  1. I have a texture bug after installing scatterer on 1.8.1. U have to zoom in or be very close to the ground for any texture to appear (on all planets). A link with a screenshoot: https://imgur.com/a/kIn58Ey
  2. Hi there fellow Space Explorers! Recently I wanted to boost the looks in my KSP 1.11 install as many do. I already tried to follow the guides for things like EVE, Stock Visual Ench.. and scatter. However there must be something I am either doing wrong or is wrong with my installation (btw, uninstall and re-installed yesteday the game). So at the moment I find myself with just scatter as visual mod, I read the page for the mod and tryed to change a couple of parameters but still the planets with atmosphere look nothing alike the ones i see on YouTube... Below links to some pictures. How my Kerbin Looks Mod List Thanks a lot in advance, Nik
  3. My Environmental Visual Enhancements mod does not seem to have an effect on the visual display of Kerbin or any other planets otherwise affected by EVE. All of my visual mods are up-to-date (1.10-1.11, as not all mods are updated to 1.11). Here's my Gamedata folder: The EVE icon is displayed while in-game, but upon opening complains about not having a config for certain visual mods on EVE. Now the main solution would be to download the configuration files from the EVE download page, but the only thing they have is the source code, with the following message "Note that the Config files have not changed in this release - you do not need to update them if you already have these or another config.". Here's an example of the config error: (The same error message is displayed when in a different category, but instead of "EVE_SHADOWS{}", it is replaced with whatever category it is in. (ex: "EVE_CLOUDS{}" for the cloud and atmosphere category). For the last image, here's what the actual problem is: (it appears as though EVE doesn't even have any affect on Kerbin at all). So my question is: Does anybody else have this problem, or a solution to it? And I also ask if EVE Redux is a working mod that functions as intended (that won't also have this problem)
  4. playing KSP. I should note that I am playing version 1.9.1 due to other mods. I also have no other mods that modify the visuals of the planet. I also do not have Transfer Window Planner, which I need to mention as it was causing problems for people in other threads with similar issues. so, I sent a spaceplane to Laythe, only the wings got ripped off somehow in the decent, leading to the plane crashing in the sea. I was able to save what remained of the plane with some parachutes I put on for landing. when on the water surface, I noticed that, when the water is looked at from specific camera angles, or in some cases just all the time, the water detail was not present, there was only a blank sphere where the water should be darkening the ground under it. as I have said before, I don't have any other mod that change how planets look, which leads me to believe scatterer is causing the issue
  5. Installing visual mods for myself was very frusturating, because they often were outdated and didnt work on CKAN. I would install the mods, and then they just didnt work. Because I know the struggle, I thought I would save it for others wanting visual mods by compiling all of the mods and necessities (other than ModuleManager) in one zip file. This file contains the following mods: PlanetShine: Adds a reflection to ships near a bright planet Scatterer: Adds atmospheric scattering, sunflare, eclipse shadows, etc. DistantObjectEnhancment: Enhances distant crafts and celestial bodies, and adds dynamic skybox dimming Environmental Visual Enhancements and Stock Visual Enhancements: Adds auroras, city lights (only on Kerbin), clouds, and a better Jool texture on bodies with an atmosphere. Real Plume: Adds much better engine thrust visuals SmokeScreen: Allows Real Plume to work Pood's 8k Milky Way Skybox: A beautiful skybox of the real milky way based on NASA data TextureReplacer: Allows Pood's Skybox to work I have left out ModuleManager. Make sure to install it to allow Module Manager before installing these mods. Module Manager is a necessity for most mods anyway. https://github.com/sarbian/ModuleManager Here is the zip file containing the mods [snip] Instructions for install: 1. Download and unzip the .zip file 2. Copy the contents of the downloaded GameData folder (NOT the folder itself, the CONTENTS within it) into KSP's GameData folder. (Remember you need ModuleManager) 3. Open KSP and enjoy! I chose to use the medium resolution textures for stock visual enhancements, which are best suited for average systems. This works good on my pretty weak laptop. If you want to change this, follow these instructions: 1. Visit this website https://github.com/Galileo88/StockVisualEnhancements/releases/tag/1.0.8 2. Download your desired texture resolution (Low res for lesser operating systems, high res for good operating systems) 3. Unzip the file 4. Go to the StockVisualEnhancements folder that you have installed in KSP's GameData folder and delete the "Textures" Folder 5. Drop the new "Textures" file you have just download into the "StockVisualEnhancemets" folder If you have any questions, feel free to reply.
