  1. I am experiencing poor fps, around 20, when entering the game. Sometimes, the game starts with 60 fps, but upon entering the VAB, framerate drops. It continues when launching. I have noticed that if I CTRL+ALT+DELETE while the game runs or is paused, the log file shows that the graphics device is lost, and reset. When entering the game again, the framerate is normal, at 60+. This happends both in the VAB and after launching. I also see that there is some shader problems in the start og the log file. Any suggestiongs? Has this been solved already? https://www.dropbox.com/s/6b2krxps40jerxc/output_log.txt?dl=0
  2. Hi all , first post so sorry if i do something wrong . I am using the new prerelease 1.1 and for some reason my amd fx 8350 (4.0 ghz) goes to 100% when i play . But it only happens when i enter a building. My cpu gradually goes up while in the VAB (for example) which makes the game super laggy and renders me unable to build . if i launch that vessel it remains super laggy and I have to restart in order to stop the choppyness . This does not happen in the main menu or ksc screen , i havent been able to test in flight because i cannot go into the VAB/SPH . I submitted a bug report but was ignored. My specs: CPU: amd fx 8350 GPU: AMD hd 7770 RAM: 12gb (1x8 + 1x4) DISK: samsung 120gb SSD I used to play 1.0.5 with a ton of mods and had no issues Can someone please help me
  3. My configuration is: Desktop computer: Intel Core i5 3.2 GHz, 8 GB RAM, no discrete graphics card OS: Windows 7 x64 KSP: 1.1.2 build 1260 x64 DirectX (the game crashes with OpenGL key) The problem is when I set the Render quality parameter to at least Simple (even when all the other graphics parameters are minimal), the performance drops significantly (down to 4 fps). This happens only if there is some terrain in the frame. When it’s the vessel and the sky only, the performance is OK. I’ve experienced nothing similar in 1.0.5. When I set Render quality to Fast, everything performs normally. But I need at least Good to see cast shadows. Is there a solution?
  4. Hello, I am using Ubuntu 14.04, with an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 (2.4 GHz x4), with 8Gb of RAM, and a GeForce 720 card. With a fairly heavily modded game in 1.0.5, I was able to get a steady framerate of about 30fps (on highest settings). Now with a stock game in 1.1, I am struggling to get above 20 with lowest settings, and it fluctuates wildly. Even the loading screen is choppy. Also, even on 64bit, the game is refusing to use any more than 4Gb of RAM. I thought that this upgrade to Unity 5 was supposed to increase the performance. Any help?
  5. hello,a couple day ago i got ksp,and i started plaing it but today when i tried to play it again it would only run at like 2 fps, before it was running at about 20 fps.I didnt update it,reinstall or install any mods at all so it cant be that....pls help
  6. Hi! With the pre-release on the horizon, one of the things I am looking forward to the most is that we can finally stop crystal-ball-gazing about the performance and get cold, hard numbers. I'm really looking forward to comparing it myself, but to do so, I need "representative" crafts. My question is, can someone share some crafts that I can use for benchmarking? Requirements: - Completely stock - 2 crafts with 300 parts, 1 craft with 600 parts - Should not break apart on physics loading - Do not have to actually go to space, I will use hyperedit. - One of the 300 parts crafts should have a lot of solar panels and fuel cells That's about it. Does anyone have something similar floating around in their hangars? Or feel motivated to make that?
  7. KSP ver. 1.0.5.1028 32-bit Windows 10 64-bit Issue: Up until a few days ago, KSP seemed to be running fine on my laptop. Now when I access my flights in my career save, my framerate slows down into 10 fps territory, even on the map screen. I tried doing a clean install, but it didn't help at all. Mods I've installed are: Kerbal Engineer Chatterer Precise node Waypoint Manager Any ideas? It's in no way a high performance pc, but did run the game ok until the last few days. I have a gaming pc on which the game runs great, but I like playing the game on the laptop. :/ Can the amount of ongoing flights result in these kinds of problems? I have a few empty crafts orbiting Kerbin and its moons that I could bring down, but haven't yet got to them.
  8. Hey all! I´m sure there is one or more threads to this but I didnt find that questions yet. So sorry for eventual double posting... Computer: AMD A10@4x1,9Ghz, 8GB Ram, AMD Radeon R7, No SSD Mods: Kerbal Engineer, Kerbal Alarm Clock, Dynamic Texture Loader, Plantery bases, Habitatpack,Tweakable everything, docking cam, Gravity turn, KIS/KAS I get fps drops quite fast. So usually from 100 parts on it becomes really laggy. Its still playable but kind of annoying. As I understood its because of the physics of parts that are just calculated on one core, even if you have multiple cores. The thing I dont understand is that sometimes its less laggy with, lets say, 96 parts than it is with a vessel of 60 parts. Both in LKO. Why is that? Is there anyway to improve the performance? Or will it be 1.1 to the rescue? As well, I get the impression, that when playing more than 1 hour or so, the performance is decreasing over time. I also found this: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/57269-performance-fix-ksp-tweak-guide/ Is that still up to date? Would be kamazing if you could help! David
