  1. Hello everyone! The KSP Forums have a wealth of great resources for how to develop your own planet pack. But despite these resources, planet making can still be a very confusing process. This page is for people who are new to or curious about Kopernicus and planet-making in KSP. Anyone can contribute questions regarding the subject matter, and other developers are welcome to help answer those questions. Before posting a question here, I highly recommend you check out the following page: I will try to help whenever I can. I might not know the answers to some things: I have been dev
  2. Howdy. hey yeah, if any of yall wanna... playtest my soon-to-be fully released mod... :flushed: now you can! If you want to... that is. :flushed: (my other planet pack was bad, i think i owe something decent for that existing) Alright enough with the cringe SUPPORT: EVE AND SCATTERER Planned support: SIGMA REPLACEMENTS: SKYBOX PLANETARY GUIDE (spoilers!!! :face-vomiting:) DOWNLOAD:https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/10yJD7_1iwvTE6RTlB46CvBSJ05tZlM9y?usp=sharing (SCATTERER NOW MERGED IN DOWNLOAD) No Bounds is not compatible with any visual mods other than the ones pro
  3. The Vulture System The Vulture Star is a main sequence star similar but more massive to Kerbol. It holds 6 planets, all with individual backstories. The Vulture System is my first ever full Kerbal Space Program project, taking about a month to complete. Github Repo Donate Bodies The Vulture System has 6 planets and 13 moons, making for a total of 19 celestial bodies in total. Features 19 detailed bodies with their own individual stories and high amounts of care put into creation. Two gas giants with detailed moons. Hints toward life and the previous existenc
  4. About This is a small planet pack I've lately put all of my effort in, the main goal was to make it as good as possible. It adds a super weapon near Dres named "Dreskiller base" as the weapon threatens to destroy Dres. In case you didn't know, this was inspired by the Starkiller base from Star Wars. I hope you like it The time has come, it's time to get rid of this rock called Dres, Wait what is Dres? Anyways, this snowy superweapon is a whole new place to explore! 6. Well, i guess we're stuck here now. What was supposed to be a mission to a star 100 lightyears from kerbin took the crew 5000 lightyears from home. Now, 25000 years into the future, stranded in deep space, they find a barely habitable world, which they now call home. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The difficulty early game isn't high but even though the planets are stock size the distances inbetween are larger. -------------------------------------------------
  7. FINAL DAWN CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 Final Dawn is the second and best mod I've published so far. The universe has met it's end, but life keeps struggling: as do the kerbals. As two of the blackest stars collided, heat was released and a system was born. Eager to finally have a place to live again, a desert world was terraformed in the greatest mission to terraform yet. All that's left to do, is to rediscover ancient technology, and to rediscover a system forgotten. Final Dawn, being set around a white dwarf, is very hard relative to other planet packs. Approach with cauti
  8. Kerbal Mythology I've always thought about how the Kerbals see deities and other religious/mythological figures, and there isn't really much to go by in the game other than Moho and Bop. I took it upon myself to make a chart of mythological figures that I think the Kerbals may have worshipped. (In a way, this is a continuation of this forum thread). This is by no means a "standard" for Kerbal mythology, as I don't really expect most people to care too much about it anyway, meaning that these names and definitions are open. However, I did think it would be cool to share my idea
  9. Description This mod adds one small gas giant, the titular planet Helvica, and its moons to the space between the orbits of Duna and Dres. While it may not be as far from Kerbin as Jool or gas giants added by other mods, Helvica does have one trick up its sleeve: It orbits in a retrograde direction. Because of this, you will have to carefully plan your trip in order to get an encounter. It has a few other features as well, including large rings, three moons, one submoon, PlanetShine and DistantObjectEnhancement support, and multiple science biomes for each body. As for compatibility with
  10. Hello Everyone! R3dst0ne_ here. I just set up an account because I have a dream to make a planet pack. There's one thing stopping this: None of the tutorials are up to date. And while there's probably a deep web kopernicus guide that is, the ones that aren't sketchy are all YEARS old. Aand... I'm too lazy to look for them. Which is why I came here in the first place. But despite my pointless babbling, I'm posting here to try and make a planet pack. and a halfway decent one at that. My idea is rather complicated, too. the name will be "Dawn." Dawn wil
  11. Edge of Eternity The stars have come and gone, but eternity has only just begun Trillions of years ago, the ICS Mercury departed to set up the first extrasolar colony. As it was en route, it encountered a temporal wormhole, into which it was pulled, hurling it both into the far future and untold distances away. In order to avoid the unstable wormhole's imminent collapse, the crew had no choice but to press forward on a journey far longer than the Mercury was ever meant to travel. Over the decades, more and more of the ship had to be cannibalized until they finally reached their des
  12. I've always wanted another gas giant for the Kerbin System, and after playing with OPM a lot, I decided to try it myself. After all, it's not rocket science, it's astronomy! I mainly made this because, recently, after I started getting interested into modding, I decided to make a planet pack, or at least try to. So, I'll be documenting my efforts here. Disclaimer: Valor is currently very WIP. It's not finished, and there will obviously be problems. Here's the current plan for the system (Ones with check marks are in-game already): √ Valor - Blue Gas Giant