  6. My name is cyrus playz and I have made a few mods in the past but.........bla bla bla you know the drill, but this is special, this is a collaboration between me and ILoveStars. This is a kopernicus mod that adds a few new star systems. Now this is NOT yet ready for release, far from it.This topic is more for help with the mod, especially visual mods.So any help will be more than welcome. And anyone wanting to review this mods should come back later. Anyways here's the mod download if anyone can help. https://spacedock.info/mod/2414/CAISE Know problems: License:MIT
  7. Hi there, I'm currently working on a mod which reparents Kerbin to a new solar system which orbits a star which orbits a black hole which in turn orbits the stock sun. However, upon creating EVE and Scatterer Configs i have found that when I run both I get black EVE Details on every body. I have fiddled around with settings, my scatterer is set to follow the new star and my configs all run okay when I play with just the stock system, but seem to give these black details on every planet when i run both the scatterer and EVE. I can run just the EVE config and find that detail colours are normal, but whenever I run both the scatterer and EVE config I get these horrible looking black clouds. I've been stuck with this problem for several months and am really stuck in development of my mod. Any help would be really appricated as i have asked many other mod developers and scoured numerous forum posts for a solution. https://imgur.com/sLa32XC Here's the logs https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Xm5ljTJXz1AnbAwdHOer348RiuH-0qpp I'm running version 1.7.3.2594x64 of ksp with both DLCs at versions 1.7.1 breaking ground and 1.2.0 making history I'm running the latest versions of both EVE and Scatterer (for 1.7.x), at 1.7.3-0 and 0.0540 respectively Thanks in advance. I hope I've provided enough information
  8. Hey KSP People! First Post, so I hope this is the right place. Lately i've been trying out some graphics mods like "Spectra", "Astronomers Visual Pack", "Environmental Visual Enhancements", "Stock Visual Enhancements", "Scatterer", ... as well as different Skyboxes. However, sadly, they all looked absolutely terrible. Especially the terrain on Kerbin was so awful thaat I just instantly quit. Some of them looked worse than the Vanilla game. I've installed all of them via CKAN, trying out their different configurations on different versions of KSP, but there's just not been a single mod that really convinced me. I'm currently on KSP 1.9.1 Am I doing something wrong? Are there any better mods that I don't know of? Do I need special configurations for those mods to work properly? I really hope somebody can help me with this, I've seen KSP look better in some YouTube videos and just can't achieve that level of visual realism it seems
  9. https://imgur.com/a/2U1D7RV Ksp version: 1.8.1 Scatterer version: for 1.8.0 could this be the problem?
