  1. Unfortunately I cant post on other topics but KSP2 for now but if its not obvious enough I stopped makin the Dusk Planet Pack but I have got back into modding and am currently making a new mod soon. I got over the textuing hurdles but I am still trying to find better solutions to make textures. Stay tuned for updates (maybe)
  2. As says the title, i'm only really looking for the best of the best, so i have some requirements that the mods needs to fit in if someone has any suggestions that i haven't documented yet, they are: I would prefer for them to have no space engine textures, since it feels kind of cheap, at least for advanced modders; Most (preferably all) of the textures need to have at least mid or high resolution, because i don't really like looking at pixels or bad looking terrain, however it doesn't need to be 8k resolution or whatever, it just needs to look at least a little bit good; All of the celestial bodies added need to have proper descriptions on the tracking station, by that i mean that when i check the "knowledge base" i don't want to see a blank space with nothing written on it except for the usual stuff like, radius, mass, etc, since that is mandatory for any planet mod to work anyways; And it needs to have proper grammar on the descriptions, i'm fine with a few typos since that is basically unavoidable and i can fix them myself on the configs if i want to anyways, such as switching its with it's, missing periods at the end of a sentence, minor stuff like that is okay, although i would prefer the quantity of typos to be low, however major stuff, like entire sentences written incorrectly or even mixing up the description of one body for another that is in a different place (yes, that happens, although i only saw it once, and the mod was simply too good to not put here, hopefully that gets fixed in the future) kind of annoys me in a game about exploring space, i would at least like to have descriptions i can mostly understand and that keeps typos to a minimum. Here's all of the ones i have found that mostly fit into these criteria: Alternis Kerbol 1.7.3 Asclepius 1.5x Corelian 1.11x Dres moons 1.8.1 Eve moons 1.7.3 Galileo Planet Pack 1.12.1 Gameslinx Planet Overhaul 1.4.3 Ghekta 1.11.2 Heracleitus 1.12.2 Kronkus Planet Pack 1.5x Minor Planets Expansion 1.12.2 New Horizons Outer Planets Mod 1.11x Real Solar System 1.8x Xenonclave's Planet Collection Revived 1.7x After Kerbin 1.7.3 Before Kerbin 1.4.2 JNSQ Planet Pack 1.12.1 Kerbol Origins 1.8.1 Beyond Home 1.9.1-1.10x Blinding Light Levels 1.10x EventHorizon 1.7x Extrasolar: Planets Beyond Kerbol 1.7.3 Galaxies Unbound 1.12x Grannus Expansion Pack 1.12.1 Low Light Levels Blue 1.8.1 Low Light Levels Red 1.8.1 Precursors Planet Pack 1.9x-1.11x Seven Worlds Around Slippist-1 1.7.3 Whirligig World Planetary System 1.11.2 Endless Expanse 1.12.3 Other Worlds Reboot 1.6 Real Exoplanets 1.8.1 Strange New Worlds 1.8x-1.11x Are there any good planet/star pack you guys know that is not in this list? Thanks to whoever read this wall of text and have a good day!
  3. The Kronkus system - Kopernicus Planet Pack by MrChumley This mod adds a ringed gas giant with 4 moons. It is ready for career mode with full integration into the stock game. Completely new biomes with custom science, and new secrets to discover. Textures have been optimized for quick loading, and low memory use. Includes: 1 GAS GIANT Kronkus: Huge purple ringed gas giant orbiting between Dres and Jool 4 MOONS Eahpeh: The icy shepherd moon that weaves its way through the rings of Kronkus. Kersex: It's the "Almost Kerbin" home away from home. A whole new frontier with towering mountains, desolate deserts, and fjords that stretch as far as the eye can see. Meelo: Next, is Meelo. The middle moon. Orbits outside Kersex. It's monotone colors are home to the most "sensible" moon in the Kronkus system. Scool: The outermost, tidally-locked, dusty snowball moon of the Kronkian system. Known issues: Kerbin space center "looks weird": Using Kerbin template causes the sky to be incorrect in the space center view. It is, however, correct in the flight view and the flight map view. Kersex has extra ground station(s): The extra ground station is hard coded into the Kerbin template (Which Kersex relies on) and cannot be removed (as far as I know). After extensive testing, I have determined that the extra base has minimal impact on gameplay. During career mode the station cannot be upgraded so its range is extremely limited. Enabling extra ground stations is not recommended. DOWNLOADS Kronkus Releases Source ________________________________________ (Requires Kopernicus and Module Manager) Supports: Optional: "FarOut" Contract Pack requires Contract Configurator Galactic Neighborhood Distant object enhancement bis New Horizons compatible Environmental visual enhancements (adds clouds to Kersex) Research bodies ________________________ Add this optional config file to your Kronkus folder if you want to move Kerbin into orbit of Kronkus: MoveKerbin.cfg <~~~ Right click & Save as Enjoy!

