About me

  1. Project Pile turns to Galaxy Mod 8 months ago, I set out to create an ambitious project known as Trilogy, to which I became very burnt out creating. As an escape from working on the same thing daily, I created Flamed Out, which became my first released mod. After that I began creating new projects and announcing them near daily. It began to get repetitive. Start a new project, cancel a project. Everything fell through. I took a break for a couple weeks. And in an attempt to streamline, I present to you; KIP Systems. My take on a GU style mod. *EXTREMELY EARLY WORK IN PROGRESS* Now, you may be wondering; Where did the name KIP Systems come from? The original star name for Trilogy was KIP-2995, a kerbalized version of the HIP name classification for stars. This caught on and eventually became what you see today. 2. Hello. This is the page where I will be developing my own form of the Minor Planets Expansion for Outer Planets Mod, whose development was abandoned by Exo's Lab as she went on to find other mods. The old thread can be found here. With her blessing, I will be adding a couple of new worlds to this roster with hand-painted textures, complete biomes, and even science definitions. Here's the list of worlds that can be visited. New worlds are italicized. Edas (like Eros) Vant (like Vesta) Zore (like Psyche) Quazen (like Pallas) Lint-Mikey (like 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko) Geito (like 1P/Halley) Crokslev (like Chariklo) Havous (like Haumea) Kal (ring moonlet) Ki'ki (contact binary a la Kleopatra) Mracksis (like Makemake and/or Quaoar) Flake (in lieu of MK2) Ervo (like Eris) Archae (like Dysnomia) Soden (like Sedna) Lon (like nothing) And here is a gallery of the bodies for your viewing pleasure. The mod can be downloaded here on SpaceDock, and can also be accessed via CKAN. Has MIT licensing. This is version 1.1.1 (1.1.0 had improperly-packed folders). Report any other bugs on GitHub. Changelog for 1.1.0 from 1.0.5 Added Quazen Fixed Vant/Edas/Zore disappearing bug Smoothed out ScaledSpace/PQS transitions Fixed TimeWarpAltitudeLimits General grammar/formatting fixes To fix: Havous, Mracksis, Ervo, and Soden have slow time warp due to moons. Maneuver nodes are also slightly finicky around them. To do: New bodies Better science defs Mod compatibility DMagic Orbital Science PlanetShine ResearchBodies Other planet packs
  3. THE MINOR PLANETS EXPANSION - 1.0.5 This One's for the Little Guys! I have worked on this mod for a few months now. It all started after I failed to find a mod that added analogues to various minor planets that was on par with something like OPM, or at the very least compatible, and the few mods I did find were all outdated. I took it upon myself to make a mod myself that would fill in these missing niches in the Stock+OPM system. Particularly, asteroids, comets, centaurs, and dwarf planets. I wrote down a list of nine objects, and now, four months later, I have now created my first planet pack! All of these new worlds were made from hand-drawn maps, with very little reliance on stealing from real world objects to ensure a stock-alike feel. This mod is made to be used along side OPM, think of it as an unofficial, fan-made expansion pack for OPM. The analogue list: Edas - Eros Vant - Vesta Zore - Psyche Lint/Mikey - 67P Crokslev - Chariklo Geito - Halley's Comet Havous - Haumea Kal - Namaka Ki'KI - Hi'iaka Mracksis - Makemake Flake - MK2 (not really, but it's a moon around a Makemake analogue) Ervo - Eris Archae - Dysnomia Soden - Sedna Lon - No Real-World Analogue Images: SpaceDock Link: https://spacedock.info/mod/2383/Minor Planets Expansion?ga=<Game+3102+'Kerbal+Space+Program'> This mod can also be acquired through CKAN! License - MIT New objects are in the planning phase, but will come after bug fixing/balancing updates. MPE 1.0.5 Update Bug Smashing Episode 1 - Havous and Crokslev's rings no longer flicker - Havous' rings now have twice the vertices and thus are less angular - Archae's InSpaceHigh raised to 20,000 meters above sea level Known bugs: Rings flicker in previous versions (before MPE 1.0.5). Make sure you have the current version- ring flicker could be a serious issue if you have visual epilepsy! The moons Kal and Ki'Ki seem to have some physics issues in local space for some people. MPE has not been tested on Kopernicus Continued for 1.9.1
