  1. This is a complete rebuild of the work done by StinkyAce and MajorTom. Resizing, adaption, creation of new parts and textures. There is part variation to give a large selection of mix and match craft. We go from a simple craft that is ready to fly with 3 parts to a frame set up to take hydraulic landing gear so that you can lower and raise the craft for pod docking etc. Then there is a fully modular Eagle based on the parts created by MajorTom. The Interceptor created by StinkyAce also comes in variation and can make use of the Eagle add ons. There is a new internal for the cockpits. The very versatile Buggy created by MajorTom has been upgraded with an impeller for pushing it over water, wheels resized and made compatible with 1.12.1 onwards and mounting nodes for micro hover jets to make it a hover buggy (without the wheels). It can also be used with the Kerbal's parachute to be a paraglider. The engine and RCS systems have been rebalanced but the magic generators have been left in, your choice whether to use them or not. There is a large docking port designed to click in to the Eagle frame, while another of them attaches to your choice of pod. On land most pods will jump up and connect once you line them up straight. The flat open cargo pod may require lowering the landing gear. The hydraulic landing gear versions require "Breaking Ground" to be installed. As these parts are much more powerful than average stock, they are mostly towards the end of the tech tree for career games. Pods wise, there is a passenger pod to carry 16, an advanced pod for science and more inventory slots, an ore refinery for conversion, an ore storage pod, a flat open cargo platform and an enclosed cargo pod with opening door and ramp that is good as a mobile garage for the buggy. It has been sized to make sure you can drive in. All cockpits can now be entered and exited from the sides and have grab handles. The StinkyAce cockpits now have spotlights. All the add ons have nodes, some are just a bit fiddly till you get used to them. Enjoy. 2. The F-15C Eagle was a development of the F-15A air superiority fighter which introduced a glass cockpit, modernized avionics and new weapon systems. It also extended the F-15s range which was sub-par in the first versions. The F-15 up to this day stands as a backbone of the USAF and is one of the most successful air superiority fighters to ever enter service. Built with the not a pound for air to ground doctrine in mind it combines superior aerodynamics with high wing area and lifting body design to acheive unsurpassed energy retention and maneuverability. AG1 controls the afterburners. CRAFT LINK: https://kerbalx.com/EvenFlow/F-15C-Eagle v1.0 - Initial release v1.1 - Wing strakes smoothed out v1.2 - Horizontal stabilizers control authority has been adjusted, maneuverability increased by a small margin. v1.3 - Engine position tweaked to be more realistic and seamless, dry thrust values adjusted to match the real Eagle’s top speed at sea level, subtle improvement of aerodynamics resulting in a 10m/s increase of top speed at sea level. v1.4 - Rigidity of the nose assembly improved. v1.5 - Strutting improved, some miniscule part displacement behavior after discarding fuel tanks has been fixed. v1.6 - Strutting further improved, part displacement when staging is now as far as I can see inexistent. Fuel flow order adjusted to maintain better maneuverability with lower fuel supply. v1.7 - Roll rate massively improved, horizontal control surfaces adjusted to better match the shape of the actual F-15. v2.0 - Complete rework of the airframe and the canopy.
  3. After getting the space 1999 eagle mod I found one called Eagle One and it came with a landing pad like on the show. My question is how to get that sucker up on the mun? It's way too heavy for any boosters or combo of boosters I have and it's all one peace. So far it's stuck on the ground. For that matter once we get to the mun, how are we going to land it?
  4. The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle A fighter jet for the history books The F-15 Eagle began as a design concept in the early 1960s for an extremely agile next-generation fighter. It would be extremely maneuverable, have advanced avionics, as well as a dangerous combination of range, speed, and weaponry. Export Models F-15s serve in the air forces of the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Japan, and now, Kerbin's. It features high-powered engines, avionics packages, range-extending drop tanks, and a suite of missiles. The common export variety features the same loadout as F-15 Eagles in Operation Desert Storm. It is packed with two drop tanks, six AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles and two AIM-7 Sparrow missiles, as well as two LANTIRN pods, one for navigation and one for targeting. 5. INTRODUCTION As a relaxing little break from creating propeller aircraft I've decided to recreate one of the most prominent 4.5th gen jet fighters of the modern era - the F-15C Eagle. Not a single Eagle has ever been lost to enemy fire and the airframe itself, although almost 40 years old by now is continiuously proving itself to be a formidable foe to every modern jet fighter. The F-15C is currently the definitive variant suited for air-to-air combat and maintaining air superiority. It is a heavy airframe weighing in at approximately 20 tons loaded, powered by Pratt and Whitney F100 low-bypass turbojet engines, each putting out approximately 100kN of thrust when running reheat. The plane is capable of reaching over Mach 2.5 at it's operational ceiling. The Eagle is extremely capable in terms of it's maximum loading and can achieve an operational range of over 5500km when used with it's conformal FASTPACK fuel tanks. This replica is an attempt at creating a detailed and correctly performing Eagle. The weight is about right, and the engines have been tuned to provide the exact same amounts of static thrust the real F100s would provide. I managed to get the values down to 0.1kN accuracy. The replica is fully stock. I hope you will enjoy flying it. FEATURES Here are some basic features included with the replica. 1. Correctly performing recreations of P&W F100 turbojets producing exactly 64.9kN of dry static thrust and 105.7kN of static thrust wet (toggle with AG 1). 2. Retractable flaps (Toggleable with AG 2) 3. Functional airbrake (Toggleable with AG 3) 4. Realistically modelled drop tanks, the centerline tank is exhausted first. HOW TO FLY The flight characteristics of the Eagle are rather standard. If you can fly any other jet in KSP, flying this one should also be relatively easy. Flaps and the airbrake can be used to slow the airframe down. The top speed at sea level with the drop tanks on sits at Mach 1 and gets better with altitude. Keep in mind that the drop tanks add considerable weight to the airframe and they should be ditched when entering combat. Take off at about 70m/s, land at approx 65m/s. Keep in mind that the airframe, although agile, is rather heavy and has plenty of intertia, especially when performing low-level maneuvering with drop tanks on. Have fun taking the Eagle to the skies and fly safe. Feel free to leave requests and suggestions down below so i can improve my replicas! DOWNLOAD LINK https://kerbalx.com/EvenFlow/F-15C Updated on 22-07-2017, V1.1 CHANGELOG 1.0 - initial release 1.1 - major structural tweaks done which make the craft more similar to the original in terms of proportions. before, the ratio of lenght to width of this replica sat at about 1.52:1 (14.2m x 9.3m) and the horizontal stabilizers were unproportionally big when compared to the main wing. now this issue is fixed and the replica has the exact same length-width ratio as the real plane (1.46:1 14.2m x 9.7m for the replica and 19m x 13m for the real Eagle). pictures were changed accordingly, but here is a gif to portray the changes I made better: (old one in the first frame, fades to the new one which is visibly wider and more proportional) (i think it just goes to show how bad my OCD is with those replicas. WELP, GOOD FOR Y'ALL I GUESS)
  6. Hi there This is a parts pack for Kerbal Space Program v1.2.2+, to recreate the glorious Eagle Transporter (N° 3) from the 70's series "Space: 1999".
