  1. Once i saw @RixKillian do a post about his Spitfire, that reminded me, i was supposed to do a separate post of my spitfire some time a go. The Spitfire and Walrus replicas i will be posting here where created for @SaturnianBlue Battle of the Denmark strait project. Lets start with the spitfire shall we. And yes, i did actually land on the VAB roof without cheats or hyperedit. Flying instructions: During takeoff, push the nose down hard when you reach a speed of 23 m/s. If you don't do this, you will flip over and crash. Same goes with flying, don't pull up too hard or fly too slow or, again, you will flip over. But, you can recover pretty fast. Top speed: 110 m/s Stall speed: 23 m/s Length: 14.9m Wingspan: 12m Height: 5.1m Mass: 9.5 tons Parts: 165 I can safely say that this thing is pretty super manouverable, at least in terms of pitch. Roll on the other hand is very smooth and responsive. It's also very stable with and without SAS on. The Walrus on the other hand doesn't like to fly at all, so that's why it's just a static prop that can be placed on a catapult for decoration. It has no engines and carries no fuel. I was challenged to make this have as low of a part count as possible, that's why some bits are very simplified. There it is for you, Two veterans of WW2 bot created by Supermarine. I hope you enjoy them . Mods: BD-armory for the cameras (removed from the downloadable version). 2. So, i got myself a copy of Star Fox Zero. Let's just say that i really, REALLY liked the game . And yes, i have played Star Fox 64 from start to finish about 30 times (N64 and emulator) and Fox mc Cloud is probably my second favorite video-game character ever (don't worry, it is but a coincidence). In the honor of this, i made myself an Arwing. IMPORTANT NOTE: You will need to put infinite fuel on to fly this thing. The fuselage of this one i based on the N64/Star Fox Zero version of the Arwing, but the wings and G-diffusers are custom. It was not an easy task to try and replicate the craft in Kerbal scale, since everything felt a little too big to fit properly. But, i think i did a pretty good job at replicating it. You be the judge of that. Alright, lets check our G-diffusers and let's rock and roll, and maby do some barre........ehm aileron rolls on the way. I guess we can safely say that the Arwing is quite durable and safe. NOTE: this thing needs to get to the end of the runway to takeoff. Don't do it in full speed tough, or you will hit the deck. Top speed: a little over Mach-1 in low altitude. Stall speed: 40 m/s Length: 11.5m Wingspan: 13.0m Height: 3.6m Mass: 9.64 tons Parts: 124 The Arwing is very solid and stable with SAS on and reasonably stable without SAS. It's also very manouverable and should give you a very smooth ride. And no, before you ask, i'm not going to make any of the other ships from Star Fox. I did think about maby making the Great Fox, but it would just be insane trying to make that in the same scale as the Arwing (it would have to be almost 200m long and let's not even talk about the part count of that thing). And there you have it, the Arwing MK-5. I hope you enjoy it . Download link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qv4q986gecmhu95/Arwing%20MK-5.craft?dl=0
  3. So, I have been doing a lot of big, complicated and overly laggy replicas. This time i Wanted to make something a little more simple and fun to fly. Over the course of this weekend, i made almost a dozen replicas of RAF jets. Currently this post has only smaller jets, but i will be making the V-bombers and the BAE Nimrod in the future. IMPORTANT NOTE: All crafts that are up for download will be fully stock even if they are armed and painted in the picks. If you want the painted and armed versions as well, just ask and i will put them up too. For this project, i was looking for British built aircrafts, so no RAF painted US built aircrafts are included, those are for another day. The reason why i chose British built jets is: I haven't seen almost any of them around here on the forums, there are way too many USAF eagles, hornets, falcons, tomcats, warthogs and USSR fulcurums, fishbeds and flankers. Plus, i really like the more unique design asthetics of British designs. That aside, i,m not going to build every single RAF jet out there, but i will most of them. List of crafts: These are going to be in the order of how i built them. 1. English Electric Lightning: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kslzumfbbc2inju/English%20Electric%20Lighting.craft?dl=0 2. Supermarine Swift: https://www.dropbox.com/s/b9kdi03ftnx6yj6/Supermarine%20Swift.craft?dl=0 3. Gloster Javelin: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ka5af4p12gv6kw5/Gloster%20Javelin%20%28Stock%29.craft?dl=0 4. Hawker Hunter: https://www.dropbox.com/s/buljyi4e2nauq95/Gloster%20Meteor%20%28Stock%29.craft?dl=0 6. Sepecat Jaguar: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hb1pk0gc051rc55/Sepecat%20Jaguar.craft?dl=0 7. De Havilland Vampire: https://www.dropbox.com/s/85qm6iapyw4h2xd/De%20Havilland%20Vampire.craft?dl=0 8. De Havilland Sea Vixen: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zox8nxed0l7thcm/De%20Havilland%20Sea%20Vixen.craft?dl=0 9. TSR 2: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jrol5byp6wrgrvm/TSR%202.craft?dl=0 10. Hawker Seahawk: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tqpedxw8ypn9r75/Hawker%20Seahawk.craft?dl=0 11. Fairey Gannet (uses Firespitter prop engines): https://www.dropbox.com/s/0ow0xvudspz64fp/Faery%20Gannet.craft?dl=0 Aircrafts for the future: 1. Panavia Tornado 2. Handley Page Victor 3. Avro vulcan 4. Vickers Valiant 