  4. Klaniakea Supercluster A wacky mod unfitting of the time and setting of the original intent. Coming sometime. Dunno when. The Overview: Klaniakea Supercluster is a mod similar to that of Galaxies Unbound, adding multiple stellar bodies and planets for you to explore. Originally planned to fit the time and setting and lore of Homeworld, creative freedoms have taken over really and it's just a wacky-enjoy itself mod. This mod is currently in early development, and I will take suggestions/feedback. Compatibility (Not so important yet, mod isn't out yet.) Incompatibility Screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/HYZcvaK (Check back occasionally, I will be updating this! Also also, stuff is heavy WIP so it might not be great as of now, please be nice lol) Credits/Thanks @Caps Lock Sunflare used, sorry for the 2nd ping lol @Bendy Snowball Inspiration/Ideas for planets, and just being cool overall The Kopernicus Discord Server - Being a great help to me. 5. Edge of Eternity The stars have come and gone, but eternity has only just begun Trillions of years ago, the ICS Mercury departed to set up the first extrasolar colony. As it was en route, it encountered a temporal wormhole, into which it was pulled, hurling it both into the far future and untold distances away. In order to avoid the unstable wormhole's imminent collapse, the crew had no choice but to press forward on a journey far longer than the Mercury was ever meant to travel. Over the decades, more and more of the ship had to be cannibalized until they finally reached their destination: a binary system consisting of a red dwarf and a blue dwarf, hosting several planets including one that could possibly sustain them. Unfortunately, due to the ship's state of disrepair, the landing was hard and much was lost, sending them back to the pre-industrial age. While Haven was habitable, it was only barely so: UV radiation was abundant, it had no native life, the oxygen content was only 60% of Kerbin normal despite the denser atmosphere, and the temperature was low enough that major settlements were restricted to near the equator. Despite this, over time, they managed to regain their technology, and are now ready to look upwards to the unending abyss once again. Edge of Eternity is a WIP planet pack set near the end of the stelliferous era of the universe. Most stars are dead, and those that remain are low-mass red dwarfs (and the blue dwarfs they evolve into); Terminus is one of these blue dwarfs. The system favors flyby missions and probes due to the positioning of Haven in the system, and science is balanced against roughly 30% of stock for most worlds besides Haven (with a boost around Eterna and particularly Apep to respect the minimum tech requirements of getting science from there) At its current state of development it is highly WIP, with many worlds having only placeholder noise-based textures and no custom biomes, and there are doubtless a good few more bugs than you'd see in a completed planet pack. Everything, particularly balance-related things, is subject to change Beta download for those still interested: On Github Requires Kopernicus and Kopernicus Expansion (Regional PQS specifically) Uses Sigma Replacements - Skybox for the starless void of the end-times (really rather immersion-breaking without it), and Custom Barn Kit to rebalance the DSN (including adding a fourth level) for a better antenna range progression (note: due to issues with how CBK handles configs, disabling the rebalance through the settings.cfg won't disable the CBK configs). Kronometer is also recommended for synching the clocks to Haven's day and year, as is Transfer Window Planner for planning transfer windows (some can be rather unusual) Built-in option to increase scale to 2.56x or 10x (no need for Sigma Dimensions). Atmospheres of planets from other mods currently will not get rescaled. Also contains CRP and SpaceDust resource placement definitions (including resourcs used by Rational Resources), Kerbalism configs, PlanetShine configs, Scatterer compatibility (note: requires v0.0770 or newer), and EVE clouds/aurorae/lava glows. Tested Principia-stable to at least 7000 years (computer gave up before any signs of instability). Credit for the artwork in the loading screen image featuring Zephyr goes to @Exo's Lab Diagrams and dV map: Future plans: long term (at some point before release) - science definitions, proper maps and biomes for all remaining planets, higher quality maps for all planets, kspedia, terrain scatters, more thorough balance testing, whatever other miscellany I discover I'll need to add post-release - (might remain a side project to my next system replacer, depends on reception) EoE: Phoenix Cluster, an addon with a few extrasolar destinations to visit since many other extrasolar packs don't fit thematically. (not very likely but maybe) Prelude to Eternity, set when the system was half its current age and Terminus was main sequence, homeworld of Revenant.
