  1. I built an ssto with rapiers and I was able to do the ascent normally until I needed to deactivate the rapiers so I could run on nuclear engines alone. I assigned them to an action group but when I went to shut them down the action group menu was locked so I had to manually shut them down which took time because I was using a xbox controller to operate the cursor. Eventually the action group menu unlocked for some reason when I was totally out of the atmosphere but I don't know why I wasn't able to use action groups while in the upper atmosphere while all my engines were firing. Can somebody help me resolve this issue?
  2. Hey guys, so I am working on my first mission and thought to create a rather oldschool mission to reach a stable orbit as efficiently as possible using a specific craft, the "Efficiency Star". There are still some bugs like messages not showing up in the end graphic. It could be a mission builder bug but I'm not sure! My workaround is to work with dialogs that pop up next to it! The way I have designed the mission is quite complex because there are some nodes missing yet. For example a node that returns a resource number so that I could directly turn that number into a score. I hope that will be implemented! So right now the score can only jump by 100 points when you reach certain milestones. To achieve GOLD you have to reach 2400 points which is for the pros! You need the latest KSP Making History Expansion to play this. All you have to do is to unpack the zip file into your KSP/Missions folder. Example path: Steam\SteamApps\common\Kerbal Space Program\Missions\Efficiency Star Challenge I hope you enjoy and post your result here! Remember, this is not as easy as it looks. Mission Download (I get a possible virus alert on my browser but it's just the exported zip file) --- edit: I fixed an issue where it would show a success allthough the player ran into a fail condition. Explosions are not bugs! ;P You should always get a message when something went wrong.
  3. So i am working on an engine pack. And i configured an engine and i tried to add RealPlume to it. It didn't work! I tried everithing!!!! And i couldn't put costum sounds on it but the engine works just fine! Please help!

Let me present you a book (well, it's an E-book after all) what I wrote in the end of the end of the last year (2017), called It's actually a (more-or-less) simple story based on the Carrier mode of KSP from the first sounding rockets to the first Minmus landing. I discussed with @Darth Badie earlier, she agreed and supported me to do it. This book is completely free-of-charge, all credits to SQUAD. I'd like to ask you to read it, and if you like, leave me comments with your opinions, because sometimes in the future I'd like to write another KSP-themed book if the new EULA let me do it.   6. So I’ve landed kerbals on the mun and I’ve decided that the best “next step” for my space program would be to send a rover to the muns poles or somewhere else but then I realised. What’s the point? Will it give me more science or money or what. Apart from being realistic what is the point of rovers on ksp if you arnt using them for base building/maintenance. Please tell me what you think rovers are good for. Also mods if if this isn’t in the right place,then please move it to the right forum.

Just want to share my experience on ksp and how I encounter it in the past me as a kid in 2012 are really into an astronomy and space stuff and I wonder is there any game that let you play as nasa or space agency, launching rocket and stuff. I google it and found Kerbal Space Program. at first a thought pfft this game looks unfinish and look cheap. at that time it was version 0.13 but regardless I try it (by pirated it...ugh..ugh) anyway I am glad I did because I still play it to this day (and buying it from steam as soon I have my own laptop). I usually dont run ksp on steam so I dont have the record of how long I play this game but I think its about 600 hour atleast for the last 5 year also while on you tube I saw the fake trailer of ksp, I remember saw that vid a long time ago. that vid is legend and the music stuck into my head

  11. In the science mode on Xbox allows me to recover vessels though I’m in a orbit etc,I don’t know if it just my settings or a glitch,please help! (I did fiddle around with settings,if it helps)
  12. When I go to the SPH or VAB to work on spacecraft, something very annoying is happening. Even though I am selecting different parts tabs, e.g. Science, Utilities, Fuel, etc., the window stays stubbornly on the Pods tab, and will not change. This means I can't build anything, unless I wanted to stack Mk1 cockpits for eternity. Save File (To download it just hit "download all" in the top right) I am running 1.3.1, with B9 Aerospace, KER, MechJeb 2, Hyperedit, Docking Port Alignment, JSI, Kerbaltek, Deployable Engines, Kerbal Reusability Expansion, and Smoke Screen installed. (yeah that's a lot I know).
  13. Hey everyone! I am fairly new to this forum, and I thought it would be cool if I contributed something! So, without further ado... KSP - Logo 3D Model Recently, I working in Sketchup to create a 3D model of the KSP logo in blender ! It was being made for an upcoming animation I am making, and the work took a hefty 5 hours to fully complete, so I thought it would be nice to upload it so people wont have to spend 5 hours making the exact same thing.   14. When I use the New Command Module for KSP 1.4.0 I can't seem to access the indoor camera or even see any of the Kerbals that are in the specific part. I've tried to re-install Ksp and remove all my mods but nothing seems to work.... Could someone please help me?

