  2. This adds a SpaceX Droneship to land your rockets on! It includes a static for Kerbal Konstructs and a VAB part. This is a continuation of Space X Barge Lander, which only had a KK static. I added the VAB part. In the future, I hope to add more parts related to SpaceX's Fleet, such as tugs. It's not perfect yet, but I'm working on it.   7. Hi there everyone! Raidernick, who is the maintainer of the KOSMOS SSPP mod, was kind enough to give me permission to join the Kosmos Team to help. I'm currently in the middle of rebalancing the SSPP parts for KSP 1.0.5-1.1.2. This will be release 0.16 when complete. To be clear, this pre-release should work with KSP 1.0.5 and is definitely intended to work with KSP 1.1.2, 1.1.1, and 1.1.0. You can find the dev branch of my fork at https://github.com/Bezzier/KOSMOS/tree/dev where I'm looking for people interested in testing the stock balance of some proposed changes. It feels right to me, but now I'm at the point I would like to see some people using Kosmos SSPP with stock to look at it and see if they're happy or not, before we proceed with another release. Changes are: Added tags to parts for editor searching gave APAS-69 the size apasSize1 instead of size1, so it won't try to dock with the stock CoT removed animation from APAS-69. This results in the fins constantly being deployed ready to dock, and also in fixing the docking axis problem that has plagued the part since the mod was released.   9. This is a simple modification I mostly made for myself to bring the classic Mk1 cockpit back into the game without being a carbon copy of the new Mk1. To that end I've buffed it slightly, moved it up the tech tree, and changed the flavor text. New in Version 2: Working crew lights, detail lights, and a prototype decal. I thought I'd make it available for anyone else who misses the old style but doesn't want 2 identical cockpits cluttering up the part list. Any comments, suggestions, questions, or concerns are welcome! Changelog- Version 1: First release, updated stats, description, and tech tree node. Version 2: Working cockpit light/detail lights, "prototype" tag, and an internal antenna added. New download link. The parts have some values for stock aerodynamic parameters but i have no idea if they are reasonable nor will i take the time to balance for stock. In contrast, FAR figures this stuff out automagically. Introduction The ultimate goal of this part pack is to introduce the often neglected rocket history of the large land mass between the US and Russia/USSR to KSP. Most of the parts in this mod will be based on old German and Austrian spacecraft - both real and imagined. While some of the adaptations will be more or less true to life in function and purpose, others will include a deal of artistic liberty to make it more practical in-game. The art-style takes heavy inspiration from the style of Tantares, so these part packs will likely fit together nicely. Asteroid Recycling Technologies (ART) allows you to remove asteroid mass and attach multiple reconfigurable storage tanks to the asteroid's surface. ART is a collaboration between myself (plugin code, configs, and Unity), and WaRi (modeling and textures). How it works: First, Attach (via the same mechanism as the ARM Claw) a mass extractor to the surface of the asteroid. This device (aka the Jaw) uses a high powered laser to vaporize asteroid mass, transforming it into rock (a new resource) and prepare the interior space for use. Next, attach one of several reconfigurable storage tank hatches to the asteroid. Each of these contains a specific resource (LiquidFuel, Oxidizer, XenonGas and Karbonite are included, mod creators and players are encouraged to create more!). These begin with zero capacity, but can be inflated once attached to the asteroid and take advantage of the space created by the Jaw. Better yet, these storage tanks can be reconfigured on the fly based on your needs - need more Karbonite space and less XenonGas space? no problem - just compress and expand the different tanks. There's even an option to bleed off the contents if you need to make room for something else. What do I do with all of this rock?! You can bleed it off - just select 'Vent Rock' on your asteroid's right click menu to toss some out into space. Or, use one of our handy low-yeild extractors (ones for Karbonite, Minerals/Water, and Substrate/Ore come with the release) to transform rock into useable stuff. Example: Using the Jaw, a player can create available space of, say, 50,000 units. They could then attach tanks for Karbonite, Liquid Fuel, and Oxidizer, and distribute that 50K capacity among all three, and change it as needed (i.e. reduce Karbonite space and expand LFO space during conversion, etc.) There's some extra stuff too! Lastly, there are two new parts for other rocky goodness: a nifty mass driver engine that runs off of Rock, as well as an accompanying storage tank. These are similar to ion drives, but with much higher thrust at the expense of ISP (so they sit somewhere between the nuke and the ion drive). Behemoth Aerospace Engineering (BAE) 99 Behemoth Parts This parts pack contains engines, tanks, and other part categories in three sizes that do not exist in stock KSP, namely 5m, 7.5m, and 10m. Parts are color-coded according to the universal electronic color code, simply because the author is an old RDAF radar technician. Hence, size4 (5m) is yellow, size5 (7.5m) is green, and size6 (10m) is blue. Engines are kept at reasonable thrust figures and are thus not overpowered compared to the thrust/size curve of stock parts. The same goes for reaction wheels. HI everyone Is it possible to make a system where a vessel is treated as 1 part but the sub functions of it component parts remain in the vessel because KSP accounts for every single part although that is for Physics purposes i mean like reentry space station breaking but that also causes kraken so maybe you can enable this mod while in flight or sth or just straight up cheat because the kraken is nothing but the parts physics messing up and and making everything one part essentially negates kraken and if you worry about aerodynamics the aerodynamics is by shape of craft and its not bang on accurate so eh its just reentry and smashing on the ground so basically what my idea is to make a catalog for the OG parts in a Cache file or something which can be Accessed easily and The atmo physics that breaks the parts off can be applied through stress regions i guess but it is a way to do stuff so like the parts are like ghosts they are there but not accounted for and are broken through stress regions how does this sound for a plugin

  23. I've looked through posts here on the forum, on Reddit, looked at how several mods interpret the issue... What does radial size actually mean? I know that a curved panel of radial size big (2.5 m) is going to fit snugly around a 2.5 m fuselage. But does that mean the RADIUS is 2.5 meters or the DIAMETER? I know KSP size doesn't directly translate to RL size, but taking the Cupola as an example, it fits 2.5 m closest. In that case, it's diameter. But the Saturn V 1st stage had a diameter of 10m, while the KSP version has 5. Am I missing something here or is there just no "canon"?