  6. This mod adds 100 celestial bodies in a cluster orbiting far from the Sun while preserving the stock system. Designed for modded late game exploration, colonisation and other wackiness. Ever since the Kerbalkind learned how to properly look at the night sky, a bright blue light accompanied by a few flickering spots among the stars had always intrigued them. Throughout history, this realm in the deep sky has been associated with mythologies, the Kraken, the multiverse and snacks. As time passed, they realise that the greatest treasure the universe have to offer is right in their backyard - a neighboring cluster centered around a blue star with multiple yellow and red dwarfs guarding the outer reaches of the system. The more they looked, the more astonishing this system becomes: habitable worlds appeared one by one, documentations of ring systems became more and more detailed, the resolutions of images got higher and higher, and even a brand new protostar had been found. However, questions and mysteries started to pop up among the excitement: an abnormally high amount of friendly worlds near the quaternary red dwarf system, an unyielding planetary nebula around a main sequence star, the capture of some allegedly artificial signals, and an exotic stellar remnant with unknown composition. Nevertheless, this cluster remained silent but inviting, and space programs all over Kerbin began missions toward the stars. After countless missions to Jool, the spirit of the Kerbalkind was ignited once again to venture into The World Beyond, and this system is aptly named The Dawn Cluster. One day, all the boundaries will fall. Star map TWB does not replace the stock system and no changes has been made to it. Star emblems Inner Dawn System Dawn - An A3V class blue star, the center of the cluster that every planet and star orbits. It is quite a lot more massive and a lot brighter than Kerbol. The space near it harbors a large amount of planets. Oblivion System Oblivion - A new protostar orbiting Dawn from a distance with a big accretion disk (which is basically a colossal ring system) and plenty of asteroids. Despite it's unstable system, a few planets have already formed around it. Traverse System Traverse - A M1V orangish red dwarf shrouded by a immense nebula, it orbits roughly in the middle point of Dawn's SOI and holds up a Quadruple system with an very large amount of densely packed habitable worlds. Fragment - A very small M9V red dwarf orbiting Traverse in close binary. Due to it's size it has little effect on the overall structure of the system. Ascension System Ascension - A small M5V red dwarf orbiting Traverse from afar, shining a second dim light onto Traverse’s worlds, and also hosts some planets itself. Eternal - A tiny M8V red dwarf orbiting Ascension in binary Wall System Wall - A dim T4 class brown dwarf with only one companion. Eon System Eon - An outlying G7V yellow dwarf near the edge of the SOI of Dawn Barrier - VERY FAST spinning exotic stellar remnant orbiting Eon, and one of the most mysterious objects within the vicinity of Dawn. THE WORLD BEYOND IS CURRENTLY NOT READY FOR REVIEW AS MANY ASPECTS ARE STILL BEING DEVELOPED/REFINED. PLEASE DO NOT REVIEW THIS MOD UNTIL THIS NOTICE IS REMOVED. CC 4.0 BY-NC-SA INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS SUPPORTED MODS The Gold Standard: TWB provides configs for the resources added in TheGoldStandard, so you can mine gold and unobtainium far from home! Community Tech Tree: installing CTT will reposition the antennas on the expanded tech tree. Community Resource Pack: TWB provides configs for ALL the resources added in CRP, so you can harvest them deep in the sky for fun and profit. Sigma LoadingScreens: shows custom loading screen images and loading screen tips if installed. Texture Replacer: you can take off your helmet and breathe in any alien world with a dense oxygen atmosphere. RECOMMENDED MODS Near future technologies: provides a large assortment of parts for your spacecrafts. USI Catalog: Orion drives and warp drives to help you travel between the stars. Poodmund's Milky Way Skybox: extremely nice looking skybox that is used in all the screenshots shown above. Interstellar Extended: for those of you who want to cover interstellar distances in a realistic way. BetterTimeWarp: to make your interstellar journeys feel slightly faster and far more bearable. ESLD Jump Beacons: an alternative method to travel between the stars. COMPATIBILITY TWB is compatible with the following planet packs: Gameslinx's Planet Overhaul (GPO) Outer Planets Mod (OPM) Galileo's Planet Pack (GPP) Grannus Expansion Pack (GEP) Extrasolar* Other_Worlds Reboot (OWR) New Horizons Before Kerbin After Kerbin Whirligig World TWB is NOT meant to played with Principia, but you can install both and see what happens *Extrasolar is known to break the scatterer sunflares in TWB. Check page 9 in this thread for a workaround. KNOWN ISSUES The resource configs in this mod could make the stock KerbNet unusable (crafts that should have KerbNet access don't). This is a problem with KSP itself, and the best solution is to use the mod SCANSat and Waypoint Manager instead, both of which provides better functionality compared to the KerbNet. 