  5. Asclepius v5.0 A new Kopernicus planet (and moon) for KSP! Video by Jacob Plays Some Games If you've been to 1 Island on Laythe, you've been to them all... Do you need a new, fun, and exciting destination for your fleet of SSTO spaceplanes? Look no further my friend. Asclepius is a small, sandy, and fissured world, possessing a very thin oxygen atmosphere that only gets thick enough for planes to fly (or chutes to work ) deep in the canyons. Asclepius is meant to be a "low memory footprint" planet pack that even a potato computer can run. 6. Welcome to the development thread for the Precursors Planet Pack! This thread is very old and outdated. See the new one here: PRECURSORS IS OUT! DOWNLOAD AT https://spacedock.info/mod/2869/Precursors Planet Pack#info Mod Overview The discovery of mysterious SSTV signals originating from Duna was a monumental leap in the search for intelligent life. Deciphering the signals revealed The Ignotum System, a previously undiscovered solar system 3 light years from Kerbin. Having recently mastered interstellar travel and hibernation technologies, the Kerbals were quick to launch an expedition to this new system. The trip ran smoothly, but upon arrival.... ... Alone among the stars, you are the future of the expedition. Rediscover ancient rocketry and flight technologies as you explore a vast, handcrafted solar system. Uncover the secrets behind the SSTV signals and the alien race that created them. Precursors is a planet pack designed to provide a fresh and exciting experience to players. Stranded on a barren but habitable world, traverse highly detailed celestial bodies and never-before-seen environments. Each planet and moon has a distinct challenge and appearance; hike across scalding volcanic mountains, maneuver through massive forests, and battle against relentless gravity on your journey across The Ignotum System. Collect custom science reports and unearth extensive lore in this continuation of the KSP story. Dependencies This mod is compatible with KSP 1.9.x-1.12.x. Precursors uses Scatterer to enhance the player experience. While Scatterer is not necessary, I highly recommend you download it for the full experience. Updates I will frequently discuss new content and post in-game screenshots of my progress. Most of these screenshots are taken from orbit and shouldn't be huge spoilers. Mod plan (SPOILERS) Screenshots (SPOILERS) RELEASE DATE: OUT NOW Screenshots here are not up to date.
  7. This system is a work in progress. When I first began this star system, it began with an idea to make it Mayan. And as you can tell from the date of the original OP and to now, that's what the system's names for the star and planets consisted of. But along the way to now, I felt that it would be better to repackage it and give everything names that sound a bit more Kerbal. This project began as an attempt to teach myself how to create a planet pack. But I also wanted to do something neat with it to make it different. One of the television shows of the late 1970s and early 1980s that led to my fascination with astronomy was the show Cosmos with Dr. Carl Sagan. One particular episode was about the life cycles of stars - and how as a star dies, one of two things could happen - the star could go supernova OR the star could expand, shed its photosphere, then collapse back on its core and form a white dwarf. This project picks up the stellar saga after the ejection of the photosphere. Hioffpo was believed once to be a yellow star, much like Kerbol. As it aged, it became a red super giant, consuming the inner four rocky worlds. Its photosphere collapsed and parts of it was ejected into space in an orbit around the newly emerging blue-white dwarf (an intermediate stage before becoming a white dwarf). Some of the ejected solar matter coalesced into a tidally locked small rocky world (the above image). Remaining matter didn't form a planet but is rumored to have formed a series of rings intermingled with a few moderately sized asteroids. Current mod development progress and release notes 0.1 27/08/2017 Initial release. 11. NEW FORUM PAGE UP NOW Project Pile turns to Galaxy Mod 8 months ago, I set out to create an ambitious project known as Trilogy, to which I became very burnt out creating. As an escape from working on the same thing daily, I created Flamed Out, which became my first released mod. After that I began creating new projects and announcing them near daily. It began to get repetitive. Start a new project, cancel a project. Everything fell through. I took a break for a couple weeks. And in an attempt to streamline, I present to you; KIP Systems. My take on a GU style mod. *EXTREMELY EARLY WORK IN PROGRESS* Now, you may be wondering; Where did the name Lazarus come from? Many months of motivation getting less and less eventually caused me to quit modding for a while. I eventually came back with this mod, which is comparable to the story of Lazarus, a person who died and came back to life. 16. So @Misguided Kerbal made the original Valor mod but it has died and he put the mod up for revival, after a while i decided to take it and revived it SpaceDock: https://spacedock.info/mod/2866/Valor Planet Pack Revived?ga=<Game+3102+'Kerbal+Space+Program'> No pic, no click, here you go Screenshot with scatterer System plan/system arrangement To do list Dependencies Kopernicus and its stuff Anyway lets go to the Q&A Q: Is Valor compatible with OPM? A: Yes! Q: Is Valor compatible with MPE? A: Yes! Minor Planet Expansion is compatible and recommended! Q: Is Valor compatible with (Insert Planet Pack Here that's not listed above) A: I don't know. Test it out yourself! Q: How can I help? A: Anything is appreciated! Q: Can we stop with the questions now? A: Um.... sure, I guess. Valor Revived is licensed with GPLv3 Change logs Special Thanks to: @Misguided Kerbal for creating the mod in the first place, @The Minmus Derp for fixing the OPM patch, @Kerbal Productions, making the scatter images
