  1. There's an old thread by @BigBoy734 about finding Kerbal Space Program planets/moons in the universe simulator Space Engine. I've been continuing that search, so I decided to make a thread for it as well. Keep in mind that... Other users can participate. Their screenshots can be posted on the main page (just leave a link to the Imgur photo/album). There will also been modded KSP planets being found. So, if you have Space Engine, start exploring! If you're wondering what some of the planets may look like, I have pictures! This photo "album" will be updated whenever I get t
  2. (I'll teach you how to make that) Introduction This is a step by step guide to creating, exporting, and editing a skybox to make it ready for KSP. I made my first skybox mod the other day and several people wanted me to make a tutorial on how to make skyboxes in Space Engine. I haven't found any other tutorials on the subject so I guess I'm making one. Step 1: Download Space Engine Go here to download the latest version of Space Engine. Space Engine is a free game that simulates the universe. It includes real and procedurally generated stars, nebulae, and galaxies.

  4. Anyone else here like to play Space Engine? Want to share interesting places you've found? This is the place! I haven't seen a thread like this, so I thought I'd post one. Here are a few nice places I found today: This stuff is so nice I set my desktop to shuffle my Space Engine screenshot directory. Anyway, what are your favorite planets you've found?
  5. Hello! I was bored one day so I decided to create a small program in Visual Studio which allows the user to convert .sc files from Space Engine to Kopernicus .cfg files. GitHub: https://github.com/ibuckshot5/SE_TO_KOPERNICUS Here's a very basic image of it being used: As you can see, the code is very simple: Add the .sc code, add the paths and done. It's that simple. THE CODE WILL NOT BE READY, YOU MAY HAVE TO MAKE SOME MINOR EDITS. I didn't put much here. I'm lazy.
  6. Hello all. I am assuming I am posting this in the right spot. If not please let me know the proper place to put it. Anyway, I am trying to create my own planet using Space Engine. If anyone is familiar with the program I could really use your help. I am using version 980 and when I export a planet (for the color map, normal map, and height map) I can not find where my exports go. After I export my export folder is empty. From what I understand you can't export planets that actually exist (Earth, Saturn, etc) but you can export procedural planets (I am assuming those are planets the game create
  7. I don't know where else to put this, so I put it in the Lounge since it's talk about anything but KSP, but technical support is meant for KSP, so I can't post it there. Anyways, I noticed that in my install of space engine, all the planets are invisible, and the game crashes when I try to export anything besides gas giants and ice giants. So that means I can't get rocky planets, and I'm working on another planet pack, so that's really, really bad for me. Also, I don't know how to use E-mail on my phone, so I can't register to http://en.spaceengine.org/ and post this there. So basical
  8. Why do people not like using Space Engine textures for Kopernicus planets so much? Is it because they don't like how it doesn't quite jive with Stock? Is it because they think the planets are repetitive? And another question: Would anyone be interesting in a texture revamp for stock that used Space Engine worlds, or is that considered a dick move?