7. Welcome to the development thread for the Precursors Planet Pack! Mod Overview The discovery of mysterious SSTV signals originating from Duna was a monumental leap in the search for intelligent life. Deciphering the signals revealed The Ignotum System, a previously undiscovered solar system 3 light years from Kerbin. Having recently mastered interstellar travel and hibernation technologies, the Kerbals were quick to launch an expedition to this new system. The trip ran smoothly, but upon arrival.... ... Alone among the stars, you are the future of the expedition. Rediscover ancient rocketry and flight technologies as you explore a vast, handcrafted solar system. Uncover the secrets behind the SSTV signals and the alien race that created them. Precursors is a planet pack designed to provide a fresh and exciting experience to players. Stranded on a barren but habitable world, traverse highly detailed celestial bodies and never-before-seen environments. Each planet and moon has a distinct challenge and appearance; hike across scalding volcanic mountains, maneuver through massive forests, and battle against relentless gravity on your journey across The Ignotum System. Collect custom science reports and unearth extensive lore in this continuation of the KSP story. Dependencies This mod is compatible with KSP 1.9.x-1.11x and maybe 1.12.x (to be confirmed). Precursors uses Scatterer to enhance the player experience. While Scatterer is not necessary, I highly recommend you download it for the full experience. Updates I will frequently discuss new content and post in-game screenshots of my progress. Most of these screenshots are taken from orbit and shouldn't be huge spoilers. Mod plan (SPOILERS) Screenshots (SPOILERS) RELEASE DATE: late August / early September Please note that this mod is currently being overhauled. See page 2+ and the spoiler box for up-to-date screenshots!
  8. Oh hai. This is a basic planet pack so far that adds a Near-Kerbin binary asteroid, Onor-Yuppo. They're basically asteroids that orbit near Kerbin, but Kerbin is on its way to catch up to them somehow. They're potentially hazardous, especially if Principia were to get involved. Onor's about 10 km big and has a giant red X on it. Yuppo is only 2 km big and is small enough to probably be deorbited with enough thrusting power. And so far, that's about it. I'll make more, but so far this is my first planet pack. Hopefully it will be better soon. Requirements: Kopernicus ModuleManager A good computer Known bugs: Onor PQS is incomplete After leaving Onor's SOI and time-warping, planets go off-rails To do: Add Pallas-Psyche-Vesta analog rich in metals Add science definitions and biome maps D-Magic and Distant Object Enhancement compatibility Fix those little dunce hats on Onor and Yuppo's height maps If you want to help alpha-test this, the link is here: Google Drive.
  9. Overview After over 2 years of improving and learning, hopefully it is worth the wait to those who watched along the way. I started this project as an innocent curiosity, then a personal project that meant something to me. I wanted to set this one apart from the majority of planet mods. I wanted this to be good; as good as I could make it, and did the best I could with my lil' Macbook; with TextEdit and GIMP. I’ll see to even better as updates come. I hope you all enjoy what I have to share! This pack adds a whole new high-quality star system, Polaris, for you to explore, situated directly above the home system at 4.3 kerbal light years! The system is based on Polaris, but also has inspiration from WASP-12, Mu Arae, and our own Sol. It primarily adds giant planets and their satellites, with more to come in the future. The objects feature various scatters on their surfaces, so they’re not so barren! No pre-1.8 terrain shader either. For those with lower end computers, don’t worry! You won’t need visual mods to see wonderful worlds. I’ve designed it partly with no visuals in mind, but it’ll look even better with them! If Kopernicus Expansion is installed, wormholes will appear that can take you to and fro! SCIENCE NOTE: This is not a fully realistic recreation of the real Polaris System. The real system is quite young, has no detected planets so far, and the outermost star is an F-type, not an Alpha Centauri A