  17. IMPORTANT: This mod is now being continued by @ffx here: I've always wanted another gas giant for the Kerbin System, and after playing with OPM a lot, I decided to try it myself. After all, it's not rocket science, it's astronomy! I mainly made this because, recently, after I started getting interested into modding, I decided to make a planet pack, or at least try to. So, I'll be documenting my efforts here. Disclaimer: Valor is currently very WIP. It's not finished, and there will obviously be problems. Here's the current plan for the system (Ones with check marks are in-game already): √ Valor - Blue Gas Giant Blue Has Oxygenated Atmosphere Milo Orbits extremely close to Valor Should have a great view Mun-like √ Theta - Desert Moon High Ore Concentration Oxygenated Atmosphere Bonx - Rocky Moon Very High Ore Concentration Signature Black Stripes on it's surface (May or may not be related to Ore Concentration ) Binx - Tiny Moon in a near-polar orbit Gilly-like moon May be a captured asteroid/comet, we'll see Kipper Huge, reddish moon (bigger than Tylo!) 5 gees of gravity at sea level More ore concentration than Bonx! Has a set of rings, formed when it's own gravity ripped it's moonlet apart √ Orton An ocean moon that got frozen over Got ejected out of its orbit by a catastrophic event, once orbited between Kerbin and Eve Very very thin remnants of it's original atmosphere still exist To-Do List: Finish adding all the moons Add biomes Add Terrain Scatter Add EVE support Add Scatterer support Add PlanetShine support Add Kopernicus Expansion Footprints support Changelog: v0.3 - Added Orton v0.2 - Added Theta - Tilted Valor's rings by 10 degrees - Changed the internal folder structure slightly v0.1 - Initial release, added Valor. No Pics, No Clicks? Here ya go! Download: Spacedock Dependencies: Kopernicus Continued License: Valor is licensed under GPLv3 Installation Instructions: Just drag the contents of the GameData folder into your GameData folder. Q&A: Q: Is Valor compatible with OPM? A: No, as Valor's orbit is very similar to Sarnus's. However, if you get more hands-on, Valor makes a pretty good Planet 9 Analog Q: Is Valor compatible with MPE? A: Yes! Minor Planet Expansion is compatible and recommended! Q: Is Valor compatible with (Insert Planet Pack Here that's not listed above) A: I don't know. Test it out yourself! Q: I can't find this mod on CKAN! A: Valor is listed on CKAN as Valor Planet Pack. If you can't find it, you can always download from the spacedock link above. Q: How can I help? A: Anything is appreciated! Q: Is there a Discord/Chatroom for VPP? A: As of now, all VPP discussion resides at: https://discord.gg/NBjTwyhZsQ Q: Can we stop with the questions now? A: Um.... sure, I guess. Any comments, screenshots, contributions, and criticism is always accepted and appreciated! If you think something should be different, please tell me! Special Thanks to: @R-T-B , who helped me solve a bug with this mod, @DunaManiac, who graciously provided the texture of Orton, and also provided guidance, @Commodore_32, for providing feedback and screenshots. Thank you all very much!
  18. I got inspired by a few things. Gameslinx, a bucket of rocks, and TWG's Arkas development. I've thus decided that I would like to learn and experiment with Kopernicus every day (i can) for 365 days, starting August 11th, 2021. My goal is simple. Make a planet pack that's enjoyable and way over the top, that's compatible with some other big names, *cough cough* OPM *cough cough* and overall just a fun learning experience. For the first few days before the challenge begins, I'm going to try to expand my small brain to fit the universe of Kopernicus inside of it and teach myself the basics so I can make something neat. Any help would be appreciated. Day One; My Birthday: I kicked off this self-proclaimed-challenge with a bang, (or maybe a boom?) Huge thanks to TheWhiteGuardian for helping me along thusfar, I probably bore him to death. After over two hours, plenty of help, and trying to figure out how to convert files from .txt to .cfg, I successfully Created DAWN! the center of my new system. Until I get a home planet made, Dawn will be orbiting Kerbol at a really safe distance (so I don't have to look at it unless I want to) I also started work on a small planet named Prova. Day Two: Today was very busy, with school and some exercise. I had very little time to work on anything today. I started on a gas giant (~7x Jool's size) that will be white with gold accents running through it (and maybe a thin, highly inclined ring from a munar collision) I'm only about halfway done with the config file of it. Maybe I can finish it tomorrow.