  17. So in my Sandbox I have been to the Mun and Minmus. Now I want to get to Duna, but there are so many ways, Like an Orion/Apollo style, The Martian style with a mothership, A simple giant rocket, etc. What is the Most efficient way? Or the Easiest?
  18. Have you ever wanted a Ballistic missile (or orbit-capable budget rocket:D ) that is low-cost and can get 70kg to LKO or LEO(WIP)? "edit :a minor mistake:D" 1.1 m wide and 13 m tall. I am definitely doing something I am planning to make a replica and a kerbal version of the Vector block 0.1 Rocket! This is the progress on the Kerbal version so far! SO WHAT DO YOU THINK? SHALL I CONTINUE ? (that is how the replica will look like) (and for the realplume i will use alcholox) (and planning to do RSS configs if no one wants)
  19. Hi everyone....so, I'm an idiot. Around 6 months ago I took my PC into the high school where I work (physics teacher) to use it to teach orbital mechanics to my class. Worked a treat, had the PC there for about 1-2 weeks, kids loved it, then brought it home. When I put it back together in its usual place, KSP performance had dropped noticeably. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, removing mods, nothing seemed to fix it. I assumed there had been an auto-update, and that KSP had finally progressed beyond the capabilities of my old(ish) PC. I've got thousands of hours in the game, and I tend to dip in and out, so I just shrugged my shoulders and went surfing for 6 months. Then, yesterday, my brother was installing a wireless card and casually mentioned that I had my monitor plugged into my motherboard instead of the graphics card ... safe to say I'm no computer genius. ANYWAY...Now that I know my computer can run it, I'm jumping back in. My style of KSP is playing with as much prettiness as possible. My PC had no issues running SVE + scatterer 6 months ago. But I've been away a little while, and possibly the beautification landscape has changed? My standards were (and hopefully will be again): Distant Object Enhancement Planetshine Stock Visual Enhancements Scatterer Real Plume (so much love for this mod) Texture replacer Windowshine Am I missing anything amazing? I've heard of Spectra, but not sure how that fits with SVE. And also confused as to the current state of EVE vs SVE (my vague memory is that SVE = EVE + scatterer?). Also on the lookout for the best skybox out there. Thanks!!
  20. Hello Fellow Pilots, I have a little maybe known problem. I have annoying microlags every 10 seconds. a little freeze frame for maybe quarter a second. the length of the freeze extends with the progress in the game (more spacecrafts, satellites.. etc) I heard this is a RAM issue. But do you guys have other solutions for me? Its really anoying. Thanks alot H0FF1

Hi, I was using ksp yesterday which worked fine with these mods, https://ibb.co/iCjFA7 Then today I go to play KSP and all I get is a black screen, I've tried playing with no mods I still get the black screen. I uninstalled it, then installed it with no mods and still get the black screen. Any Ideas? Here is my system info: OS: Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon 64-bit Cinnamon version: 3.6.7 Linux Kernel: 4.13.0-32-generic Processor: Intel Core i7-5557U CPU @ 3.10GHz x 2 Memory: 15.6 GB Hard Drives: 946.8 Graphics Card : Intel Corporation Broadwell-U Intergrated Graphics Don't worry it's working now
  22. Hey Guys, I just installed a ton of mods today (i will make a list with the mods if anyone want). But im wondering how the tech tree will be filled with the inofficial modded parts. i know mods like Community Tech Tree and others but is it guaranteed that EVERY modded part is Correct implemented in the tech tree? sometimes i think the parts that are not implemented in the tech tree are just not available in the career mode. Can anyone give me an answer about that? And sorry for possible english mistakes. its not my main language
  23. Concorde7 The Concorde has always fascinated me with it's abilities for a Passenger Aircraft. With it's unique nose and speed (just to name a few) make it an outstanding Aircraft. The speeds on this one are near 350 m/s with 4 Panthers in afterburner mode. Can't touch the actual Concorde speeds but handling is really nice even at full speed. With afterburners and full throttle the craft lifts off the runway very quickly. The intakes and engines are also a little bigger than the real craft but they look so smooth and I decided to keep them.   25. I recall someone once in an old KSP-TV stream had once made a sextant to use with looking out a capsule window and get a reading on the stars in space. Has anyone else ever tried this? By extension, is it possible to navigate in KSP using the stars in stock KSP? Like writing up a star table, for example, to tell you where you should be if you can see certain stars at certain angles. Also, outside of just extracting the sky-box outright, has anyone made a star chart for KSP? I'm rather curious to know.