analogue. Sorry Star Trek fans! This isn’t a Trek-themed pack. Celestial body list Delta-V map courtesy of @WarriorSabe! Gallery Thanks to @Clonosand @ballisticfox0for taking these wonderful pictures! Required mods --Being a mod that adds celestial bodies, it requires Kopernicus and its own prerequisites. Recommended/Optional mods --Arthur's TiltUnlocker will make Gyro sit on its side! Beware: You may run into some bugs with this. One such is its misbehavior with scatterer. --If you want to take a way of getting there that's less of a hassle, try wormholes with Kopernicus Expansion Continued-er! So far I have the stock system (and by extension JNSQ), Beyond Home, Whirligig World, GPP, Alternis Kerbol Rekerjiggered, and GEP primary. --If you want to get there the old fashioned way, I recommend Blueshift, KSPIE, or Far Future Technologies with Calvin's buffed ISP patch. Oh, and Better Timewarp for your convenience. --If you want a nice home that meshes well with this system, try Beyond Home. If you want to give the lone Polaris system some friends, you cannot go wrong with Extrasolar and Galaxies Unbound. Regarding errors If you encounter a problem, provide a snapshot of your GameData and your logs. I can't help you if I don't know what is wrong! See this thread on how: Mod Support —EVE —Scatterer —Most planet mods. Being a mod that adds a whole separate star system, it does not intrude upon any system replacers, system accessories, or other system adders. Download Github Spacedock Being a first mod and first release of said mod, there might be issues. So just report them and bear with me. FAQ -Is there a way to make the system closer? Yes! There is an optional patch I've included to make the distance 10 times closer than normal -I switched back to the KSC and everything looks all glitchy! What can I do!? The KSC will appear all wonky and glitchy if you switch back to it from a long distance. A simple scene change, like going into the VAB and then back, will fix it! -Is this a system replacer? What's the homeworld? This is not a system replacer, but instead a system adder. There are rough plans for a homeswitch in the distant future. 10. This mod turns the Kerbol system into a more realistic representation of the Real Solar System. Moho has a new texture, Gilly is moved, and there are more outer planets? Also it's all inclined? That's just part of this mod. Download license = CC-BY-SA
  11. So... Almost two years ago @Artyomka15 created a wonderful mod. Kolyphemus System is a analogue of the Polyphemus System from movie Avatar. So, it's time to back a legend*! *ORIGINAL THREAD: THE KOLYPHEMUS SYSTEM Mod adds the kerbalized version of Polyphemus and its moons from the movie Avatar Kolyphemus - a blue gas giant with oxygen atmosphere that orbits between Kerbin and Eve (what??) Kalatea - that weird moon is often called "The Space Cheese" due to it's strange shape... Moei - do you love hot chics? 12. Technology has brought the kerbals far, but has not brought them a new home. Instead, it has destroyed their home, and forced all kerbals to move onto a singular habitation ring. After thoroughly looking through old data, they reluctantly chose Dominion, a dead planet in a dead star system, to be their new settlement. Upon landing it was immediately noted that the atmospheric oxygen levels were perfect for Kerbal life. Dominion reached a population higher than Kerbin's and every previous colony combined. It was a golden age for kerbals, but all good things must come to an end, and unfortunately death is a repeating trend in this strange system. What is Trilogy? 13. Description This mod adds one small gas giant, the titular planet Helvica, and its moons to the space between the orbits of Duna and Dres. While it may not be as far from Kerbin as Jool or gas giants added by other mods, Helvica does have one trick up its sleeve: It orbits in a retrograde direction. Because of this, you will have to carefully plan your trip in order to get an encounter. It has a few other features as well, including large rings, three moons, one submoon, PlanetShine and DistantObjectEnhancement support, and multiple science biomes for each body. As for compatibility with other planet packs, as long as you don't use mods that add planets between the orbits of Duna and Dres, or that entirely replace the existing stock system (Beyond Home, Galileo's Planet Pack, etc.), you should be good to go. Note: Helvica is my first planet mod, and it is very much a work in progress. Do not expect to find zero bugs. Updates may or may not arrive periodically. Installation Instructions Recommended: Install using CKAN. CKAN will detect compatibility issues and install any missing dependencies if needed. Manual: 1. Download and install the dependencies if you don't already have them. 2. Extract the contents of Helvica_(vX.X).zip\GameData to your KSP GameData folder. 