5. BAE Nimrod 6. English Electric Canberra There is lot's to do still. NOTE: if there are any RAF aircrafts you would like to see me build, i'm open for requests, as long as it's post WW2 and British built. NOTE: I can tell you right of the bat, that none of these replicas are perfect in terms of there accuracy (you be the judge of that). But i am very pleased with all of them. All of the aircrafts have good manouverability (some are almost super manouverable), but none of them can go Mach 1. Also, they all have Very good STOL capabilities (takeoff at around 30-50 m/s for all of them) and they all have a stall speed of around 30-50 m/s. All right lets begin shall we. First up we have the English Electric Lightning, Britain's only Mach 2 interceptor. This aircraft is pretty much as unique as it can get in terms of it's design (stacked engines and weird but cool looking wings). I have to say that it turned out quite alright in terms of its design and performance. Considering that i had to stack up to 4 fuel tanks on top of each other making it more heavy. Top speed: 180-190 m/s Parts: 76 Mass: 8 tons Dimensions: 10.6m x 8.9m x 4.7m Supermarine Swift. I can tell you right away that the wings where a pain in the ass to replicate, i,m still not too happy with the result, but i think they are ok looking. It was designed as an interceptor but was later on used for foto reconnaissance in witch it our did most foreign designs. Top speed: 160 m/s Parts: 97 Mass: 8.1 tons Dimensions: 13.2m x 13m x 4.7m Gloster Javelin. A British designed night and all-weather interceptor that was the last aircraft to bear the name Gloster. There isn't much to say about this one, it's a solid design that works. Top speed: 260-270 m/s Parts: 74 Mass: 11 tons Dimensions: 14.3m x 13.5m x 4.3m Gloster Meteor. Britain's First jet fighter and the only operational allied jet during WW2. For this design i built a custom cockpit. Replicating the rudder for this one proved to be very hard, it's very messy, the pod is too big, but i think its alright. (You can see on the fifth pick, that i ran out of fuel after 10 minutes of flying around, i had loaded 200 units of fuel). (The version i was replicating was the one with more rounded wingtips). NOTE: the stock version is a taildragger (no guns and radomes on the nose to weigh it down), so remember to push your nose down on before taking off. Top speed: 160 m/s Parts: 151 Mass: 9 tons Dimensions: 13.3m x 14.1m x 4.4m Hawker Hunter. A Fighter-bomber and reconnaissance aircraft that was later on used as a Trainer aircraft (twin-seater versions). Top speed: 250-260 m/s Parts: 75 Mass: 7.3 tons Dimensions: 14m x 9.8m x 4.1m SEPECAT Jaguar. Propably the hardest one to replicate, but witch i think turned out the best in terms of looks. I also included Ejector seats, witch as you will see are not that great. The "Jaag" (Jeremy Clarkson) of the skies Was an Anglo-French designed close-support aircraft that was made for reconnaissance and tactical nuclear strike roles. At first, the building of the fuselage was really confusing (the intakes especially) but after a bit of messing around i got the hang of it and all went smooth. I went for the Twin-seater version of the aircraft instead of the single-seater. In terms of specs, this one is the least capables, it's slow, it's not that manouverable and it doesn't like to fly straight without SAS on. Top speed: 100 m/s Parts: 263 (doesn't run 60 fps) Mass: 15.8 tons Dimensions: 16.8m x 14.4m x 4.6m De Havilland Vampire. A jet fighter that was primarily used as a Trainer jet. This one was the most quickest one to build. Top speed: 140 m/s Parts: 90 Mass: 6 tons Dimensions: 10.9m x 13.4m x 3.2m De Havilland Sea Vixen. A carrier based fleet defense fighter. Again, the design for this one is very unique indeed but very good looking in a strange way. Making of the vertical stabilizer was a bit of a challenge and ended up looking a bit wrong. Also the offset cockpit prohibited me from making a round nosecone. But all and all, it ended up looking pretty good. You can also see from the picks that for testing this aircrafts carrier worthiness, i built a 400m long aircraft carrier. But instead of doing that i ended up creating the Koudini (from Danny 2462's videos) of carriers. Pick 10: now you see me, pick 11: and now i'm gone. Plus, the fact that i had to use whack a Kerbal to slow it down and a boatload of cheats wasn't helping either. Top speed: 160-170 m/s Parts: 150 Mass: 15.5 tons Dimensions: 18m x 19.3m x 6.1m TSR-2. A strike and reconnaissance aircraft that was cancelled and only had a single flying prototype out of the 3 complete examples. I'm not too happy about the way this one ended up looking, it feels like everything is a bit off, the fuselage, wings and the cockpit. But, it is pretty super manouverable and can carry a lot of weapons under the wings, making it the perfect bomber. You can see from the first pick that this aircraft has the amazing ability to do tight turns using only the rudder. Top speed: 110-120 m/s Parts: 234 Mass: 22.3 tons Dimensions: 22.1m x 18.5m x 7.4m Hawker Sea Hawk. A carrier borne jet-fighter. Top speed: 190 m/s Parts: 76 Mass: 7.5 tons Dimensions: 12.6m x 14.3m x 3.5m And here comes the last one for today and propably my favorite, The Fairey Gannet, a carrier borne submarine hunter. This one is the most manouverable of the bunch and easily the most fun one to fly. But you do need Firespitter tough. Top speed: 100 m/s Parts: 81 Mass: 9 tons Dimensions: 11.9m x 14.6m x 4.5m And, that is it for now, more will be coming up later so stay tuned. I hope you enjoy this little replicas of mine .