  19. What is this? The final part of my Light Levels (LL/2L) series It adds in two stars with a handful of planets and moons ready to be explored I also added wormholes for the people who don't want to use interstellar drives ^ you can also remove them easily if you don't want to play with them Bodies: Rigos: A hot and bright A type star, its twice the size of Kerbol and has a decently sized system. Ben: The innermost planet of Rigos, no REALLY innermost. It orbits so close that its shape got distorted. Teros: A really hot and bright Eve like planet, its atmosphere is so thick that almost all engines don't work. (Tip, use propellors) Gert: The only moon of Teros. Its surface has a nice cratered brown color. Termina: A type II gas giant with water clouds, making the planet very white and bright. Erto: Erto is a small cratered minmus sized rock with a grey color. Tempora: Probably the best place for an interstellar colony. It's very similar to Kerbin, but a bit more dry with vast deserts. Gosa: A mega Kerbin disguised as a gas giant. Probably the most Aqua colored planet ever to be found. Lilk: A cracked Icy inner moon of Gosa. Mago: Cold, covered with craters, a thin atmosphere and some interesting cryovolcanoes. Pjotter: The outermost planet of the Rigos system. Visit him now to make him less lonely! Rouger: A gigantic star, If it were placed in the Kerbolar system, it would just fit in the orbit of Jool! Col: A hot selena getting roasted by this ginormous star. Ufer: Very similar to Tylo, but a tad bit bigger. Qualia: A boiling wet moon of Ufer covered in endless oceans. Spol: The perfect place to insta freeze your ice creams in the nitrogen lakes. Rol: It has had a recent asteroid bombardment covering it in craters. Wol: A weird icy moon between the size of Minmus and the Mun and a bit bigger than its counterpart of Rol The series -B2L - you are looking at it right now -3LR - The other part of this series which adds 2 brown dwarfs. -3LB - A pack with a binary white dwarf and magnetar neutron star, and a whole lot of planets to explore Kottabos Review Download Github: https://github.com/RJVB09/Blinding-Light-Levels/releases (secondary) Spacedock: https://spacedock.info/mod/2395/Blinding Light Levels Dependencies Kopernicus: (optional) Kopernicus Expansion (Wormholes): (Already combined with download) (optional) EVE: https://github.com/WazWaz/EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements/releases (optional) scatterer: https://spacedock.info/mod/141/scatterer Screenshots Imgur Album: https://imgur.com/a/uhveiKZ Contact For development updates join my discord server! https://discord.gg/gHGupT8 Please report bugs here: https://github.com/RJVB09/Blinding-Light-Levels/issues License https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/
  20. This mod turns the Kerbol system into a more realistic representation of the Real Solar System. Moho has a new texture, Gilly is moved, and there are more outer planets? Also it's all inclined? That's just part of this mod. Download license = CC-BY-SA
  21. So... Almost two years ago @Artyomka15 created a wonderful mod. Kolyphemus System is a analogue of the Polyphemus System from movie Avatar. So, it's time to back a legend*! *ORIGINAL THREAD: THE KOLYPHEMUS SYSTEM Mod adds the kerbalized version of Polyphemus and its moons from the movie Avatar Kolyphemus - a blue gas giant with oxygen atmosphere that orbits between Kerbin and Eve (what??) Kalatea - that weird moon is often called "The Space Cheese" due to it's strange shape... Moei - do you love hot chics? I wish you were here Pandoor - a habitable planet with giant trees, which can be a reason for your lags... Changelog MORE SCREENSHOTS DOWNLOAD FROM SPACEDOCK LICENCE: CC-BY-NC-SA
  22. Technology has brought the kerbals far, but has not brought them a new home. Instead, it has destroyed their home, and forced all kerbals to move onto a singular habitation ring. After thoroughly looking through old data, they reluctantly chose Dominion, a dead planet in a dead star system, to be their new settlement. Upon landing it was immediately noted that the atmospheric oxygen levels were perfect for Kerbal life. Dominion reached a population higher than Kerbin's and every previous colony combined. It was a golden age for kerbals, but all good things must come to an end, and unfortunately death is a repeating trend in this strange system. What is Trilogy? 23. Billions of years after the universe has died, The Kerbals have opened an anomaly to this new universe. Before the dawn of life has occured, they crash land on Esmuth. Here they must start anew, and take back the stars. Compatabilities Notes -Yes Esmuth is uninhabitable -Install MakingLessHistory for gamebreaking bugfixes (like unable to return to space center) Known Bugs Esmuth will appear blue and shiny. Delete Stock Kerbin's scatterer config. (This shouldn't happen anymore, but leaving it just in case.)
