  1. Thought this idea a long, long time ago when I first brought my laptop to boarding school (My school allows it anyways) & I was 'bashed' by my batchmate who's went crazy with Mobile Legends - Bang Bang (Indonesians can explain this even more). In short, MLBB is a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena in form of a mobile game, developed by a Chinese game developer, Shanghai Moonton. It's on par with PUBG Mobile around Southeast Asia, but IMHO PUBG Mobile surged with popularity even more than the knockoff MOBA game (The game (MLBB), at early stages, blatantly used assets from League of Legends IIRC, not in form of 'free models'). In fact, some Indonesians, who is referred as 'player base' (Basically like major influencer or majority society) of MLBB chose KSP over MLBB and I hope this number will grow and eventually hit Malaysia as well. So right here I'd like to emphasise what's good about the universe of our lovely little green creatures as opposed to the dimensions of mostly PG18 Figures(Yes, some female characters have big / near-exposed stuff, really dangerous) (And false fictional claim on real-life inspired heroes including Gatotkaca (Indonesian hero legend) & Badang (Malaysian hero legend) (Yes, they still didn't take downnthe fictional claim on the loading screen)). Also, this thread is for discussing points to explain Pros of KSP to explain to someone notorious for bashing most people who play games like this (KSP). So here's my points : Pros of KSP Physics application. More exploration. More challenging, especially if you have Life Support mods installed. Wacky designs can be made; for fun, etc. Recreation of history are possible. Fancy shots are easy to be taken. Training on navigation skills Especially on planets with water bodies, looking for directions using the map view could make you good at reading maps. Cons of MLBB As mentioned earlier, PG18 (Parental guide for ages 18 and below). Not an original idea. 'Fictional content' disclaimer not removed even after at least two real-life inspired heroes added. Rages present; in fact, even worse than PUBG (And its mobile counterpart, Fortnite & Apex) No application on physics; the hero Fanny instantly jumps from 0 to 60 (?, didn't know how fast Fanny travelled with her grapple) Spacial Thanks to those Indonesians who chose the right way : (List is TBC, but several lines of text below are self-explanatory) @GRS @YNM @Mukita12 @Dimas152 @ARS @BlackWing Pilot And all the members of the Southeast Asian threads, including : And more Southeast Asian players of KSP.
  2. Hello, I used to play KSP but quitted. Now that I started playing again I seem to have a problem. I can't add a maneuver. I can't click on the node and add a maneuver. It's really annoying cause I can't launch anything to other planets. I can get in orbit without it but I need to get to Minmus for some missions. Picture of it
  3. I don't have any experience in modding ksp and I am playing on 1.3.1 with realism overhaul and I want to create my own parts but with realistic stats who hard is that? And who can I do that? Thanks for helping
  4. So today I created a stock falcon 9 and crew dragon/dragon 2 spacecraft if any one wants to use it. Download it from kerbalx, its for 1.6.1: https://kerbalx.com/JohnsterSpaceProgram/Falcon-9-and-Crew-Dragon This craft includes a falcon 9 which you can try and land the first stage if you want, and crew dragon (which recently was flown on the DM-1 mission). Carries 5 kerbals to your space station and back, or around the mun. Check the action groups to see what you can do with the crew dragon and falcon 9 first stage. The main reason I made this was so I could recreate DM-1 in ksp: What do you think, if there are any improvements I could make tell me.
  5. Hello! Today I challenge you to see how far you can go into the waters of either kerbin, eve, or laythe (or the real solar system depending on what mod's you got). This is my current lowest depth: If you can go lower, post an image and I will put you on the list of lowest depths: List of Lowest Depths (Kerbin): 1st - @Scarecrow : -1375 m 2nd - @Johnster_Space_Program : -1039 m 3rd - @A Random Kerbonaut: - 758 m 4th - @Rocket In My Pocket : -403 m List of Lowest Depths (Eve): 1st - @The_Arcitect : -1331 m 2nd - 3rd - 4th - List of Lowest Depths (Laythe): 1st - @GRS: Around -1700 m 2nd - 3rd - 4th - List of Lowest Depths (Other Planets With Oceans): 1st - @The_Arcitect: -267 m on Tekto 2nd - 3rd - 4th - @Klapaucius: Finite Depth?
  6. Would it be possible to make a mission in making history based on the Apollo 18 movie? It would be interesting if you could... but can you?