Have you noticed how, as you reach the higher tiers of career mode, your ships inevitably end up looking more and more awesome? This is my current career mode mission: the contract was to put a 12 Kerbal station carrying 6000 liquid fuel and a research lab into an orbit around Gilly. I call it the Gilly Superstation, because I'm not very good with names. That's it in the middle: the thing that looks like a cross between a station and a giant space shuttle. I'm not sure why I went for that cockpit, but I don't regret it for a moment. The whole mothership is going to be trying to achieve three other missions while it's there: * the little Xenon Probe at the very front will be aiming for a specific contract orbit, also around Gilly. * the winged return module will be bringing 5 of 7 Kerbals home after they've planted a flag on Gilly for experience. The other 2, both scientists, will be staying at Gilly Station 1 to continue their research. * The Gilly Superstation itself, after achieving the contract, will use some of that spare fuel to put itself into a polar orbit about Gilly and do a surface scan. Further down the track, once work out how mining bases work, Gilly Station 1 will be the primary refueling base for all Eve missions. I spent about 80% of my funds on this monster, so it had better work. It's got some odd phantom forces coming from the return module and trying to make it pitch gently, but it's quite stable so long as SAS is left on.
  6. Album Link: http://imgur.com/a/BkoFn This is my first post on here, and I'm only 50 hours into this game but I've spent many times that watching amazing things this community has built. Funnily enough this is my first plane design that is fully 100% stable and can reach the upper stages of the atmosphere before burning out. It cruises at about 380 km/s in the lower atmosphere while maintaining full control and responsiveness. It also has enough fuel to carry a single Kerbal around Kerbin twice at full throttle. Plus as a bonus you can detach the main engines in the front to RP as Sebulba! I like it because it feels like a podracer, its turns are a little bit slower but it makes up for it with amazing spin control. What do you guys think? Any tips for screenshotting, making the build better, or just any feedback? I'd love to see what you guys think of my weird little thing I've built. Thanks!
  7. I'm in the process of creating a new set of beginner guides for version 1.1. The latest episode is here and the playlist here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLY4XNTtbpFqinD1Mjxyl43Ymlf0Du_Awn Thanks again (and again and again) to Squad for a great educational game. Always so much to learn. I truly do believe that many great engineers and future NASA/SpaceX employees will be employing people that started off loving this game. Would love everyone's feedback on the channel. Please do subscribe if you like (as I'd love to keep creating this content).
  8. These are the stock versions of the craft used in my short film Cold War Blackbird, during the film they were painted, had decals applied and some had BD Armory systems. Otherwise the craft were stock. Cold War Blackbird is a short film set in 1972 in an alternate Kerbal universe over the country of Kerbitnam. All the craft were from that time period in our universe but as far as I know no MiG 25's ever flew in Vietnam. However all the other craft were in Vietnam during that period. Where possible the planes have performance similar to their real counterparts. There are also ground vehicles and other accessories all stock. It was filmed in 1.05 and no effort has been made to update these craft to 1.1 yet. I would share the film versions but the changes would be difficult to replicate. You can see the film here -> Download Renders: @Starwhip did a nice render for me, thank you. 9. Long ago, back when buildings first became destructible, I made a big missile launcher that shot Kickbacks, to destroy KSC. Having nothing else to do and with a clean stock 1.1 installation, I decided to updated it. After all, engines have been tweaked, the atmosphere has changed, wheels now need huge amounts of power, and all that. After a fair amount of work, I got it where I like it The key, of course, is making the missiles fly more or less straight and horizontally. This requires careful use of Sepratrons, thrust limiters, and fuel tweaks. The 1.1 missiles don't fly quite as straight as the old version but they're good enough to hit buildings. The missiles can reach nearly 400m/s although it sometimes appears that hitting at lower velocity actually does more damage. But OTOH, buildings appear to have some places where they're most vulnerable and it's possible to drop any building with a single hit. Usually, however, it takes several. Anyway, I present the Geschosskopf Rampage! Drop box link for craft file: Action Group 2: Toggles ladders (sometimes needed to repair wheels) Action Group 5: Toggles fuelcells. Do this immediately upon spawning if you want to move. And some pics of it in action. Here's the beast launching from the runway spawn point. And a missile just prior to impact. As you can see, the missiles fly pretty straight. And are accurate enough to hit relatively small targets reliably, such as the telescope dome of R&D. This is facilitated by the use of an antenna for a sight. If you get close enough, you can feel the blast wave when missiles hit and buildings fall. Anyway, sometimes it's fun just to go on a rampage and level KSC. Enjoy.