  10. I can only think of EVE but it needs a config, and SVE doesn't seem to work. And scatterer is broken and tried to be forked into Skedaddle but was shot down. (I predict the same will happen with the new fork of PlanetShine.) Somehow Matt Lowne got EVE and SVE to work in 1.8??? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KTsdd043t0
  11. When i upload KSP in 1.8 Scatterer had some glitchy problems in the space center
  12. Before I begin, here is my modlist: B9 Aerospace BDArmoryContinued Distant Object Enhancement Docking Port Alignment Indicator Environmental Visual Enhancements Ferram Aerospace Research Firespitter Kerbal Alarm Clock Kerbal Attachment System MechJeb 2 ModularFlightIntegrator Module Manager Physics Range Extender PlanetShine RasterPropMonitor SmokeScreen - Extended FX Plugin Texture Replacer Replaced Transfer Window Planner All of the above (except for EVE) were installed manually. KSP Version: 1.7.3.2594 (I'm new to KSP modding. I really enjoy how these mods improve the experience, but please do let me know if any conflict and may cause issues.) My specs: i7 7700k, Z270 Mobo EVGA 1080ti SC 16GB 2400MHz RAM 2 512GB SSDs in RAID 0 So it seems that the black sky bug that apparently happens often with Scatterer is happening to me, but with even more issues on top of that. Here is how playing KSP goes for me atm: The game loads, looks great and works just fine when I first load in. Loading into anything a second or third time seems to work well too (i.e. loading into VAB and then launching pad). It seems that after the fourth loading screen or the second time loading into the space center screen, I load in okay but I'm presented with a black sky with clouds and an ocean with no water (I just see a blue surface where I assume the bottom would be). After entering any other loading screen (i.e. into VAB again or to take control of a flight), the game stutters as it normally would during loading and then the little rotating loading indicator starts moving again. Then: The loading screen never finishes and I am forced to force quit the game. This happens unless I press ESC to open the pause menu, which seems to close the loading screen and open up whatever instance I was loading into. This only works with 3D instances like VAB. If it was a 3D instance and I pressed ESC during the last step, I am now in the game completely unable to move my camera while still having the black sky and missing ocean. I am tired of searching for solutions. I've spent hours looking stuff up that might be related to my issue but have never seen the disappearing ocean and infinite loading screen part online. I'm assuming a screwed up mod installs somehow, but I've tried many things like: reinstalling visual mods verifying game integrity on Steam disabling certain mods yet the problem persists. I have tried disabling Scatterer and this did fix the black sky, but it caused a tsunami bug and didn't change the infinite loading screen behavior. I honestly don't even know if it fixed the black sky, as my game behaved the exact same except a darker blue sky came in when the fully black sky would have with Scatterer installed. I'm desperate at this point. I want to play this game with mods but I guess I will have to go without until anyone can give me any suggestions. Thanks for your anticipated help.
  13. Hi everybody ! I contact you because I have a little problem ^^ After days and days of experiments I finaly mad SSRSS work on KSP 1.6.1. As you read in the title, everything work perfectly except of Scatterer. It work good on the global map window but in KSC and Flight View all the sky and the sea are completely dark. I tried now for a few week to make it work, I changed .CFG files, Folders, set it for RSS... But nothing work. Scatterer is suppose to work well with SSRSS (I know it's for 1.3.1 version normaly), so I really think there is just a little line to change or something like that to make everything work. But I understand nothing about programming... Is there a very nice person who is ok to help me or take a look to my game data folder to see what break scatterer ? I know there is some people who realy want play SSRSS with one of the latest KSP version, don't hesitate to ask me my folders, as I said everything else work fine Thank your for your help !
  14. So here's a small big issue i'm having with my current build on ksp : apparently scatterer doesn't work with GPP ("Galileo's Planet Pack") - creating black atmosphere and ocean , with no texture whatsoever- , the reason being (from what I can tell) that scatterer isn't finding / loading the settings for the planets that have an atmo / ocean ... My question is : how may I fix this? Here is the log : https://www.dropbox.com/s/68zrf1nvb5j3gzt/KSP.log?dl=0 Also , in the images shown in the next link , Gael and Tellumo have a weird transition from the light to the dark side : https://imgur.com/a/eJIrWyk Please note that I tried reinstalling KSP not once but a couple of times and set in the mods one after another , with testing in between to make sure they work . Scatterer in particular works perfectly fine without GPP. Anyways , i'll be waiting for an answer .
  15. How do you have your visual mods and configs set up? I have my mods set up in a fairly standard way. Environmental Visual Enhancements / Stock Visual Enhancements Distance Object Enhancements KSP Post Processing Pack (cfg file: https://pastebin.com/nuQNVkQ2 )
  16. My RSS save has a huge graphics error on Earth. I'm using KSP 1.3.1, scatterer 0.0320b, Kopernicus 1.3.1-3, and RSSVE 1.3.1-6. Below is what it looks like in DX11 and regular (I believe DX9?) Here is all my mods too:
  17. Hello, I am currently trying to learn how to use scatterer to make my own configs and atmospheres. However, I can’t find any tutorials or ways to learn how to use this mod. Is there a place or forum to learn how to make configs for scatterer? Thanks for replying in advance!
  18. New Horizons doesn't come with visual enhancements, so I went in to fix that. This mod is in the Public Domain. You can share it and remix it. As I was writing this I made a download so.... Here Can we move this to add on releases?
