So having purchased the dlc after the latest console update, i can safely say the console version has seemingly got worse. Im on PS4, im consistantly get crashes on all modes be it career, sandbox or otherwise. By crashes i mean no matter what parts i use to build a plane i cant get off the end of the runway without to game crashing to ps4 home screen, this has been the case with 5 out of the 7 new saves i tried. The same thing happens with rockets only it seems to be limited to the parts that where edited in the update. Also whilst in the build menu the game will often not register the buttons i press and instead will switch itself between build menu and selecting crew members for rocket this is happening whilst in the place for building rockets. On the rare occassion i can get off the ground without having to restart the game and go into the map to begin orbits and such the game will often lock the button menu up so i can no longer do anything. In career for some reason, any science points earned from contracts and or science data collection is not given however funds and reputation are, once i recover a craft i will receive science points for doing that only. Crew members usually disappear after game crashes. No doubt theres more but these are the ones that are making my game unplayable and clearly of waste of money. So what exactly did they fix during the port rebuild? Or did they just fix bugs in the rebuilt code and leave the rest for next year? The whole gaming industry are turning into money grabbers!

Hi! I'm hoping someone can help as I'm not the best with computers but recently KSP crashed (for the first time) when I tried to recover a vehicle, I left it and when I tried to play the next day it got to the end of the bar of the loading screen and then froze. After it just being stuck on the load I got an error message saying that Windows had to perform a restart to fix the problem but it does this every time! The crash happened after I did a nvidia graphics optimisation but might be unrelated, also have uninstalled and reinstalled the game but still the same crash. Any help would be amazing! Thank you

My game is crashing during atmospheric reentry and also during ascension, both on Kerbin. This is a big letdown and is ruining any playability.. There are others who are having the same problems and I hope this to be solved as soon as possible. The blue screen error name is CE-34878-0. I'm playing on PS4 Pro; radial mode.

Hi, so Kerbal Space Program keeps crashing on my pc short after all assets have been loaded to the game. The bug keeps appearing after the 1.7 update. Before that, there was no such problem. I installed the kOS mod, but even before I installed it, the bug appeared several times. However, the bug doesn't appear on every game start. Hi guys, My game worked for a while after the new DLC was installed. Now KSP won't start in 64bit mode. I'm getting a black screen with a half filled loading bar without any text. I tried running in Admin mode, changed resolution, windowed mode, updated my drivers, changed other graphics settings without any change. The game launches properly in 32bit. But it also CTD when I load anything. Thanks in advance for the help..

so my game crashes (or freeze for a really looong time) when I'm changing my soi from Rhode to Lua (I'm playing on beyond kerbin) I have a lot of mods installed and the reason of the crash seems to be that, but I'm not sure. it might just be a good old out of memory error. in case of the last one how can I make my ksp use less memory logfile https://www.dropbox.com/s/ivr95f3cstfpnpi/KSP.log?dl=0 modlist https://imgur.com/a/zqMVNP5 Edit: confirmed it happens because out off memory error seems to be a memory leak no idea why it leaks tho also, it doesn't crash rather freezes for an infinite amount of time. memory gets stuck at 10.5 GB of ram for a long time then starts going down slowly if i left the game running for a long time it might un freeze

Hi all, hopefully someone can help me troubleshoot. I'm getting pretty frequent "crashes" where KSP will stop responding and then Windows tells me to Close or Wait for the Program. Over the past couple years of playing KSP, occasionally I'll get these, but now it seems a lot more frequently. I have a suspicion it's related to completing contracts in my Career Game, at least I'm getting semi-consistent crashes when I've completed my last 2-3 contracts. Of course, here's my latest log file: KSP 030719 Time 2159.log Here's my mod list (yes, there's a lot): I'll probably just end up going through the usual weeding through mods to get this more stable. But I'm hoping that someone can shed some light on what actually might be going on with my log and contributing to these crashes?

Hello guys, I have just switched my computer and as I was doing that I reinstalled the Steam app and then KSP on the new one. So i can play for a few min without it crashing but when i change locations (flight to command center or hanger to launchpad) after about 30 min it will crash. I have did a clean install with the latest steam edition. my drivers are good and Im running 64bit with 8 gigs of ram. Hey guys im new here and i dont know if im on the right thread but welp ok So basically my ksp keeps on crashing for no reason at anytime. No i dont have any mods, I have reinstalled it three times, booted my laptop. Checked task manager, no memory and heat problems. And no it didnt produce any crash report or log files. Please help, ive been playing this for more than 2 years and have alot of nice things in my world. It kinda liquides me off knowing i cant complete my goals in the game right now.

