  1. With Christmas coming soon I thought I would pose this thread so that we all may put good cheer, good tidings and our wishes out there. I wish to find love, to find happiness and to find peace. How about you all? What do you wish? 003412052023
  2. Deliver the priciest "present" possible to the North Pole. Most expensive present wins. A present consists of any number and type of parts joined together, the more expensive the better! Be creative Due to spending all our money on the present we can't afford to upgrade the KSC facilities so your craft must fit within the Level 1 Launchpad and Runway restrictions by weighing 18 tons or less. Rules: Submit photos or a video of your entry, showing the present in the VAB or Hangar for cost purposes and then delivered at the North Pole Stock and MH parts only. I'm not aware of any drastic price changes between recent versions, so feel free to use anything from 1.3 to 1.6. The craft must weight 18 tons or less Mods that are purely informational (e.g KER), visual (e.g. EVE, Scatterer) or audio (e.g. Chatterer) are allowed. Mechjeb assistance is also fine. You must start from either the KSC Launchpad or Runway (any level VAB or Runway is acceptable) Finish by detaching or decoupling the present anywhere in either Kerbin's "Ice Caps" or "Northern Ice Shelf" biome. The present must be inert and not contribute any fuel, thrust, control authority or more than incidental lift during the trip. (however EC generation is ok) No more than very minor part clipping or offsetting when making the present - excessive clipping (e.g multiple fuel tanks in the space of one) will ruin it! Any excessive part clipping, Kraken drives or debug menu shenanigans earns you a place on the naughty list. This is a lighthearted challenge and the rules can't cover every possible edge case, so try to stick to the spirit and most importantly, have fun! The coveted and prestigious "Award of the Reindeer" shall be bestowed on any entry that goes the extra mile and fulfills any of the categories below. Notes: Each AotR category is a separate award Each AotR category is awarded *once* only to the first entry that successfully meets the criteria A single entry can obtain multiple awards Watching the movie(s) of your award is not required AotR Categories: The Polar Express Deliver your present in less than 10 minutes Die Hard Blow up the VAB during delivery Gremlins Deliver the present despite something going wrong during the mission e.g staging mishap, forgetting parachute, functional part breaking Home Alone Bring all your Kerbals except one on the trip Planes, Trains and Automobiles Deliver the present without leaving the atmosphere The Grinch Deliver your present to the South Pole Scrooged Bring the present back with you to the KSC after delivery (present must still be capable of detaching) While you were Sleeping Have a Kerbal on board pass out from G-force during the mission Trading Places Swap 2 Kerbals using EVA while flying in the atmosphere Leaderboard: Player Cost AotR @dire 89,132 Planes, Trains and Automobiles

    I is back

First of all, hi. With school in less that ten days, I decided to get used to a PC again (as I had been playing games such as GTA V, Star Wars Battlefront II, Star Trek Online, AND Kerbal Space Program - mentioned later) on my Xbox One. You can imagine running a game such as KSP on a laptop, and go, "okay, what about it?" Well you see, I have so many mods in my game, that when I played it after school, I would go and have my shower and by the time I had put on my pyjamas, it had just finished loading. Roughly around 15 mins. My average frame rate is 35, the graphics have to be turned on to 'Low', but I don't care. Cause I have some new wireless headphones, that project audio clearly. Have you ever heard the beauty of the main theme in surround sound headphones while your parents and sister argue over rights to Netflix usage? I can't even hear them, as these block incoming noise very effectively. Also over the holidays, I celebrated my birthday. And I got the best gift of all: The LEGO Saturn V kit. I had to stand on my chair to put the LES in place, my cat knocked it over (resulting in a very miserable Thursday night having to rebuild it, with Ally sitting on the box just watching me, laughing as I have to build it again after her crazy chasing around the house), and I just spent nearly a day building a custom launch tower for it, as I'm putting it on display at the local library with my dad. And for those who were saying "How do you have KSP for Xbox, if it's not in the store?" Well you see, I kinda have it just sitting in 'My Games & App's', ready to be played. I know it's glitchy, there's no debug menu or mod support (yet), but it was fun seeing my mum and dad try to complete the Kerbal X tutorial mission. Mum got off the launch pad, only to crash, but dad actually got into orbit! So, with school fast approaching, I shall be preparing to sit outside my locker for 90 minutes a day, looking at the various stories on the 'Mission Reports' section, and downloading more mods to further push my available RAM size to dwindling proportions (until it gets deleted by the IT department for the quarterly computer check. Many people have said to delete System32 to hide their games, one actually did it). And with that, hello again!

    Back!

Wow. After only two days, I got hooked on KSP again. I have 2-3 months to play it, as school just finished for the year! We go back on February the 15th, so roughly 12 weeks of holidays is here! It was total madness. When the bell rang, everyone just cheered and ran out of the hall. Some kids were yelling "Free! Free at last!" while others were screaming, and one kid even went a little overboard and took his shirt off, diving into the pool outside the gym. 3 whole months of gaming is finally here! YYEESSSS!!!!!!!
  5. Hello everyone, The holiday season has started and we couldn’t be more excited. This is not only a season where we get to spend time with our loved ones and show them our appreciation, but it also has astronomical significance, because of the winter solstice, and that is one of the reasons why many cultures and civilizations have celebrated this season throughout millenia. Surprisingly, Kerbin’s position and tilt in relation to Kerbol makes it very similar with planet Earth, till such degree that they also have a winter solstice in this season and Kerbals also celebrate it by giving gifts and building crafts! Kerbals even have a tradition similar to Earth’s Advent Calendar and naturally we wanted to share it with you all! So, how is it going to be? Each Tuesday and Thursday for the next three weeks, we will be uploading little surprises on our forum, which will be only available for download for a limited time (24 hours each). That is, 7 different collectibles, we want to you to have and enjoy. The first 5 people to post evidence of their complete collection in this thread will be rewarded with a special giveaway. } We will be posting weekly reminders, so that you don’t miss out. With that said, stay tuned and start collecting. Happy launchings, - The KSP Dev Team Now you can get the whole collection, just click for the collectible you want: 1.- Jebediah Kerman Papercraft 2.- Mk1-2 Command Pod Papercraft 3.- Season's Greetings Wallpaper 4.- Valentina Kerman Papercraft 5.- Jumping Flea Papercraft 6.- KERpollo17 Wallpaper 7.- Bug-E Buggy Papercraft
  6. The kerbals are taking a break fro being shot into space on untested rockets with too many bossters and no struts, or being stranded in a tiny Hitchhiker forever, to celebrate Kristmas when Kanta Klause comes and brings presents for any kerbal willing to co-operate with the KSP! Goes like this: Poster 1: On the first day of Kristmas my kerbal gave to me: A booster. Poster 2: On the second day of Kristmas my kerbal gave to me: 2 struts and a booster. Rules: 1: Try not to repeat. 2: Try to make it rhyme somewhat. On the first day of Kristmas my dear kerbal gave to me: A copy of KSP!