  19. This problem has never happened to me before; while I was doing an interplanetary burn to Duna, I turned around and the sunflare wasn't aligned. Mods: Scatterer (atmosphere folders deleted, shouldn't be the problem) Near Future Electrical Near Future Solar B9 Part Switch Near Future Propulsion Community Resource Pack SCANsat Mechjeb EVE (Para sci high peformance pack) -BoulderCo Making History (Squad Expansion) Tracking Station Evolved NOTE: The flares seem to only move along the Y axis, relative to the camera. 20. [Removed by moderation] Ok yes it was taken down I am to busy to maintain this but it is pretty much KSPRC adapted to new versions. You see I didn't think people would care and yes most people don't but I will work on this and maybe someday release this without legal issues and stuff. But at the moment I i'm to busy so i am sorry and honestly I don't care anymore. Maybe some day when @Proot bothers to answer replies when i'm out of college I will remake this mod but right now i'm to busy and yeah i'm in middle school so yeah. So use this instead: or until i get premission it will be just for me to adaptation of KSPRC. [snip]
  21. I've been having a problem with the mod scatterer recently, and it stopped using Kerbin's clouds. In the menu, it says it's using Laythe's "clouds" config and has none.
  22. My apologies if a solution for my problem is already available. I have tried forum and thread and Google searches, but could find nothing similar to what I'm experiencing. In certain circumstances, when I'm using Scatterer and WindowShine together, I get a visual glitch, which is a rapid and irregular flickering arc, or segment( I forget the correct maths term to use), of a circle. This arc is sky blue in colour. Examples in pictures - I had to spam F1 for a screenshot which captured the glitch:- Picture one, in which the glitch is showing itself on the left hand side Picture two, which was taken in the same session as the button-mashing which captured the first picture. This is how the scene should look Picture three, similar to one, but this time closer to the Mun. Note also the dark brown arc (shadow, maybe) on the surface texture of the Mun And finally picture four, again showing how the previous scene should look My troubleshooting has narrowed the issue down to (as the thread title says) a conflict of some sort between WindowShine and Scatterer. The mods required to reproduce the glitch are: (1) ModuleManager - a dependency for WindowShine (2) Texture Replacer Replaced - a dependency for WindowShine (3) WindowShine itself and finally (4) Scatterer. With just these four mods I can reliably reproduce the glitch. Windows 10 64-bit KSP-64-bit KSP 1.3 Steam nVidia Reproduction steps:- - take a clean install of 1.3 and place the four listed mods in Gamedata, as per usual - start 64-bit KSP - Start Game -> Training -> To The Mun, Part One - follow the instructions, just like you would if trying to complete the tutorial. Note, though, that in all my attempts during troubleshooting, I executed all burns and all timewarps in map view, only looking at external view to get my bearings - when you have timewarped through the transfer burn, and the game automatically returns to 1x speed, exit from map view into external view, and the glitch should now be flickering like crazy - perform the injection and circularization burns in map view, timewarping as necessary - when in orbit, having completed the tutorial, exit once more to external view and see that the crazy blue circle is still flickering Picture of my GameData folder, as per the instructions above:- And my log:- https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bxlonfxg6YObRC1MREJmdTRISDg/view?usp=sharing Thanks for reading, any solution would be awesome
  23. Here is a tutorial on how to install Scatterer (and other mods) manually:
  24. Hello, I have a 1.22 version of the game with Realism Overhaul, real solar system, scatterer, planetshine, and real solar system environmental visual enhancements. I just started, and my skies have turned very weird colors, whether I am in space, at the KSC, or in the tracking station/map. I am pretty sure that this is caused by one of the previous mods, but I really would like to use them, so I am wondering if there is any fix that someone can think of. I have many other mods, though I have played without the visual ones and never had this issue In my 1.3 stock planets version I installed scatterer and EVE and had this same problem... Thanks! Here is a link to an image of the sky https://imgur.com/a/iUM9w
  25. This is a problem I have in all three of my 1.3 games; one is modded with 52 mods and the other is my "galactic playground" for building a new solar system mod. But now, I've got a lot of light. Any suggestions?