I've installed the game and the Making History expansion through Steam running on Ubuntu 18.04 (Bionic). With the expansion installed, the game no longer runs. Sometimes it crashes before it can load the main menu. Sometimes it crashes or freezes at the main menu. The farthest I've ever made it was to click through to the Making History select-a-mission screen, at which point the game froze. If I uninstall the expansion, the base game still works fine. Is anyone else seeing this behavior? Anyone come up with a workaround?

Can anyone help me diagnose what's going on with these crashes? (I don't really know how to read these logs) I'm playing on 1.4.3 since I haven't wanted to go through and update all my mods since 1.4.4 and now 1.4.5 have come out. But recently, I'm seeing a LOT more crashes to desktop. I have been installing mostly functionality-related mods, not really parts mods. NOTE: I know that a majority of the mods I have installed say their versions are between 1.4.3 and 1.4.99, but I went through and mostly downloaded/updated only mods to 1.4.3. Some even say they're not specific to any specific version and work on 1.4.x, etc. So hopefully responses I get aren't "Make sure your mods are updated" because there's only so much updating one can do here... Background: It's not any specific activity that I'm doing in-game that causes crashes. The game will run just fine for a while, then at random points during gameplay it will CTD. The most recent mod I installed was FMRS, but it was happening before I installed that. I thought it was Kopernicus a few days ago, so I made sure I'm running the 1.4.3 version (not the latest 1.4.5 version) of that mod. Other than that, I'm running mostly QOL mods and specific functionality for my Career game. Not really sure if this is even a mod conflict, or maybe I'm running out of RAM? (It says max usage 49% thought, so I don't know...) It happens whenever I switch spacecraft or go back to KSC. I only play with Kerbal Engineer and MechJeb. I have a crash log if that helps. Here's the error report (sorry if I'm not doing this right, I'm new here): [snip]

In the last 23 hours (where i played ksp ground 4 hours) KSP crashed 20+ times, without any pattern. It crashed when loading a savefile, starting a mission from Making History, launching a vehicle, opening kspedia, recovering a vehicle, adding a part in the editor, reloading assets from the debug console or even when making a screenshot for another bug report. The crash itself is weird. Most of the time i only get a sound from Windows and 'poof' the KSP window is gone. Only once appeared a window saying that KSP crashed. Does this only happen to me? I'm wondering, because i haven't seen anything about it here or in the bug tracker. The output.log created each crash just stopps as if nothing had happened without reporting an error. If this happens to others too, i will create a bug in the tracker with the crash reports.

System Specs: Ryzen 7 1700 Overclocked to 3.9GHz on a msi B350M Gaming Pro MoBo 16GB Patriot Viper Elite DDR4 @ 2133MHz GeForce GTX1060 6GB not overclocked EVGA 650GQ 650W PSU Boot Drive is 240GB San Disk SSD Plus Steam Library is on 256GB WD Black NVMe M.2 SSD So I am trying to play KSP and after first install it was working well enough didn't notice anything major but my FPS was kinda low. I read some forum posts and fiddled with the Nividia Control Panal settings followinf some suggestions. Afterward I noticed a slight increase in FPS but also getting instability. Stuff like game would freeze up and then come back to life randomly but would look all foggy out at launchpad, game would stutter randomly and I would get flashing and weird graphical glitches. Once or twice I got a crash to desktop. I reset everything back to default both on Nividia Control Panel and in KSP settings but problem persisted. Finally I uninstalled and the reinstalled the program. I thought everything was fixed. The game was playing fine for about 10-15 mins then out of nowhere system blue screened on me. After restart I ran stress tested my system with prime95 and no stability problems. I then ran CineBench and some GPU heavy Benchmarks (Unigine Superpostion 1080P High) just to make sure everything was running tip top. No issues system seems to be purring like a kitten. I have no mods installed. I am at a loss. I am running the x64 version. The only other thing I can think of is the new Nvidia Driver just installed today and I have had issues in past with other games after installing new GPU drivers. Weird. I really love this game and am bummed not being able to play. If anyone has any thoughts, ideas, or advice it would be much obliged. Thank you.

My game frequently crashes when launching craft, reverting to the VAB, or when trying to load a save. My PC is well above the required specs, and I have no mods installed. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Didn't have this problem during 1.3. I have the current version (1.4.1) and the Making History Expansion. Anyone else have this problem?

Hi all, just got my Asus GTX1080 and I was stoked to test out KSP with his new gear. Of course, I installed the latest drivers from Nvidia right away. But (sad trumpet). The game systematically crashes badly during load screen, about halfway through the progress bar. When I say "crashes badly", I mean it instantly cuts power to the motherboard and restarts after a few seconds. From the POST screen. Then I downloaded the latest game version from KSP's website (version ID in the launcher is 2152), and things remain the exact same. I changed the graphics settings to "Minimum", just to see if a rewrite of the config file would make things better, but it doesn't. Any idea what's going on? PS: I'm playing vanilla KSP. I do have Avast anti-virus on at all times, although in gaming "silent" mode.