  10. This is now my first official build in 1.1 (not that anyone cares). I wanted to have a go at creating a cargo aircraft that actually works really well and has less than 200 parts. And i did just that, and even more. You might be asking that why now, why create a low part count plane now that we have a chance of creating really big and complicated crafts. you'll find out. On with the aircraft itself. I got partly inspired by the stock Stearwing A300 and also by all the bugs on the previous build of KSP. Basically the bugs on that version made it impossible to build really big aircrafts because the wings fall off, nor could we make small crafts because the landing gears spazz out. With those issues in mind, i created a smaller than usual cargo-plane. At first i tested to see that does the Stock craft still work, after this test tough, i noticed that........wait a second, the space-plane hangar floor isn't weird anymore, wings aren't falling off and the medium gear wasn't spazzing out. I went to the main menu and noticed that it was a new build of KSP. Yes, the game got updated and the new version has fixed the bigger bugs. The aircraft is quite the beast indeed. It's not as big as most of my designs but is big enough to full-fill pretty much any role ever. Performance wise it does really well. Top Speed: 280 m/s Cruising speed (2/3 thrust): 200 m/s Minimum takeoff speed: 45 m/s Stall speed: 50 m/s Length: 39.1m Wingspan: 38.1m Height: 10.4m Mass: 69,9 tons Parts: 175 Carrying capacity: propably around 80 tons of cargo. The aircraft is very easy to fly and feels very responsive with or without SAS on. It's made to full fill various different roles: 1. Cargo-plane. 2. Troopship (soldiers and their stuff). 3. bomber. It does have a bomb-bay believe it or not, right after the crew tank. Versions for the future: 1. Tanker aircraft. Just need to modify one of my fighters and do some testing after that. 2. AWACS. need to get BD-armoury back. 3. Gunship. See above. Mainly we use this aircraft with our newly developed pallet system. But our commandos are have also started to use it, since it can carry 16 commandos, their stuff, a scout vehicle, and some bombs and other support weapons. So, not only can it transport them into the field it can also do some damage itself. The pallet system. Here is the main cake itself, a fully working and reliable pallet system for all your tactical airdrop needs in rough terrain/situations. It pretty much allows you to drop anything into the field without needing to land the plane itself. It comes in two main variants: 1: the standard cargo pallet. This one is used for carrying all kinds of cargo to the field and even more, like for example: fuel, crew, science equipment etc. These are just some examples i've made. You can make your own to suit your needs. You just have to detach the end panel and replace the middle with anything you can fit. I don't suggest making them any longer than that tough, there might be a lot of issues involved. I think, that in theory, this could also be used for Duna missions as well (you need to attach some drogue shutes), but i'm not sure. 2. Rover pallet. You can load small rovers into this one. I built this one around the rover that i made. sadly the rover could not be turned into a subassembly. Because of this, i built a cargo-aircraft around the pallet in around 10 minutes. NOTE: the attachment node in this one is the small strut on top of the panel, not the separator. INSTRUCTIONS. 1. You will need to attach a separator to the cargo-bay attachment node and then the pallet to that. Please put on the end of the cargo-bay. 2. Some struts might be nice, to keep the thing from wobbling around. 3. Remember to make an action group for the pallets landing gears, if they are retracted during drop, things will explode. 4. Always remember to point your nose slightly up, or otherwise your plane will plummet to the ground, and your pallet will hit the roof of the cargo-bay and things will explode. 5. A slower speed will always help, but i have been able to make successful drops with the rover pallet at speeds of up to 200 m/s. 6. The rover pallet will always land on it's side because of the placement of the parachutes. To fix this, it has vernor thrusters, so use them keep the thing straight. 7. After touch down, tell the pallet to recover itself, otherwise you will be stuck inside the pallet. NOTE: More versions of the aircraft coming later on. KSB-15 scout buggy: As a bonus, i'm adding this one here as well. It has a tendency to want to flip over when doing high speed turns, also the wheels explode more than enough. Plus it's not that great at high speed, but it does look pretty cool tough We just welded together the front end of a very old V-12 racing car and the back-end of a more modern military scout buggy. There it is for you, the KTP-120 TaskMaster, an aircraft for many roles. i hope you enjoy it . Download link: Comes with all the versions and all the different pallets (only subassemblies). It also, as a bonus has the KSB-15 scout buggy. KTP-120 TaskMaster: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l6g8ozntk4ak6ob/KTP-120%20TaskMaster.zip?dl=0
  11. This is the KSS Voyager, it's mission to boldly go where many Kerbals have gone before, just better. It is a completely stock MK3 spaceplane that can single stage to orbit from Kerbin and any smaller worlds. It can land like a regular plane in atmosphere or also VTOL on any rocky body in the system, I think even Tylo (not tested yet, I'll get back to you). It can refuel itself and return to Kerbin again. I even think it can SSTO, land again and then SSTO again (again not tested, the dV is there though). It is super easy to SSTO on Kerbin, almost boring you could say. Below is a video showing ascent from Kerbin and descent on Duna, enjoy. I hope @SpaceplaneAddict gets a chance to test it for SCF this week. To SSTO from Kerbin, Rapiers on and full pelt for the end of the runway, don't bother trying to lift off before your wasting time and fuel, before the end of the runway, RCS on for a little helping