3. Enjoy! Download from SpaceDock Dependencies Kopernicus Stable Branch (1.12), OR Kopernicus Bleeding Edge (1.10.x - 1.11.x) Supported Mods PlanetShine DistantObjectEnhancement Q & A Q. Is Helvica compatible with other planet mods? A. Yes, as long as they do not replace the existing stock system, and do not add a planet between the orbits of Duna and Dres. Q. Is Helvica compatible with Principia? A. Helvica is not compatible with Principia. Q. Is Helvica compatible with Rescale or Sigma Dimensions? A. There is currently no support for Rescale or Sigma Dimensions. Q. Where do I report bugs? A. You can either reply to this forum post, or send me a public or private message on my forum profile. Please remember to do a proper bug report. I will try to find a fix during my free time. If the bug is caused by a separate mod with no stated compatibility, I may not be able to fix it. Q. Why does it orbit the wrong way? How do I get to it? A. One of Helvica's primary features is that it is in a retrograde orbit, unlike most other planets. This is intentional. You can either spend enough Δv (delta-v) to put yourself in a retrograde orbit around the Sun, or if you like taking risks, try to get an encounter with Helvica as it is coming towards Kerbin and either aerobrake or use gravity assists (very difficult). You can also use a combination of gravity assists and engine power to easily invert your orbit once you have a very high Sun apoapsis, which has the upside of requiring less delta-v, and the downside of taking many months. Q. Can I make suggestions? A. Of course! Feedback and suggestions are very welcome. I need all the help I can get. I might not take suggestions that ask to add X moon, although I will consider it if it is a good idea. Helvica System Blue = Complete Green = Released Red = Unreleased Changelog Known Issues Ruse may have strange terrain, particularly around its poles. Borders between biomes may not be well-defined on certain moons. Large file size due to the use of .png textures for Neus Nadavo. 14. I got inspired by a few things. Gameslinx, a bucket of rocks, and TWG's Arkas development. I've thus decided that I would like to learn and experiment with Kopernicus every day (i can) for 365 days, starting August 11th, 2021. My goal is simple. Make a planet pack that's enjoyable and way over the top, that's compatible with some other big names, *cough cough* OPM *cough cough* and overall just a fun learning experience. For the first few days before the challenge begins, I'm going to try to expand my small brain to fit the universe of Kopernicus inside of it and teach myself the basics so I can make something neat. Any help would be appreciated. Day One; My Birthday: I kicked off this self-proclaimed-challenge with a bang, (or maybe a boom?) Huge thanks to TheWhiteGuardian for helping me along thusfar, I probably bore him to death. After over two hours, plenty of help, and trying to figure out how to convert files from .txt to .cfg, I successfully Created DAWN! the center of my new system. Until I get a home planet made, Dawn will be orbiting Kerbol at a really safe distance (so I don't have to look at it unless I want to) I also started work on a small planet named Prova. Day Two: Today was very busy, with school and some exercise. I had very little time to work on anything today. I started on a gas giant (~7x Jool's size) that will be white with gold accents running through it (and maybe a thin, highly inclined ring from a munar collision) I'm only about halfway done with the config file of it. Maybe I can finish it tomorrow.
  15. About Real Exoplanets Real Exoplanets (REX) is planet pack that adds several confirmed exoplanets into KSP. As the name implies, all of these exoplanets are real, and all of the planetary systems are located exactly where they are in real life. All of the planets have accurate characteristics and the visual appearance of all exoplanets are based off of our current understanding of planetary science (as well as some artistic license when necessary ). Real Exoplanets is compatible with both Real Solar System and the stock, default solar system. With RSS, REX is properly scaled by a factor of 10. 