  7. Description: - Start and stop within the runway. - Under 10 tons - Under 123 parts - No SRB(Solid Rocket Booster)〜said Jebediah Kerman - Stock parts only - No mod applied (E.g. TweckScale) - No cheats - Impress Jebediah Kerman Let the challenge begin!
  8. I'm trying to update my KSP version to 1.6 but it's not showing up in my BETAS on Steam. It only goes up to 1.5.1. Am I missing something here? Please help! Thanks!
  9. Ever since making history's release date was revealed i have been wondering if it is coming to KSP: Enhanced Edition. Is there any one that could answer this? Thanks! Oh i also heard that you can get a cheat menu In Enhanced Edition, does this exist and if so how do you get it open?
  10. So yeah I want to make a movie in ksp called 2019: A Jebedian Odyssey and all I have for it so far is the script for the prologue and chapter 1. Tell me what you think and what changes I should make below! PROLOGUE: The Year: 1999 Date: August 5 Location: Kerbal Space Center, At The Launchpad The large rocket stands tall on the pad as a light breeze blows over at the crack of dawn. Jebediah, Bill, and a few other kerbals are preparing to launch on the first mission of Gene's brilliantly named project, The Grand Tour. The mission, which will happen over several launches, with this one, the Munar Minmus Exploration Mission I (or MEM I), will go on a grand tour of the kerbol system. By landing on every planet and moon possible at the end of the mission and returning home to kerbin on the final mission. And, if possible, intersect and refuel at an asteroid or two. The first launch in the mission, MMEM I, will land Jebediah, Bill, and the aforementioned kerbals on The Mun before going and landing on Minmus, and then hopefully succesfully return back to Kerbin. But... Chapter 1: ACT 1 - THE LAUNCH Gene Kerman: T-5 minutes to launch. How's everything going? Jebediah Kerman: Me, Bill, and Bob are good, finished fueling tanks on MMEM I. Gene: T-200 Seconds. Bill, are the fuel cells recharged? Bill Kerman: Yes, its great to be on this mission with you guys. Gene: T-60 seconds. Bob, did you pack the snacks? Bob Kerman: No, but i got TV Dinners! Jeb and Bill: Bob! Ok, TV dinners will do. Good thing we brought some extra heaters. Gene: T-10 seconds. Prepare for liftoff! Jeb: I Can't wait to get this mission started! Gene: T-5,4,3,2,1... We have liftoff! Gene: Looking Good Jebediah Kerman, T+10 seconds. Jeb: I think i can already see space from here. This is great! But... ACT 2 - FLASHBACK 2 Years Earlier: July 4, 1997 Gene: I'm thinking of doing something... Gene: Something Bold... Werhner Von Kerman: Like what? Gene: A new project... better than previous ones... Werhner: Even better than Kerpollo 11 in 1989 and the Koyager Program? Gene: Yes, better than that. Gene: Remember when we launched the koyager 1,2, and 3 missions on a great tour of the eveian, joolian, and dunian systems? Werhner: Yes, i helped design Koyager 2, which flew past the Jool System on June 5, 1993, one year after launch... Gene: Well, i want to do that, but with kerbals and we would land on every planet and moon possible over several launches in the project. Gene: I will call it, the Grand Tour Project! Werhner: Great, we shall begin development immediately! ACT 3 - FROM KERBIN ORBIT Bill: You ever see anything like that before? Jeb: Yes, Bill. It's amazing. Kerbin in all her glory. Gene: Prepare For TMI Jeb: So, i can't wait to get to the Mun, but i'm worried... Bill: Why? Jeb: I think im just being paranoid, but im worried something bad will happen. Bill: Oh, you are just being paranoid, just don't think about it. Jeb: Okay Gene: Start Trans-Munar Injection Burn Now! Bob: I can feel the power of the engine behind us, its amazing! Gene: Ok, burn is complete, see you soon... Jeb: We're off to The Mun, and Kerbin is already getting smaller. Jeb: Mission Control, we will see you again tommorow when are about halfway there, at T+18 hours into mission. Jeb: I just hope my suspicions aren't right... I think this is good so far but if I should change anything tell me below!
  11. Using the mission builder what's your best ksp mission you have made, if any? (I have made a few myself, and currently working on another)
  12. So today, after getting the Kerbal Historic Institute mod that adds the old (pre-0.18) parts back, I decided to do this: I will go to Minmus next, then beyond!