hand, it's not strictly necessary but you will save yourself a few heart pounding moments, then full up just before you leave the runway. Keep the nose rising until you can stabilise at the 15' mark, RCS off. Leave it there until about 5000m, if you have not broken 400ms by now shallow out a bit to about 5' until you have and then steepen to 10'+ and let it go. It's a pretty hands off operation. You should reach around 1000ms by 10km, if not shallow a bit, if so let it go, let it go, I have two girls can you tell? Now you want to keep rising and go as fast as possible by 20km, at 20km get ready to hit action group 1. You should be lined up just above the prograde marker by now, right click one of the rapiers and check the thrust, it will be dropping past 200kn by now. Keep an eye on your speed it's probably still ticking over multiple digits, when it slows to ticking over single digits it's time to switch mode on the rapiers with action group 1, probably at about 23km. Change your SAS to follow the prograde marker and wait for you apoapsis to hit the desired height. Personally I don't want to run out of oxidiser because I might need it to land on another world so about 82km seems about right. Once you have reached over 50km in height and drag is not an issue action group 2 to open the rear bay and ramp, action group 3 to turn on the nukes, action group 4 to turn off the rapiers. You should only have at most a couple of hundred ms to circularise and we can do this on the nukes, it's about a minute and a half burn. You can deploy the radiators with action group 5 before turning the nukes on. I have found that timewarping instantly heats the radiators up, I don't know why, don't worry they will be OK for the burn. Excellent! Now you are in orbit you need to decide where to go, with 3200ms you can go a lot of places. PSA you want to land on fairly flat terrain, sloping slightly downwards or upwards is fine as long as it is not sideways. Download Action Groups 1. Switch Mode on Rapiers 2. 13. I got inspired by @Columbia's neat B-24 Liberator to make something in the same style. So, i created the B-17, B-24's well known brother, of sort. Since this is my absolute favourite aircraft of all time (from the real world), i could bore you with technical stuff about the real aircraft, but i think we all know what the B-17 flying fortress is, and what it does. I think that this time i will let the album do the talking for me since the aircraft has a little under 800 parts in it and is very, Very laggy. So i can't give you any accurate specs (other that dimensions and part count). NOTE: I am working on making the Swedish passenger aircraft version of this. It has a pointy unglazed nose, witch means it can be made with a fairing (should help me shave of about 250-300 parts). EDIT: Making a nose out of a fairing is not really going to work afterall, since it would eat half the windsield and the whole cockpit. Here comes the edited new version. I redid the engines, put ladders on the bomb-bay for crew entry and redid the elevators to look more accurate. NOTE: I had to make the main gears bigger using tweak scale since they where so stubby that: The takeoff distance increased and the ball turret on the belly of the aircraft broke off. And, because it just had to be done, i also made a modded version with Firespitter engines and real squadron colors. It is slower than the stock version (4 x 70kn of thrust instead of 4 x 125kn) and for some reason seems to have less lift (the floor of the interior was made out of wings). It also has 200 less parts but the same amount of lag. And because i felt like i needed a version of the B-17 that works, i created the B-17 Lite. Don't tell the boss that its actually just a larger version of a store bought r/c plane. There is actually a bomb-bay big enough to fit a BD-armoury warhead installed. You can fly this aircraft at 45% thrust for forever, aka meaning that this aircraft has unlimited range. The Lite version is tons of fun to fly and best of all, it isn't laggy at all. I wanted to make the full scale version as realistic as possible (didn't care about the scale too much). I think it looks pretty darn accurate (you be the judge of that). The original idea was to make a full interior, but because the rear fuselage is pretty much empty, i just made it with a fairing instead of using radiator panels. The biggest thing that needs fixing at this moment (other than the part count) is the elevator, it should be way more thin. HELP: it would really help me if someone could tell me how to do custom engine cowlings with fairings. I know how to make fairings but don't know to get them to not be closed from the tip. EDIT: i figured it out, so no help is needed anymore. I was actually planning to make an armed version with machineguns and infernal robotics powered turrets, but i taught it would be useless since you can't really aim with the guns. Length: 37m Wingspan: 54m Height: 10m Part count: 778 (stock) 595 (modded) and 168 (Lite version). Top speed: about 90 m/s (stock), about 70 m/s (modded) and 116 m/s (Lite). Minimum takeoff speed: about 50 m/s for all versions. NOTE: This project will get updated at some point. So, there will be more technical specs coming when i can make a version that is way less laggy. EDIT: Even my modded version witch has 200 less parts is still as laggy as the stock version. It propably has something to do with the poly count of some parts being way more bigger, in turn causing more lag. And because i just removed a whole bunch of small parts, it didn't help much. I hope you enjoyed looking at this replica of my all time favorite aircraft . Mods: Nebula decals, Tweak scale (stock and modded versions only) and Firespitter (modded and lite versions only). 14. So I made a Raptor replica, I hope you guys like it. All the info is in the craft description. THIS CRAFT REQUIRES NO MODS. Make sure to give me some requests. I'll take the most requested or most liked one. http://www.mediafire.com/download/ap9y4o7kggq4cnr/Lockheed+Martin+F-22+Raptor.craft Has airbrakes! Happy holidays by the way.
