  6. I've gotten my rover as close as I could to the point on the map, but I don't know how to exactly aim for the area I need to be. I've been moving a bit NSWE and taking EVA reports but nothing seems to activate the contract. Am I doing something wrong? When I click on the marker on the map I get an option to "Start Navigation" but it doesn't seem to do anything! At the very least I feel there should be a visible marker in the world, like for my other crafts and flags and such.

It was initially developed UKRDF Ground Vehicle Company at the time of the Two Year War, it is a vehicle of choice for most science expedition groups.   9. I am optimizing my vehicles for building a mining station on Eeloo. In the midst of this I installed KAS/KIS for the first time. Something really weird is happening and I do not know if it is due to the mods, or the game, or my stupidity. I built a skycrane/rover combination. I am using the in-game-cheat to orbit it around Eeloo while I optimize its functioning. When I first show up orbiting Eeloo all the solar panels deploy. I manually close all the gigantors on the rover and leave the solar panels on the skycrane deployed. Then I activate the engines and land. The rover is und

  13. Hey everyone! Lots of people have been anxiously waiting for this mod. It's finally at a point where it's playable, and all the necessary features are working. This is a manned rover, based off of the design in The Martian! Now you can re-create your own missions to Duna, or drive across the planet. It features several parts: Command Pod with lights and KIS storage, Battery with attached solar panels, "flatbed" main frame with KIS storage, and "trailer" optional frame.   14. This mod is a very very simple mod. 2 parts. A half scale Land Rover Defender in "adventure special edition" orange and black, and two different wheels.   15. I wouldn't call it the kraken but for whatever reason my game is currently bugged beyond comprehension and I've no idea what is going on. Here I am just about to come in for a landing with my Mun Rover, I've left a satellite in Orbit to relay the signal and I've got plenty of fuel, SAS and gimbal to successfully to do the landing, everything *should* have been good to go, the probability for success was 99%.   17. This is spectacular. The visuals are amazing. Finally some producers understand what space is. Dark sky without stars in daylight, no ambient sound in vacuum, ballistic dust (no convection), and there is even electrostatic lunar dust, it's amazing. I'm just curious how is normal walking in the base explained, because that's not realistic.

  19. I have created a launchpad in the VAB, launched it, and moved it to a different location in the space center. Now I want to launch rockets from it. The only problem is that when I launch, the rocket launches from the regular launch pad so I have to move the rocket to the other pad somehow. I have tried making many different rovers armed with claws, but none of them are very reliable and can't easily it straight up the ramp onto the secondary launch pad. Has anyone done this before? FOREWORD After Reactor 4 of the Chernobyl NPP exploded, large amounts of rubble, graphite moderator and other radioactive material from the destroyed reactor were ejected onto the roofs of power plant facilities.   22. My latest effort has been to re-create the suspension on the Mars Curiosity rover in stock. I've gone through many versions and further tweaking lately isn't adding anything so it's time to publish. This one's for you, @Majorjim! K, it's not quite a replica, but we're focused on the suspension. The rover splits into many (13? 15?) separate craft. Here's a terrible drawing of the relationships of the different craft.   23. I think I finally got this working reasonably well. There are some odd bugs. If you timewarp, the program rearranges his eyeballs, and for some reason the mouth is positioned properly in the SPH but a bit off when loading. Oh, well.. minor stuff. Despite the fact I actually am not at all a fan of Twitter, it was still quite cool to have the KSP folk post both this and my Milo plane. Thanks for the support you all!   24. using only rover wheels get into orbit around any body, secondary thrusters can be used to keep the craft on the ground longer but not to increase the craft's acceleration directly. the tiers are: easy: use rover wheels on a moon to get into orbit around a planet medium: use rover wheels on a planet or moon with atmosphere to get into orbit hard: use rover wheels to generate enough speed to get into orbit around the sun good luck to all, this challenge may be impossible.
