  9. Hey everybody! In the Science & Spaceflight subforum and over at NSF, I've been discussing a proposed reusable methalox upper stage for the Falcon family as a precursor to SpaceX's ITS programs. The Air Force has already given SpaceX funding to develop a methalox upper stage, so this is something that's quite probable. In the Ideas for a fully reusable launch vehicle thread, I outlined a 4-meter-wide biconic spacecraft with some pretty cool capabilities.   10. Okay, so maybe someone can help me out here. As you can see in this screenshot: http://imgur.com/a/1DNJ4 according to the stats I normally pull from KER, I should have an abundance of all the good things I need to get me into space (TWR, Thrust, DeltaV, etc.) But when I get to about 340m/s, everything just flatlines. I think drag may have something to do with it, but I don't remember how to pull up the drag overlay or calculate that...   11. Rush jobs are never good. Could do with a little polish - some dihedral, smaller ailerons, solar panels, and heck, maybe i should have remembered to give it a fuel tank. 2 Nukes a bit overkill on something this small, but how else do you mount with symmetry? Jeb is a brave Kerbal.
  12. Specifically I've updated from 1.1.3.1260 or so to 1.1.3.1289 and I'm curious about what differences there might be, but neither the wiki nor readme in the game directory covers these particulars.
  13. When I am using extraplanetary launchpads and I want to build. my build is stuck at 0%, I have all the materials I need, and I also have a construction workshop, filled with engineers. my productivity is also stuck at 0, I am using ksp 1.1.3 and it is a new ksp install without any mods.

I had this wierd idea while thinking about making a mod with a All-In-One science kit, with thermometers, barometers, accelerometers, negative gravioli detectors, anemometers, etc. But I figured that since I have access to those instruments in real life, couldn't I just build it in real life and 3D scan it? Given I don't own a 3D scanner, but I figured that some forum members might own one, or I could just pop down to my local public library and use the one there. Anyway, I just wanted to share an interesting idea I had.
  15. Hey guys, I have been designing a new planetary lander, that is capable of return, but I am stuck on a craft that can reach escape velocities... It needs to be a small craft, that preferably is single stage (but boosters are okay as long as they don't interfere with a ladder system), and can reach escape trajectories with fuel to spare for orbital maneuvers.. I have come close to such a craft, but I didn't have enough fuel by the tiniest margin.. One other thing, it needs to be small, so that once I add the entry stage, and initial Launch Vehicle, my computer can run it Cheers, Dom