  15. I admit I did virtually nothing original with it, all I did was improve the craft's symmetry and trim down its part-count. But I think the result is what the stock Kerbal X included in the game should be. https://kerbalx.com/Quixylvre/Kerbal-X

  17. Welcome to the Flaming Goat Foundry Works Showroom of Death-Defying Machinery! We're glad to have you! Take a look around! The Foundry produces everything from low-altitude short-range aircraft to low-altitude medium-range aircraft... All with one goal in mind: Awesomeness. Awesomeness and maneuverability. Two goals. Also wicked aesthetics. Awesomeness and maneuverability and wicked aesthetics. Three goals. IMPORTANT NOTE: The majority of these designs are barely tested and wholeheartedly awesome. OTHER IMPORTANT NOTE: Overexposure to awesomeness may induce transcendence and/or insanity. For the moment, the Foundry Works are dedicated to creating semi-rediculous aircraft for people who want to pull absolutly ridiculous stunts, or just have fun flying aircraft with far too many moving parts. Droptanks, canards, airbrakes, and VTOL engines are only four of the Foundry Works' specialties. Acronyms and bizarre wing configurations are another two. There are some more, but I can't list all of them. The Foundry Works has many, many specialties. The Foundry Works is getting in gear, and looking for requests. If you want an insane vehicle but don't quite posses the lobotomy arsenal of tools to build it, just let us know, and we'll hop right to it! Within a minimal amount of time and parts, you'll have exactly what you need. BEHOLD THE GAPWING DUAL-THRUST SCREAMJET! [Not available for download - I blew up the save file] Using the innovative reverse-thrust feature added in 1.05 the Foundry designed the Gapwing Screamjet. A semi-passenger plane with excellent low-altitude capabilities and four engines in the wing space of two. BEHOLD THE WHALE ST! DOWNLOAD IT FROM KERBALX! The supercharged younger brother of the almost-not-a-boat-plane that everyone doesn't know yet but already loves. Comes equipped with a QuickStart SRB for taking off really fast. There's no real practical purpose for having an SRB strapped to the underside of a plane, but that's the fun of it. BEHOLD THE WHALE XL! DOWNLOAD IT FROM KERBALX! The upscaled older brother to the very-nearly-not-a-boat-plane that everyone almost knows and doesn't quite love as much as the should. Comes with detachable wings for boat conversion (or semi-planned demolition) and more than enough space in the undercarriage for cargo drops (heh heh). BEHOLD THE WHALE! DOWNLOAD FROM KERBALX! It was intended to be a boat. Then the Foundry tied wings on it and tossed it into the air. Surprisingly it worked. Because of the unorthodox fuselage shape, it's easy to mount cargo (or SRBs) to the underside without unduly disturbing the CoM or drag. BEHOLD OUR SELECTION OF DROP ROVERS AND CARRY VEHICLES! [Not available for download - I killed this save file too - built on request] I can't dig up this particular design, but the Foundry put enough hours into this project to be able to replicate it in spirit, if not exactness. Rovers for extended journeys and large planes for their transport are Foundry Specializations #6 and #7. If any of of your test pilots are feeling the need... the need for a very long fall followed by more falling followed by some parachuting and then some driving, let us know and the Foundry will leap into action full-time, possibly double-time, to ensure that your order gets completed. If anyone wants to make requests, feel free! The Foundry is perfectly willing to build anything, but we specialize in bizarre, multistage aircraft.
