  1. I made some flags for KSP2, and I just thought I should share them. The image above shows all flags in full resolution, no compression, the same as they were when I drew them. You are free to use any of these flags for whatever you like. No credit needed, though it would be appreciated if applicable.
  2. As the title suggests this will be a hub for everyone to share there custom flags! So that we can all benefit from inspiration for our own custom flags ect ill get the ball rolling with my own custom flag here
  3. KSP: 0.1.1.0.21572 Windows 11 home (10.0.22000) i7 12700, Nvidia 3080 12GB (studi driver 528.24) No mods After landing at Duna I stepped out to EVA and planted a flag. When I returned to the vessel the UI that tells you to press F and B appeared but I couldn't grab the ladder or board, I took the second kerbal to EVA but didn't let go of the capsule ladder, but still couldn't board. Quickloading doesn't help. After restarting KSP 2 I can grab the ladder and board, that is until I plant the flag again and the problem returns. On the 3rd restart i can't recreate the problem.
  4. this bugrep is for [v0.1.1.0.21572] On EVA, we can all see Valentina holding her jetpack (MMU? or rather KMU - Kerbaled Maneuvering Unit would be a better name in Kerbal traditions) controls but the status in UI clearly says "jetpack off", the status changes upon any directional control and then UI works as supposed to... Oh yeah, and one can "plant flag" on spaceship surface - the animation of sticking a flag plays but flag is not there. This requires a distinction of surfaces - so that flags are not planted on Eve and Kerbin's oceans, spacecraft etc.
  5. In my latest video for the week 3 challenge, I suddenly had my WASD controls locked out and I couldn't move after planting a flag. This wasn't the first time this happened. As someone pointed out in the YouTube comments, I was in time warp but didn't realize it. Watching the video more closely (at 15:30) it appears as soon as I used a period in the text description, that key also triggered the time warp change. https://youtu.be/MF4UDDlaljg?t=930 Version: 0.1.0.0.20892 Date discovered: 3/12/2023 OS: Windows Input: Keyboard and Mouse Expected result: Text editing in flag descriptions and other similar UX/UI should not pass forward to game controls.

  12. I have recently got into creating flags for my KSP saves. I followed the tutorial and kept it to 256x160. I saw a post somewhere saying that you could increase the size to 512x320. I want to know how big can the flag size be. Just it just have to be the correct ratio?

  15. Lately i've been making mission patches for my KSP missions. I've been in love with the style of the ISS Expedition patches for a while, and i wanted to make the same for my kerbals. I then use them as mission flags in-game. I've already posted them to r/KerbalSpaceProgram and it got a warm welcome, Thought i'd share them here too as my first post here ! I also include a quick follow-up of the mission afterward, adding a little to the "DEEP LORE" of my campaign. Some of them include custom Final Frontier medals that i design and mod into my campaign. RE:KIEM : Reconnaissance Expedition : Kerbin Introductory Exploration Mission MuKnar II : Munar Knowledge Acquisition Research, Expedition II I'm currently working on the write-up for MuKnar III and designing the first Minmus landing mission's badge, RE:MEDY (name not definitive). I'll post them here soon.
  16. You know how people thought all those flags are now white and fragile to the point of crumpling on slightest touch? It came to me few hours ago that even though the colors had to be bleached rather fast, it probably didn't take a long time before they turned black. Why black? Because they were made out of nylon, a polyamide, which is an organic compound, most of which is carbon chains. And we know what happens to plastics under the conditions of high temperature and full ultraviolet spectrum - they outgass and then slowly turn to soot as the radicals are blasted away from the chains. Nylon is one of the weakest artificial polymers in this regard. And because of the increasing darkness of the flag, each lunar day would impart a higher temperature to the nylon, accelerating the total carbonization which is, overall, photochemical, not high temperature like dry distillation. Thoughts on this? What do you think was the timespan before they started looking black like charcoal?

  18. I made myself a little custom flag for a certain "phase" of my career. It's somewhat minimalistic and simple, but I like it nonetheless.

  21. Thought I'd ask the pros here on how to place different flags within the same game save file? A few YouTube videos show multiple flag designs in one game. What must I do to copy this beautiful feature? I know you pick a flag design in the beginning of a game save, but is it possible to change that design during the game? If so, does that also change the design of flags already planted? Thanks in advance!

  23. For some reason, in the VAB (or SPH), some of the part thumbnails show a white quad in the location of where the flag decal would normally be placed. This isn't happening for all parts (most of them don't show the flag in the preview thumbnail, as expected). This is happening in a fresh, un-modded install. What's causing this? Here's a screenshot exhibiting the behavior:
