  2. Hello. Bluntly put: I don't know how to do this modding thing for KSP. I might not be the only one, and because I didn't see a topic already made for this sort of thing, this is open to anyone. I'll start it off I got three mods. I was an idiot and didn't write down the names although I could look it up in my history if that is needed.   8. I have always wanted to make a carrier, can someone make a mod with a catapult, naval docking ports, a tailhook and arrestor wires that can be placed like space tape (struts)?? Or is there already a mod for that??? Help please
  9. Wasn't really sure if this should go into mods, suggestions, or question forums so I'm just going to throw it here for now. Is there a mod for fuel switching? I'm starting to design a new spaceplane that's going to be exclusively for space, and I want to make it ion-powered for a sort-of low-signature SR-71 meets EA-6B Prowler sort of plane. I'm still looking at exactly which plane parts I want to use, but with either mk1, or mk2 plane parts use either LF or LF+O, and even the smaller engine shells hold the same. So to make my plane exclusively ion, means I must use radially attached xenon tanks, and then figure out how to properly conceal them, without making it ungodly hard to refuel the spaceplane. On a side note, wasn't there a fuel mod that allowed you to set relative fuel priorities? Something about fuel automatically 'flowing downhill', so you'd set fuel tankers relatively high, stations somewhere in the middle, and everything else low, so upon docking to a station you auto-refuelled? I can't remember the name for that, but it should help me with refuelling hidden xenon tanks.
  10. I just installed Mechjeb2, and I am running into a really annoying problem. Every time I launch a mission with Mechjeb and go back into the VAB via revert or through the space center, the screen turns a light shade of blue. All of the UIs are still functional, and I can even click on parts (even though I can't see them.) Mechjeb2 is the only mod I have installed. Does anyone know how to fix this? My current method is to go into a different building and back, but this takes time.
  11. Does anyone have problem while running FireSpitter in the 1.0.5 version of KSP ? Even after downloading the latest version of it ( the version for the 1.0.5) I still can't manage to see rotor rotate, and a LOT of mods who use FireSpitter Addon (B9 Aerospace, ...) have a lot of part unusable because they have some features than don't work. ( AMD CPU (6350), 8GO RAM)
  12. Hi, today @katateochi the owner of KerbalX and me had a talk about his plan to include vessel statistics into his vessel hosting site. I told him that i wanted to do a similar thing for DMP a while back and would love to have a "wich mod lincludes part x" search on SpaceDock. I suggested to include CKAN into this, since they distribute metadata. In addation tot he parts stats it would be great to have an image of that part so my idea is to ther have some sort of headless render setup or/and some sort of mod that generates them on players ksp games (as crowdsource campain). EIther way non of us has the time to implement those things but i would be willing to contribute the needed Server resources to make it happen. The reason for posting it here is to ask for opinions, ideas how to implement it and folks who are willing to build such a setup (given that CKAN and the rest involved are ok with it)
  13. I'm testing my buoyancy set up. I heard other mods have had issues with parts flying up into the air after craft unpack. I tested my part and sure enough the part goes flying up into the air as my plane gets close enough for the part to unpack. Hilariously my hull part comes crashing down on top of my plane. Does anyone know why this happens?

  15. Hi there! Have you heard about that the kerbalstuff closed? That is the reason why I`m started creating this new site: the "Beyond Kerbin" This will be an mod hosting site just like Kerbalstuff. I know the CKAN team is working on their own site, but I had some ideas so I decided to try making my own site. So the main idea is that you can install mods directly from the site (with a browser plugin). You just hit the install button and, POOF the mod immediately installs. Currently work in progress, but I think it will be set up in a week or two, it depends on how much free time I get. I will post updates here, stay tuned! Update: Because nobody shows any interest for the site I won't make it.
  16. Since Lilo just detected gravity waves there should be a celebratory mod to build one of the proposed gravity wave observatories, most proposals are just 3 satellites in a very similar orbit... Something like LISA, it seems like a simple enough mod mostly just adding a mission for it and maybe some parts.
  17. are there any mods that automate the release of asparigus staging, it seems pretty easy. Honnestly there are a lot of problems here, is asparagus realistic (maybe not but also if all variables are precalculated in a way it could be possible but dissipating gravity factors in)which it really isn't and is this cheater mod. Look I have a lot of time I spend watching my nav ball for corrections and where I can't check the fuel levels of my staging, I feel like a mod to automate this would help.

  19. When installing an addon for the BD armory mod, do you put the addon inside of the BD armory folder or the game data folder?

  22. Will the stock KSP version of Kerbal EDU will be updated automatically add in regular ksp? I am not able to make sure whether to buy KSP or KerbalEDU.
  23. Like many people, my KSP gameplay is plagued with stutter, and lately it has gotten so bad to the point of about one second freeze every a couple second or so. I guessed this might be caused by mods, so I played on an unmodded install and lo and behold, barely any stutter whatsoever. So I began to reinstall my mods one by one, trying to find if it was some specific mod that's causing the stutter, and so far I found that it was the contract packs that caused the stutters (I mentioned so far because I've installed like, a hundred mods, and haven't gotten to test them all). While waiting for me to find if there's another mod that cause the stutters, maybe someone could share some light as to why contract packs would cause stutters? And maybe other mods that cause stutters as well?
  24. I got the enterprise mod pack, and exactly how, and which boxes am I supposed to drag? The flying saucer, and Borg work and Ther's some parts. I'm still getting an error, exactly how may I install a mod? I'm not running Steam. I'm running the program that I purchased from the website and it's the one with a startup program. System is 64 bit computer, running Windows 10. I also tinkered with the program before and had previously failed with the same mod. I'm needing to delete the game save the save files and reinstall now since I don't know the correct drag and drop procedure.