  13. Planet Dunope v0.2.0 by Johnster Space Program is my first mod for kerbal space program which adds a new planet to the kerbin system, Dunope! Enjoy exploring this small, nearby planet! Watch my official first trailer for the mod here: Ever needed a planet that was in close proximity, had relatively low gravity, and is small, but not too small? Well then, Planet Dunope is what your looking for! Kopernicus is required to use this mod, which can also be downloaded on CKAN along with it. Dependencies (You need this for the mod to work): Kopernicus 1.6.1-2 https://github.com/Kopernicus/Kopernicus/releases What I'm hoping to add in future releases: A Moon or Two Around Dunope A Different/Improved Texture for Dunope Some Improvement Changes To Dunope This is my first mod so if there are any problems with downloading or using the mod, you can't download this anymore anyways. Download Planet Dunope v0.2.0 Here: https://www.spacedock.info/mod/2085/Planet Dunope
  14. What's your favorite version of Kerbal Space Program? Mine is 1.2.2, since that was the newest version out when I started playing. What's Yours?
  15. So, I want to start making planets and planet packs in ksp, but I don't really know how to do it. I currently have this (images below), but I would like someone to help me that knows how to do it with kopernicus. How do I do it?
  16. So I find that the background music for KSP isn't the most exciting stuff in the world. I'm making a playlist for while I'm playing. Does anyone have a similar playlist, and if so, what all is on it? ALSO, COME SUPPORT OUT ME KERBAL CHANNEL!!! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkrhECdyyuDUReHIGkchbUQ
  17. So not too long ago I saw a new ksp loading was out about changes coming in 1.7. But i'm wondering, will there be a 1.6.2 or 1.7 preview or will they just release 1.7.0 with no updates in between?
  18. I use a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro flight stick, always have, amazing controller. I've played KSP on and off for ages yet every time I come back to play, I run into this same issue but this time I cannot seem to solve it. In the settings under the input tab, when I try to map the pitch, roll, and yaw axis, no matter what I do, I cannot get the changes I've made to each axis, to apply and save. Rather there is already a pre existing joystick input mapped to each axis from when I first recently played the game, from when I first installed the game onto my new PC, the other day. Now when I map the new inputs, I notice the "number" of the joystick axis changes from "Current Assignment: Joy0.3" to "Current Assignment: Joy0.1" noting that both Joy 0.3 and 0.1 are the same axis input (forward on the stick)... I hit "Accept" then apply the changes, then I go back to remap those axis to see if the changes saved, only to find that my newly mapped input "Joy0.1" has not saved to the axis and the "Current Assignment" has returned to " Joy0.3", which now seems to be the default. I can clear the assignment to "none" but when I return to check the button I just cleared, even after hitting Apply, it has returned to Joy0.3. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling on steam, I've tried deleting the settings.cfg file and no matter what I do I cannot change/save the newly default "joy0.3" to any new joystick input. Ultimately, I cannot get any "in-game" response from any of the axis on the joystick, obviously. All the other buttons I've mapped work fine. I've also noticed that each different USB input I try, the "Joy:XX" number increases and I have also found that I should use the same USB port as per another thread. I did not use the same USB port since the problem began after I unplugged the flight stick and plugged it back in the next day... Windows 10 hates me... Any of you fine folks having the same issue or be willing to lend some adice? I've been over 36hrs without flying, I'm all out of Δv, and I'm gonna lllllllose it....
  19. PICTURES HERE: https://imgur.com/a/8vkUA1D Hello. I'm not sure if i've installed some oddmod or whether KSP updated nuke engine info but look at the attached photo of the nuke engine? there's so much useless info i don't need to see, i can also switch fuel types and can fill them with things such as actinides, enriched uranium, plutonium-238 etc ... never heard of this before? Does anyone know what's going on? can i simplify the info? there's also another issue since i cannot use them in space, they don't fire, i've done all the checks and liquid fuel tanks are in the same stage but they won't turn on. any guesses? Thanks, Nick
  20. (sorry if this is wrong category, I'm new here) As most of you know, KSP was supposed to have a story, but it was scrapped by the dev team before it was fully implemented. Here is what the story was supposed to be: In a forum post from late 2013, Squad member Jeff C.(NovaSilisko) described an idea he had for connecting many easter eggs into a story concerning a civilization which predated the Kerbals. Experiments with interstellar travel resulted in the homeworld of this "precursor civilization" being flung out into an extremely distant orbit. Before they froze to death, they launched monoliths and other messages onto many planets and moons in hopes of seeding intelligent life. Instead, they created Kerbals, not-so-intelligent life. The planet would not show up in any map and would be too distant to be observed with a telescope, making locating it by chance nearly impossible. However, players would be able to find transmitters beaming out SSTV signals on various bodies, each one of which would provide part of the orbital parameters necessary to locate it. The planet would be a bit smaller than Kerbin, covered in ruined cities and frozen oceans, and perpetually in twilight due to being so far from Kerbol. The only element of this narrative which made it into the game is the SSTV transmitter on Duna, which transmits an image originally intended to depict 4 members of the precursor civilization standing on their homeworld, with the logo of their government. Had the narrative story been completed, it would also have contained part of the orbital parameters. Because the story was never implemented into the game, this explanation for the SSTV signal's imagery is arguably non-canon. I was just playing KSP, when suddenly I thought of something which is pretty big. On Duna, there is a camera arm hidden underground similar to that of the Curiosity Mars rover. This led me to believe that this ancient precursor race, was in fact, the human race. Since almost the whole Kerbol System resembles our Solar System, I believe that humans had advanced very far, and then accidentally warped themselves to oblivion, and long after, Kerbalkind was born. On Duna, the camera arm which is similar to the Curiosity rover, could actually be the Curiosity rover's arm, covered by years of dust and Duna/Mars sand. In the SSTV transmission on Duna, the 4 precursor members resemble humanoid figures, in my opinion, so this precursor race, is almost definitely the human race. Post your ideas below, and any objections or additions to what I've said!