  18. So, after recently seeing several beautiful custom dune buggy-style rovers on the forums, I decided to make my own. Meet the Badger ATV: It's a fast, rugged, and lightweight 4x4 All-Terrain Vehicle capable of tackling all sorts of off-road challenges (or even off-PLANET challenges)! Capable of taking severe damage from accidents and driving away functional, this rover's definitely quite durable!* *Warranty voided upon use off-road. Other features include full LV-1R-tech suspension, a custom-designed roll-cage frame, a functional brakelight, a massive engine radiator for impressing the gearheads you know, and twin nitrous oxide boost engines in the rear (LV-1Rs). You can get your Badger ATV for the low, low price of FREE! Download here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vw9fs6goki1fibo/Badger%20ATV.craft?dl=0 Action Groups: 1- Toggles boost engines on/off. 2- Toggles on/off the small reaction wheel in the engine block (left on by default to help stabilize the buggy during high-speed driving). 3- Toggles steering locks on the rear wheels. Enjoy!
  19. So this is the place I will consolidate many of my crafts that I post to the forum. SEP-1 Series This is a series of suborbital rockets, mainly focused on a realistic aesthetic and development process. I am in cambodia with terrible wifi, and because there is ~20 diffrent models and upgades, this may be posted a bit later. SEP-1 The first version of the rocket. Sports a small LES and an LVT-45 with an small fairing. http://imgur.com/bd0yvSu https://www.dropbox.com/s/sq37fshv8mhvmpu/SEP-1.craft?dl=0 SEP-1B The second version of the rocket. Features a lower stage stretched by ~1.5m. The LES is modified to improve functionality. http://imgur.com/siDHfqf https://www.dropbox.com/s/ewx9yzas6jyyye8/SEP-1B.craft?dl=0 SEP-1C adds an extra clamp at the top of the rocket. http://imgur.com/65xRltU https://www.dropbox.com/s/pwdftl9ag8nf14l/SEP-1C.craft?dl=0 SEP-1D Fixes fuel flow issues and adds (100% prettiness based) gimbaling hydraulics. http://imgur.com/7vUVNGc https://www.dropbox.com/s/4p4yrdhzta2tmn0/SEP-1D.craft?dl=0 SEP-1E Moves one of the clamps to the other side of the rocket to solve seperation issues. Underwhelming, I know :/ http://imgur.com/7Y8hOjP Sorry folks, im all out of time, so here is the download for the entire series: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/il2v5d37ek7gopr/AAAPBQz0oEp6-dluJY5fDVPqa?dl=0 ME-293 A 100% fictional jet fighter aircraft, made in a late-war german style. Top speed is ~200m/s at 1000m with each engine producing 10.5kn of thrust(65 thrust limiter for more realistic performance.) Max climb angle with 10.5kn (About jumo 004 max thrust) per engine: ~17 degrees. Max speed in vertical dive from 6000m to 1000m is ~304m/s. There are two small bulges under the cockpit in order to hold more fuel and Mk103/108 cannons. The monopropellant is kept in the cockpit to represent the weight of the guns ammunition. Here is a download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/:/ME-293.craft?dl=0 KS2X 'Uno' This is a early-modern jet fighter based around a US military project that involved fitting two modified jets into a single fuselage in a line. One of the results of this would be that the US military wouldn't have a repeat of the PO-2 (1920's soviet biplane cropduster used as a bomber, credited with the only biplane-to-jet air kill, when an starfighter jet (?) slowed down too much to engage one, and the aircraft stalled and crashed) in Korea situation, where the enemies aircraft was so slow, the fast jets couldn't get their guns on it because the aircraft could run at low and high speeds. The first jet was modified to run as cool as possible, and the second was reinforced against heat. An afterburner was also included. A later model had the first engine being capable of rotating the fan blades horizontal to the airflow, in order to allow only the back jet to be run for long haul cruises. To replicate this programs planned result, I clipped two engines together, cause it seemed cool to include this. The project was rejected because of the need for brand new airframes that scared the aerodynaisicts (is this a word???!!!) cause of the length of the engine and need for a lot of fuel. The action groups are 1 for afterburners, 0 for one engine off, 9 for the other engine off. Abort for drogue parachute. There are two 100 LF drop tanks under the wings. http://imgur.com/94w0rCg Here is a download:https://www.dropbox.com/s/kp20izxpaqupykv/KS2X%20%27Uno%27.craft?dl=0 KA-55 Perigrine This aircraft is an ww2 style prop plane, with an engine inside an openable cowling just for looks. It has a crappy turn radius, and a even worse top speed (ww2 you see). Action groups are 1 for flaps, 5 for opening cowling, six for closing it. Top speed ~100m/s in a test that took <1min and 1300m. http://imgur.com/J4StW7Z Here is the download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wuluaoy8ttqhx7u/KA-55%20Perigrine.craft?dl=0 A2K366 Bomber This aircraft is a two-engine modern schnellbomber (fast bomber) with two turbo-ramjets. This model carried two unguided, gyro-stabilized .625m diameter rockets externally, attached to the fuselage. This plane is pretty, fast and decently turning, but the energy retention is a war crime. It reeeeeaaaallly low wing loading too. http://imgur.com/We5g3WG Here is a download:https://www.dropbox.com/s/yswkfidvqpobhjc/A2K3366%20Bomber.craft?dl=0 Kerbolev Civ. The version in the download cannot take off from water with the construction load, but in can use the land wheels to lift off. Without too much cargo, the aircraft takes off fine from the water. http://imgur.com/3k49WyY Here is a download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8jbatcf7w28puqt/Kerbolev%20CIV_%20DIV_-2.craft?dl=0
