials bay the same as the goo and you can also carry more than one type of sample, which give different reasults, but you have to carry the extra samples. Also MOAR INSTREMENTS! The more the better! I want soo many i cant fit them all in one space craft! And they would also fit into groups, ground, atmosphere, space, maby more, so that you need to send a mutittude of craft to truely get all the possible science. Point data should also varry inside the same biome, like if your near a rock, or at the top of a hill e.c.t. I also would like a science analasis computer, where you run say 3 experiments, and then imput them into a computer that then gives you more science based on a various conditions. It would work on the basis of comparing more than one peice of info gives you a better understanding than just the origonal peices sepratly. But if you use the same experiment more than once it wouldent give you more than a tiny bonus. And a system that can imporve the transmition quality, like an interfearence detector or a antenna power booster, and a camera that sends the kerbals at the RnD a some vedio footage rarther than just some report data, and returning kerbals back to kerbin allows them explane how something happened rarther than just the transmited report. Phew thats quite a wall of text.
  18. I came from flight sims too! And ive found that im making vtol jets, but i struggle to even land on the moon im yet to download any mods but i probally will soon. Its sooooooo much easyer with a joystick isnt it nice spaceplane too, its alot like my first effort, although i used a differnt assent profile. I felt lile using the rapier was taking the easy route so i gave myself a challenge. Im going to try some of the things people have said in this thread on my second spaceplane. Thanks for all the tips guys.
  19. Okay, well ive got 2 control surfaces on at the moment, but there at a flat angle. Ill try angleing them dowm soon. As for lightness Im running at 1.9t which i didnt think was too much. I tryed to build a car with the minimum amount of parts to keep the weight/drag down. The hardest part is having to break for some of the corners, as i cant go throuht the at full tilt without running wide. Theres only 2 that i need to break for though.
  20. OH MY EELOO MULTIPLAYER IS COMING!!!!!!! I know its far away but I am verry ecited! Cant wait for proper naval combat!
  21. How are you guys getting 26m/s top speeds? I get 22.7m/s max even after driving full tilt for the entire runway! And i havent been able to run 10 laps without rolling my car. I could of carried on but i would of lost too much time without the downforce from the control surfaces. Also may I suggest a night time race leaderboard, you would have to drive compleatly at night, more than 2 hours after sunset/ before sunrise, and also have to have lights on your car that running constantly. And of course you would also need a power suply that will work at night. Ive tried it and it makes things a bit more interesting
  22. Can i still enter? I will have to build and test a car first, but just making sure its still open for entery.
  23. What i try to do is come in at a shallow dive, on about 30% throttle, when i get to about 200m up i cut the engine and pull the nose up to about 2 degrees so i start loosing speed, i try to land at less than 100m/s, the slower the better. When im at about 100m i pull the nose up more to about 5 degrees to kill the last of my speed and then level out at the last second and try to tuch down as gentely as i can. This works for me and its quite similar to the kind of approach parth that real aircraft take. Are you useing a joystick? It makes thing soooo much easyer, ive even recovered from flat spins that have been at less then 150m above the ground when they started so id recomend then to anyone with serious aircraft intentions. And what do you mean by big aircraft, how many tonnes?
  24. But why does the other solar system have to be 3-4 light years away? Thats how it is for us on earth, but the kerbol system isnt a replica of our own solar system, so why cant we have another solar system about say 0.5 light years away, and also add a faster time warp speed, mabey x100 000 000? That way it wouldent take toooo long to to travel to the other system. And why cant the kerbol system be part of a small star cluster? Then you could have about 5-8 systems less than 10 light years away, then you will never run out of places to send rockets to