16. CORELIAN - 1.0.5 RELEASE A new home for Dres The system: This mod adds a new ringed gas giant, the eponymous Corelian, to the Kerbal system. It sits right where Dres used to, though with less inclination and eccentricity to make it less inconvenient to travel to. The worlds: Corelian: A pink, ringed gas giant a bit smaller than Jool. 4700km in radius with a gravity of 0.84g; 64% the mass of Jool Thale: a dense, lumpy, Pol-sized body with a fast rotation rate and a close, somewhat irregular orbit. Baseline radius of 52km, with some areas nearly 30km above that. Baseline gravity of 0.113g, though near the highest points on the equator the apparent gravity can be as low as 0.012g due to a combination of elevation and spin rate Pras: a rocky, barren world between Duna and Laythe in size. It has a relatively thin but oxygenated atmosphere, at datum it's 26% of Kerbin's sea level pressure and only 173 kelvins (-100 degrees celsius) in temperature. Radius of 391km, gravity of 0.37g Atraxi: a rocky, Mun-sized world with a relatively high density and large canyons on its surface. Radius of 213km, gravity of 0.246g Dres: the same Dres as before, just now orbiting Corelian with its same eccentricity and inclination. Rotated so that Corelian is visible from the Dres Canyon The mod: Requires Kopernicus Continued. For 1.8.1, instead use the original Kopernicus, and set useAtraxiScatters to false in the settings config. There are no other dependencies apart from those of Kopernicus/Kopernicus Continued, but several mods are supported: Resource configs for Community Resource Pack and Rational Resources Radiation, resource configs, and science reports for Kerbalism Scatterer atmospheres Science reports for SCANSat, SSPXr, and DMagic Orbital Science Configs for Planetshine and Distant Object Enhancement Jool re-patch and tested stability for Principia And a reparenting for if you decide to use this with Beyond Home despite the clashing styles Download: From Spacedock (yes, this mod has actually been around for a while. I just now decided to take a break from developing my next, much bigger mod to give it a touch-up and proper release) From Github Screenshots:

  18. I've always wanted another gas giant for the Kerbin System, and after playing with OPM a lot, I decided to try it myself. After all, it's not rocket science, it's astronomy! I mainly made this because, recently, after I started getting interested into modding, I decided to make a planet pack, or at least try to. So, I'll be documenting my efforts here. Disclaimer: Valor is currently very WIP. It's not finished, and there will obviously be problems. Here's the current plan for the system (Ones with check marks are in-game already): √ Valor - Blue Gas Giant Blue Has Oxygenated Atmosphere Milo Orbits extremely close to Valor Should have a great view Mun-like √ Theta - Desert Moon High Ore Concentration Oxygenated Atmosphere Bonx - Rocky Moon Very High Ore Concentration Signature Black Stripes on it's surface (May or may not be related to Ore Concentration ) Binx - Tiny Moon in a near-polar orbit Gilly-like moon May be a captured asteroid/comet, we'll see Kipper Huge, reddish moon (bigger than Tylo!) 5 gees of gravity at sea level More ore concentration than Bonx! Has a set of rings, formed when it's own gravity ripped it's moonlet apart √ Orton An ocean moon that got frozen over Got ejected out of its orbit by a catastrophic event, once orbited between Kerbin and Eve Very very thin remnants of it's original atmosphere still exist To-Do List: Finish adding all the moons Add biomes Add Terrain Scatter Add EVE support Add Scatterer support Add PlanetShine support Add Kopernicus Expansion Footprints support Changelog: v0.3 - Added Orton v0.2 - Added Theta - Tilted Valor's rings by 10 degrees - Changed the internal folder structure slightly v0.1 - Initial release, added Valor. No Pics, No Clicks? Here ya go! Download: Spacedock Dependencies: Kopernicus Continued License: Valor is licensed under GPLv3 Installation Instructions: Just drag the contents of the GameData folder into your GameData folder. Q&A: Q: Is Valor compatible with OPM? A: No, as Valor's orbit is very similar to Sarnus's. However, if you get more hands-on, Valor makes a pretty good Planet 9 Analog Q: Is Valor compatible with MPE? A: Yes! Minor Planet Expansion is compatible and recommended! Q: Is Valor compatible with (Insert Planet Pack Here that's not listed above) A: I don't know. Test it out yourself! Q: I can't find this mod on CKAN! A: Valor is listed on CKAN as Valor Planet Pack. If you can't find it, you can always download from the spacedock link above. Q: How can I help? A: Anything is appreciated! Q: Is there a Discord/Chatroom for VPP? A: As of now, all VPP discussion resides at: https://discord.gg/NBjTwyhZsQ Q: Can we stop with the questions now? A: Um.... sure, I guess. Any comments, screenshots, contributions, and criticism is always accepted and appreciated! If you think something should be different, please tell me! Special Thanks to: @R-T-B , who helped me solve a bug with this mod, @DunaManiac, who graciously provided the texture of Orton, and also provided guidance, @Commodore_32, for providing feedback and screenshots. Thank you all very much!