  20. I saw an earlier work of a F35 swivel jet and thought I'd have a go at such a design. I never tried the F35 craft file so this was developed independently and I'm not sure if it works the same way. Goes from vertical to horizontal flight and back again. Engine rotation can be controlled when there's no forward or backward momentum. When RCS runs out or turned off, it becomes as a stunt plane, able to hover upside down while the pilot gets some fresh air outside the cockpit. Skip to 1:30 for the main part. Just another video showing specs, takeoff, and landing. [Download]
  21. Well, I was bored tonight after 25 attempts at landing my Tylo Lander. Got it down on the 25th. After that testing ordeal, I decided to pull out and do a Mun Mission. Something nice and Classic. Be warned, this is Image Heavy! Part I-The trip there. The Ares 1-x only flew once, but it is still one of my favorite launches. I've recreated it plenty in KSP, so I thought, why not strap my latest Mun lander to a (sorta) Arex 1-x. Thus: Mun Mk1 was born. I set the 9 Kickback Solid Rocket Boosters to 70 each, and I had clipped reaction wheels into the adapter above the 8 boosters. I was really hoping the 70 would lead to a nice ascent path with an early gravity turn. It curved well and I ended up about 200 Kilometers above Kerbin. Personally, I think such an orbit is too high for a mission like this. Once I was in Orbit, I blew the fairings, showing the lander. I've used it many, many times before. This is version 6 or 7. I've used it as my standard late save lander since I updated to 1.0.5. It basically is my spin on the Altair Lander. This one comes with extra battery power in the ascent stage, two docking ports in case one is lost (somehow), and inline reaction wheels clipped inside. Works like a charm. Time to see if it will work on this mission. I was considering who to Bring on this mission, as it was the first of this "creative" save. I wanted Jeb to be on the Mun, with Val in orbit. After much consideration, I chose Bob, as I didn't have anything to construct in this version. The three of them rocketed off a few mornings later. The atmospheric sunrise was brilliant. I should have kept Scatterer installed for a little while. I use it on and off. It probably would have made this mission really cool. After a bit, I fired the escape tower and ditched the first stage. The second stage gave me a 5.3 Kilometer "flyby" of the lander. Of course, as always, my second stage didn't preform as well as I wanted it too. I think I need second stage construction classes now. It's bugging me. I used the RCS quite a lot during the docking. I didn't want to use more than 1/8 of my fuel. By the time I had pulled next to the lander, I had used most of my RCS and about 1/7 of my fuel. Dangit! I docked the two, now ready for the Mun, and watched the first solar eclipse of this save. They would move on to the Mun in the Morning. After a bit of time warping, I pressed Z and shot towards the Mun. The sunrise looked great, although it would have looked better with Scatterer. I've got that thought stuck in my head, haven't I. At about 2,600 m/s the departure stage ran out. Uh oh. I thought about what to do. I had refilled the return spacecraft, and the lander's tanks were all full. Eventually, I decided to fire the lander's engines. I was a bit late to catch the Mun on this orbit. They would have to wait 3 more to get to it. Oh well. Immortal Kerbals won't mind this. I once again decided to use the lander's engines to enter orbit. I drained 1/2 of my return capsule fuel to assist this. The lander still had half its fuel left so it was go for landing. Jeb and Bob said their goodbyes to Val, promised to get her some rocks, and then undocked and fired retrograde. With no landing target in mind, I took a random descent to the surface. The Thrust to Weight ratio of this thing is quite high, so I waited until I was relatively low to start the suicide burn. Ok, maybe a bit too low. I did use the TWR to pull up, and ended up plopping down somewhere around -6.8115 and 72.1362 (according to Kerbal Maps) in the East Crater. Not my favorite part of town, but since I played random, beggars can't be choosers... Also, you can't see Kerbin. Yipee! How fun. Soon after I landed though, I saw these two nice rocks and decided to hop between them. That's it for it today guys, thanks for reading. Part II tomorrow.

  24. I have made working, stock Wind Turbine and I think this is the first Wind Turbine posted on here! I hope you guys will enjoy this! I made two versions non-moveable and movable. Major credit to @JZ6 For the stock bearing, this would never happen if not for him. It is 213 parts. EDIT! I have now made one of those Old Fashioned Windmills they use on farms and stuff to pump out water. It has the same controls as the other Wind Turbine. Do NOT worry about the vehicle on the Moveable Old Fashioned Windmill as you can just recover the vehicle. Controls 1. press space to undock 2. then press '[' or ']' to cycle to the bearing, 3. Control rotation by pressing the keys 'e' or 'q' to spin the bearing! 4. Press space again to engage the SUPER SPEED ENGINES!!!
