  1. The year is 9302. The Mun has been impacted by a huge asteroid and Kerbin is flooded. Begin on an evolved Kerbin. Its continents have moved, its mountains and topography vary drastically. Set many millenia after the Kerbals first took to space, the general culture of former 'Kerbin' has changed drastically. Because of this change, the planet is significantly different - it's known as Gaia and all interplanetary voyages are strictly forbidden by the global government - You must convince them to fly once more. The entire planetary system has overcome a drastic change. A near miss with another star has caused many planets and moons to be captured by Kerbol. Your adventure awaits; take to the stars once more and prove that the eagerly awaiting space-faring Kerbals still have a future. This mod adds more planets and moons to land on whilst keeping the stock feel to the game. I have revisited the entire Kerbin system and added a bit more variation to the different planets and moons, making you feel the joy of exploring them once again. 2. Welcome to the Official Release thread for After Kerbin. After Kerbin is based on the Stock solar system, but 4 billion years into the future, adding highly detailed and intuitive planets to your game. We are in the process of setting up a DMP server. Spread the word! Overview: This mod aims to add a completely new adventure as you begin on Duna (which has Kerbin's properties for ease) and explore and uncover the secrets of the future stock planets. This mod adds highly detailed, 4k planets, each come with their own EVE and Scatterer configurations. Every single planet and moon has been adjusted and changed. Even Jool. All planets have been tested and I have made sure both rockets and spaceplanes can function on each of them. System Requirements: 5GB of RAM KSP 64 bit Donations are never asked for, but always appreciated! Help buy me another pizza if you enjoy the mod "Only during the last breath of life does the mind truly understand how lonely a species really is. Floating. In the dark. Guarded by nothing but the very nemesis which plagues the planet - loneliness, darkness, death." - Source Unknown, Year 7510, Solitude. FAQ: Is this planet mod compatible with present day mods? Yep! Even the visual mods will work together (they didn't with my previous planet mod), meaning you can install nearly any planet mod except those that also replace the home planet. How much RAM do I need for this mod? It varies. I recommend around 5GB at least. If you struggle, lower your texture quality. Watch @TheBeardyPenguin progress through conquering the Kerbal system for the final time in the hopes of saving kerbalkind. DELTA V MAP This mod follows the CC-BY-NC-ND licence. Thank you for downloading!
  3. Welcome to the development thread for [Before Kerbin]. This planet mod is set 2 billion years before the stock planets. You will begin your journey on Eden (Eve) and explore the planets in their older states as they are forming. Kerbin will be dry, dead and cold in the blackness of space. Since Eve is the home planet, the properties will match Stock Kerbin's. In the lore of this mod, Eve hasn't yet been impacted by its moon, killing the life on the planet. This planet mod is in its early stages of development so there will be no download until its first official release. I'm making good progress so it should be within a week or two that this pack is released. What can you do to pass the time? Click follow thread at the top right of this page and you will be notified when there are new posts here, usually from me. FAQ: Will this planet mod add any new stars? No. This is the Kerbol system 2 billion years ago. Adding a new star means you will need modded parts to get there, which I generally disagree with. It also means separating planets and sentencing them to "will not be visited". I want to make sure all planets are easily reachable but also require a challenge once there. Is this planet mod compatible with present day mods like OPM? Yep! Even the visual mods will work together (they didn't with my previous planet mod), meaning you can install nearly any planet mod except those that also replace the home planet. How much RAM do I need for this mod? 5GB at maximum texture quality. Still waiting on a release? Why not join the discord for my planet mods. You can suggest stuff or complain about stuff, I don't mind
  4. Welcome to the Official Release thread for Before Kerbin. Before Kerbin is based on the Stock solar system, but 2 billion years ago in the past. This mod will replace your solar system, I advise beginning a new save. Overview: This mod aims to add a completely new adventure as you begin on Eve (which has Kerbin's properties for ease) and explore and uncover the secrets of the old stock planets. There is lore for you to uncover on the detailed planetary surfaces. This mod adds highly detailed, 4k planets, each come with their own EVE and Scatterer configurations. Every single planet and moon has been adjusted and changed, meaning yes - you can visit "Dres"! All planets have been tested and I have made sure both rockets and spaceplanes can function on them all. System Requirements: 5GB of RAM KSP 64 bit Donations are never asked for, but always appreciated! Help buy me a pizza if you enjoy the mod FAQ: Will this planet mod add any new stars? No. This is the Kerbol system 2 billion years ago. Adding a new star means you will need modded parts to get there, which I generally disagree with. 6. Some of you may have heard of the planet mod Gameslinx's Planet Overhaul by @Gameslinx. Personally, I never got to take a proper look at GPO's planets and moons, but it sounds pretty cool. Four new habitable worlds and a beautiful protostar? Count me in, that is if... it were to work properly. I have heard that GPO no longer works on the latest version of Kopernicus. I tried it out anyway on my copy of KSP 1.8.1, with Kopernicus and KittopiaTech 1.8.1-1 with Beyond Home installed. I modified Gaia's config to make sure that it wouldn't become the homeworld and I edited its moons' orbital properties to make sure that it orbits Gaia and not a renamed Kerbin with Gaia's properties. I also reparented Dread, Dres' GPO moon, around Olu'um on the opposite side of Telos' orbit. And it still didn't work. I then temporarily deleted my save and Beyond Home, and it failed to load when it was loading one of its Scatterer sunflares. Now I want to know; why does this wonderful mod no longer work with KSP 1.8.1 and Kopernicus 1.8.1-1? Did something change with Kopernicus in the versions after GPO's last update? Did something required in GPO's supported Kopernicus versions get removed in the newer versions? If anyone can tell me why Gameslinx's Planet Overhaul no longer works on KSP 1.8.1, please inform me. Any support is greatly appreciated.
  7. DOWNLOAD THE MOD HERE: Welcome to the development thread for [After Kerbin]. This planet mod is set many billions of years after stock KSP. Kerbol (now called Archangel) is midway through its fast journey to becoming a red giant. It has just consumed Moho. Eve is burning, and Kerbin is deserted. You begin your journey on Duna, around a warmer Sun. Begin on a tidally locked, colonised Duna, far into the future. This planet, known as Solitude, is the Kerbals' last hope. This is Kerbin. Four billion years has purged its surface of the space-faring civilisation. FAQ: Will this planet mod add any new stars? No. This is the Kerbol system billions of years in the future. The reason why the RAM requirement is no lower is because the planets use highly detailed, 4k textures for the best experience. 8. Welcome to the Public Community Science Definitions for Gameslinx's Planet Overhaul. Here, you are able to submit, edit and produce science definitions for each planet, each biome and each science experiment for Gameslinx's Planet Overhaul. RULES: Please be respectful and provide legitimate science definitions for planets. I don't want to have to go through them all and correct immature writing. Please don't change what others have done unless it's to correct a grammar or spelling error. Don't mess around with the format of the document as the person who set this up put a lot of effort into it. Only write in the yellow space provided and clearly marked on the spreadsheet. How do I write science Definitions? You can easily write your own science definitions by writing text in the yellow boxes next to the planet and biome. Not all of the planets are present in the document, but I/the creator will add them at a later date. Use the 'User Edits' tab to input your definitions. You can see which experiment you are performing at the top of the spreadsheet. Notes Please note that not all 30 planets/moons are present in the document. I cannot get through writing all this text alone. I would greatly appreciate the support in this endeavour. Credit to @FuzzyMeep TWO for creating and formatting this spreadsheet. Click here to be taken to the spreadsheet. Thank you.