  21. Here are images from the first time I played KSP 1.6.1, which I started playing today! (I previously had played 1.2.2 and 1.4.2)
  22. Greetings! This is my very first post in here, and I've already got a mod in progress! You see I've made a Code in VSCode to compile and a ready APU sound I've recorded and modified (removed ambient sounds n wind) to be used, and I want it to work with DECQ's space shuttle system. The problem is that I can't compile it due to Windows 7 not wanting to update to SP1 for drivers problems eventually making VS requiring it soooo whatever... this made me hit a dead end. Anyway, the only solution I've got is by getting anyone who made a plugin before, and compile the code for me (Text or .cs file) to a .dll. Note that I'll only provide it in private not in public, but the mod itself will be released as soon as it's ready to, and the guy who made this possible will be mentionned. Best Regards, Bayou M.
  23. Hello! Welcome To The Second of Many What I've Done So Far in Career Mode, where I share with you what ive done so far in my new career mode! If you haven't looked at the last one I made about the career mode, I suggest you read that post first before reading this one, so you will know what has previously happened. So, this is what happened this time I played my new career mode. First, Ikicked off space tourism by doing my first tourist contract from the tourist plus contract pack, as seen in the images below (everything went well!) Next, after successful minmus flyby and orbiter missions, I did the first landing on the minmus and safetly returned back to kerbin! (Though I ran out of fuel so I had to push the craft most of the way back) The next few images show the actual landing, which was easy due to minmus having low gravity (only 2nd to gilly's, im pretty sure) After landing, I planted a flag and did some science for a contract. (Tell me who's on the flag, in the 3rd image below) So after that I took off and headed back to kerbin. Expect that I ran out of fuel and had to do this for about 20 real life minutes just to get back... Now, the spacecraft is approaching kerbin, and had a successful landing in a grassy area of land. And so that brings the end of the 70, almost 71 day long mission to land on minmus and get back. But I have one more mission to share with you, Luna 2. So yeah for another historical progression mission, this time I did Luna 2 (AKA Lunik 2), which impacted the moon. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luna_2 And that brings and end to the second post of this, I hope you see the next one!
  24. I have a problem... I tired everything but I can't solve it.The particles don't stay on their place.I want a normal engine plume. 25. Hello. I recently attempted a mission to kerbin's highest peak to complete an objective in career mode and this is what happened. First, here is a look at the craft I used, its a pretty basic rocket, it was able to get into orbit easily. After the rocket was done, it was time to launch! The launch went pretty well, as seen in the next few images. (I used Jedediah Kerman for the daring mission) After getting above 70,000 m, I coasted to my apoapsis, and did a burn to enter into kerbin orbit. Now that I was in kerbin orbit, I prepared to do a burn to change my inclination so it would match with the mountain's inclination. But before doing that, I decided to do a EVA Spacewalk. With the EVA complete. It was time to get back In the ship and do the burn, but, as I found out, I ran out of fuel before I could finish the burn. After loading a quick save I decided to give up on the mission for now and return back to the ground (or sea, because that's where I splashed down) I will reattempt this in Career Mode in the future, but if you have any tips or ideas to help me out, tell me below! This is JohnsterSpaceProgram, signing off until my next post!