  20. What is this? The sequel to the planet pack Low light levels Red. The pack adds in two binary stars and 11 planets and moons. Bodies: Rubo: A white dwarf that was once a mighty star like Kerbol. Loth: A fiery world with oceans of lava that are slowly cooling in the dim light of Rubo. Ufgo: A tidal locked desert with old dried up oceans and ice on the farside. Crof: A small world even more forgotten than Dres. It has a cratered cold surface. Giza: The biggest gas giant in the system, but still small. Most of its mass got lost in the past. Micry: The only moon still orbiting Giza. It has a cratered dead surface. Zec: A gas giant with strong winds and two very clear bands. Thesi: First moon of Zec, it has a thick atmosphere and small oceans of liquid methane. Pece: An extraordinary asteroid, it is in a binary dance with its partner Poco. Poco: The other asteroid roughly the same as Pece, also orbiting the barycenter. Wilco: One of the most mighty objects in the universe, with the size of the KSC and the name of a scientist his dog. Ria: A cold icy world with a beautiful view of Wilco. Qen: A small asteroid orbiting at big distance from Wilco. The series -3LB - You are looking at it right now... -3LR - The other part of this series which adds 2 brown dwarfs. -B2L - A pack that adds in two blindingly bright stars. 21. Salus: A J1407b Analogue [1.11] What does this mod add? Salus: A large gas giant out past Jool with the largest rings Kerbals have ever seen. It is thought that a close encounter with a rogue planet gave its orbit its inclination, as well as its current ring system. Visit soon, they're not expected to last for much longer. They've already begun collapsing into moons. Dauble: An icy world harboring a subsurface ocean, with plumes spraying out world-wide. Dauble is nested inside Salus's rings, providing quite the skyline. Dulus: A small moon orbiting rather close to Dauble. This flattened moon is collecting material from Salus's rings across its equator forming a massive equatorial ridge. Don't slip! Duran: A captured asteroid that orbits far from Salus, well past its rings. It's inclined orbit gives the best possible view of Salus. Be sure to bring your camera! 23. As you know, KSP 2 is coming with a host of new planets and moons to explore. I think it would be cool to have a planet pack for KSP 1 with KSP 2 celestial bodies. The planets and moons in the pack obviously wouldn't be exact replicas, and proper credit would be given to Private Division and Take Two. Aside from super realistic terrain and volumetric rings, making KSP 2 planets in KSP 1 is entirely feasible (Rask and Rusk can orbit a barycenter). Any thoughts?
  24. What is this? The final part of my Light Levels (LL/2L) series It adds in two stars with a handful of planets and moons ready to be explored I also added wormholes for the people who don't want to use interstellar drives ^ you can also remove them easily if you don't want to play with them Bodies: Rigos: A hot and bright A type star, its twice the size of Kerbol and has a decently sized system. Ben: The innermost planet of Rigos, no REALLY innermost. It orbits so close that its shape got distorted. Teros: A really hot and bright Eve like planet, its atmosphere is so thick that almost all engines don't work. (Tip, use propellors) Gert: The only moon of Teros. Its surface has a nice cratered brown color. Termina: A type II gas giant with water clouds, making the planet very white and bright. Erto: Erto is a small cratered minmus sized rock with a grey color. Tempora: Probably the best place for an interstellar colony. It's very similar to Kerbin, but a bit more dry with vast deserts. Gosa: A mega Kerbin disguised as a gas giant. Probably the most Aqua colored planet ever to be found. Lilk: A cracked Icy inner moon of Gosa. Mago: Cold, covered with craters, a thin atmosphere and some interesting cryovolcanoes. Pjotter: The outermost planet of the Rigos system. Visit him now to make him less lonely! Rouger: A gigantic star, If it were placed in the Kerbolar system, it would just fit in the orbit of Jool! Col: A hot selena getting roasted by this ginormous star. Ufer: Very similar to Tylo, but a tad bit bigger. Qualia: A boiling wet moon of Ufer covered in endless oceans. Spol: The perfect place to insta freeze your ice creams in the nitrogen lakes. Rol: It has had a recent asteroid bombardment covering it in craters. Wol: A weird icy moon between the size of Minmus and the Mun and a bit bigger than its counterpart of Rol The series -B2L - you are looking at it right now -3LR - The other part of this series which adds 2 brown dwarfs. -3LB - A pack with a binary white dwarf and magnetar neutron star, and a whole lot of planets to explore Kottabos Review Download Github: https://github.com/RJVB09/Blinding-Light-Levels/releases (secondary) Spacedock: https://spacedock.info/mod/2395/Blinding Light Levels Dependencies Kopernicus: (optional) Kopernicus Expansion (Wormholes): (Already combined with download) (optional) EVE: https://github.com/WazWaz/EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements/releases (optional) scatterer: https://spacedock.info/mod/141/scatterer Screenshots Imgur Album: https://imgur.com/a/uhveiKZ Contact For development updates join my discord server! https://discord.gg/gHGupT8 Please report bugs here: https://github.com/RJVB09/Blinding-Light-Levels/issues License https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/