  13. CORELIAN - 1.0.5 RELEASE A new home for Dres The system: This mod adds a new ringed gas giant, the eponymous Corelian, to the Kerbal system. It sits right where Dres used to, though with less inclination and eccentricity to make it less inconvenient to travel to. The worlds: Corelian: A pink, ringed gas giant a bit smaller than Jool. 4700km in radius with a gravity of 0.84g; 64% the mass of Jool Thale: a dense, lumpy, Pol-sized body with a fast rotation rate and a close, somewhat irregular orbit. Baseline radius of 52km, with some areas nearly 30km above that. Baseline
  14. THE REACH: INTERSTELLAR Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License The Reach Interstellar is an interstellar based planet pack for more advanced players. The system sits at about two kerbal light years distance. The mod is meant to be compatible with several system replacer mods, and with any mod in the Interstellar Consortium. The system in question features 16 landable objects, and a red dwarf binary in the centre. Original mod: https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/193279-181-the-reach-planet-pack/&tab=comments#comment-3773652
  15. Hello everyone! This is the new thread for my *HEAVILY* WIP Kopernicus mod: You're Hot 'N You're Cold This mod, as of this edit, has been COMPLETELY restructured. YHNYC aims to add in new and unique worlds to challenge your spaceflight technologies, reaching absurdly close AND far distances from Kerbol. There will not be an absurd amount of objects as originally planned, only a few overall. Object Concept List Below: ALERT! CRUDDY CONCEPT ART BELOW THIS LINE. --------------
  16. This planet pack is an attempt to create a Planet 9 analog for Kerbal Space Program. FAQ: What does this mod contain? This mod contains one Gas Giant, 3 moons, and one moonlet. How Do I install it? 1. Make sure you've downloaded all this mod's dependencies, (Below) and put them into GameData. 2. Download the .zip file from SpaceDock 3. Drop the folder Planetxpack, NOT HytharaPlanetPack v0.0 into GameData. The correct installation should be: Kerbal Space Program/GameData/PlanetXpack 4. ?????? 5. PROFIT! What does this mod Currently have? T
  17. What is this? The final part of my Light Levels (LL/2L) series It adds in two stars with a handful of planets and moons ready to be explored I also added wormholes for the people who don't want to use interstellar drives ^ you can also remove them easily if you don't want to play with them Bodies: Rigos: A hot and bright A type star, its twice the size of Kerbol and has a decently sized system. Ben: The innermost planet of Rigos, no REALLY innermost. It orbits so close that its shape got distorted. Teros: A really hot and bright Eve like planet, its atmosp
  18. This is Kerman's Nighmare, a continuation of Toshnika Star System. This planet pack offers two additional solar systems, Axiom, a brown dwarf with a singular planet, and Jebediah's Star, a yellow star with three planets, orbited by three moons. 19. This really needs a better name. This mod is still a work in progress, this version is being released mainly for feedback. Anyway, this is a simple exoplanet mod, working in much the same way as Extrasolar, with a star orbiting Kerbol at great distance, making for reasonable computer resource usage, and a balanced and believable (to kerbal scale at least) distance. As a planet pack, this requires Kopernicus to work. Bodies: There are some known issues, such as the fact that terrain looks wrong from orbit. This is because I didn't add proper texturing for the sca
  20. THE MINOR PLANETS EXPANSION - 1.0.5 This One's for the Little Guys! I have worked on this mod for a few months now. It all started after I failed to find a mod that added analogues to various minor planets that was on par with something like OPM, or at the very least compatible, and the few mods I did find were all outdated. I took it upon myself to make a mod myself that would fill in these missing niches in the Stock+OPM system. Particularly, asteroids, comets, centaurs, and dwarf planets. I wrote down a list of nine objects, and now, four months later, I have now created my first planet p
  21. Dres Moons Mod (1.8.1) What Does this Mod Add? The Dres Moons Mod adds two moons to Dres. Pacito: A small, reddish brown moon that orbits near Dres. It is thought to contain a small amount of iron. Ceric: A small, bluish snowball with a bright orange crater and a very faint ring. Quite the curious world indeed, especially since it (like Eeloo) has no surface scatter. 22. What is this? The sequel to the planet pack Low light levels Red. The pack adds in two binary stars and 11 planets and moons. Bodies: Rubo: A white dwarf that was once a mighty star like Kerbol. Loth: A fiery world with oceans of lava that are slowly cooling in the dim light of Rubo. Ufgo: A tidal locked desert with old dried up oceans and ice on the farside. Crof: A small world even more forgotten than Dres. It has a cratered cold surface. Giza: The biggest gas giant in the system, but still small. Most of its mass got lost in the past. Micry
  23. What is this? The first part of my Light Levels (LL/2L) series It's a planet/"star" pack that adds 3 brown dwarfs 7 planets and 3 moons. Bodies: Brün: A bright brown dwarf that would almost have been a red dwarf, but it wasn't that lucky and still fell into the L class Xing: The first planet of Brün, a cold non-habitable tidal locked water world. Yurff: The second planet of Brün, a Mun sized planet with some special rings and a hilly but cratered surface. Bäz: The third planet of Brün, way farther out there is Bäz. a gas giant half the size and mass of Jo
  24. Salus: A J1407b Analogue [1.7.3] What does this mod add? Salus: A large gas giant out past Jool with the largest rings Kerbals have ever seen. It is thought that a close encounter with a rogue planet gave its orbit its inclination, as well as its current ring system. Visit soon, they're not expected to last for much longer. They've already begun collapsing into moons. Dauble: An icy world harboring a subsurface ocean, with plumes spraying out world-wide. Dauble is nested inside Salus's rings, providing quite the skyline. Dulus: A small moon orbit
  25. EXTRASOLAR License: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike DESCRIPTION: The Extrasolar mod adds the red dwarf star "Valentine" in orbit around Kerbol. Orbiting Valentine are several new planets and moons to discover. Because Valentine is so far away, you will probably have to download some mods in order to make the trip easier. DO NOT INSTALL THIS FROM CKAN! LIST OF CELESTIAL BODIES: SCREENSHOTS: DOWNLOAD ON SPACEDOCK CHANGE LOG:
