  1. I have made a video on the failed (albeit successful) launch of a Vostok capsule!
  2. We build one base station with a few modules, enough to give shelter to 6 astronauts/cosmonauts and enough fuel to fly to Mars and return to Earth. We add the Mars lander to the station. We send the crew in several capsules to dock to the station. When everyone is there, we send the whole to Mars. When the station is in Mars orbit, some of the astronauts go to the lander, and land on Mars, do their job, and those who have been in orbit help in the analysis of the data. After some time they start from Mars, dock to the station, but do not reject the lander. They are waiting for a transfer window to Earth, when they are again in orbit around the earth, they land on Earth in capsules in which they arrived at stations. The transfer vehicle itself and the Martian lander could be refurbished and used multiple times, and maybe even capsules too I think the real scientist probably figured it out a long time ago, but that was my thought when I played Surviving Mars
  3. download here--> https://kerbal.curseforge.com/projects/salyut-1-soyuz-10/files 19th April 1971. While NASA was busy with Lunar missions, the Soviets decided to launch the first ever space station, Salyut 1, in low earth orbit. Salyut consistend of a single module, inside it cosmonauts had space to live and work on scientific experiments. It was launched on a Proton-K rocket from Baikonur, in Kazakhstan, to its almost circular 200 km orbit inclined of 51.6 degrees. In this mission you will also take command of Soyuz 10, lanuched on 23rd april 1971, the first spacecraft to dock to Salyut 1. Vehicles recreated: -Proton-K -Salyut 1 -Soyuz 7K-OKS -Soyuz Rocket Accurate features: -Salyut 1 orbit -Salyut maneuvers -Launch sites coordinates -Landing site coordinates -Cosmonauts names Proton rocket at Site 81/24 in Baikonur. Salyut 1 in orbit around Kerbin. Soyuz rocket just after booster separation. download here--> https://kerbal.curseforge.com/projects/salyut-1-soyuz-10/files
  4. I have Asperger i'm from Poland, i read about one American shuttle astronaut whom bears Polish sounding surname, but she's hardly neither badge of honor for Aspies nor for People with Polish Ancestry https://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2011/02/lisa-nowak-space-oddity/71383/ http://wrongplanet.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=42295 It can be said that there is no more dangerous force in nature than a cheated woman, in particular a cheated woman on the autism spectrum xD Well i'm little quirky gay man on Autistic spectrum :-) I loved to watch both Russian and American space launches, the live broadcasts from Houston Texas, USA or Star City(Звёздный городо́к, Zvyozdny gorodok), Russia, where American and Russian mission control center are located , when my mom was still alive i talked with her that i want be cosmonaut/astronaut, my mom used to say it's unreal because Poland not have own manned program(with i said that we're ESA) and i have autism, with i say that American Astronaut was also aspie but she flown into space, even trough she had some of her autistic meltdown My mom said that well she would prefer me in mission control like those folks or those one but i always want be like this one :-) I once asked my late mom does she not want me be astronaut because i'm Aspie? :-) And my mom replied that partially yes, but mainly because i'm just her son and she remember like the Soviets once loses their cosmonauts, and she remember like she watched Polish communist newsreel which with unlikely other communist newsreel said with high regard about trio of American astronauts who died in terrible fire in late 60's :-( And she not want to see me nor my older brother in similar settings :-( I said that it;s unlikely that anyone die in space nowadays :-)
  5. https://geektimes.ru/post/295911/ As we know, Mayak wasn’t the only craft to siffer a goof-up. During the cubesat drop in 600 km orbit, a total of 10 payloads ended up suffering complete or gradual loss of power. None of the other oaylods were affected. The Mayak team has upgraded its official mock-up with flight-grade electronics and ran it through a full set of vibration tests with no issues. They’ve slowly excluded all other internal issues - although they’re desperately trying to not claim that, since it implicates Roscosmos. The observed electrical faults match the description of damage by a cloud of photodissociating hydrazine, which could be produced if there was a valve or catalyst bed problem - which would not have crippled the Fregat tug, since it performed several burns afterwards. ...which prompted Lenta.ru to accuse Roscosmos of launching Cubesats on an inherently unfit platform.
  6. This is an effective repost of my question If the Soviet manned lunar program succeeded, how would the missions be designated? on Quora. The only answer suggested I ask Roscosmos people. Unfortunately, there seems to be literally no Soviet space program/Roscosmos employees, present or former, on Quora. Hence, I re-ask this question here to show it to a wider audience, including people who may be super duper knowledgeable about the Russian Space Program. Comment in question source:
  7. Hi guys! I just wanted to share with you the new project I'm working on. It's a YouTube series called "The Story of Space Exploration". In this series I'll talk about and explain the most important missions in the story of Space, with some help of Kerbal Space Program. I made 2 trailers and just published the first episode, "How does a rocket work?". I'll put the links below just in case you're interested: Trailer 1 Trailer 2 How does a rocket work? The Story of Space Exploration ep 1 Please let me know what you think
  8. https://kommersant.ru/doc/3310777 So, a whole bunch of announcements. Angara-A5P man-rated heavy booster is cancelled. Federatsiya's inaugural flight is to take place from Baikonur in 2022. It will be integrated with Feniks/Baiterek/fat Zenit with a 4.1 m RD-170M first stage. Vostochnyi will not receive a manned flight infrastructure until 2025, when a pad for a yet-undetermined Moonshot superheavy is to enter service.
  9. Why there is NASA and ESA flags in the game, but not Roscosmos flag? Isn't Roscosmos is the only space agency in the World, capable to deliver astronauts to orbit and ISS now? I can suggest this one:
  10. Roscosmos has just released the video of the first launch from its new Vostochny cosmodrome: Here are some additional photos:
