  1. Do wormholes break the First Law of Thermodynamics? Here's the problem: Say Jeb wants to get up to the top of the VAB so he can parasail down. To do so, he takes his quad-taxi and flies up to the top. In doing so, he has increased his potential energy. Now, Bob, trying to stop Jeb, uses a wormhole with one end on the ground and the other on top of the VAB. In doing so, he has also increased his potential energy, but because he entered the wormhole and immediately popped out on top of the VAB, I'm not sure where the energy came from. Does this break physics, or this just normal?
  2. I am looking for a heat generation mod to use heat sinks to remove heat (since they are useless now and are only used in low solar orbit). I mean, any part is heated by the sun, the human body emits heat and computers too. Large radiators are installed on the ISS to remove heat, but in KSP it is possible to build a space station without radiators or with one radiator, and this will be enough. In my opinion, this is not correct. I would like to find a way that corrects this by adding the mechanics of heat generation (in all parts) depending on the proximity to the sun and the presence or absence of the atmosphere.
  3. I was reading an article (link below) on Reversing the thermodynamic arrow of time using quantum correlations. Bottom line of the paper from my understanding is the 2nd law of thermodynamics is reversed under certain conditions. It isn't a violation of the 2nd law as the particles have to be correlated and in the presence of a magnetic field. (2nd law does not cover this.) What do you guys think to the significance of the work and what future questions would like answering? I know this isn't spaceflight per say but very significant in this area of physics which of course makes spaceflight/travel possible for us mere humans(and kerbals:)) General article https://m.phys.org/news/2017-12-arrow-relative-concept-absolute.html Full paper can be found here https://arxiv.org/pdf/1711.03323.pdf
  4. apparently there appears to be some errors in the neowise survey, such as not accounting for the albedo of the asteroid, seems like a bit of an issue. http://arxiv.org/abs/1605.06490 discuss
  5. Portal is used to feed magic container, that has hole of one meter size. Could be dug deep with magic pipe tunneling hot compressed matter outside to prevent thrusting away from place. Once hot matter is out, what happens to surroundings? For example this matter has composition, pressure and density of Venus atmosphere on surface or gaseous core of gas giant/star. On other hand it could be vacuum cleaner or just drain water from marina trench. Container is magic, so matter source is constantly replenished and there is no energy loss during matter transportion trough pipe. Once matter is outside normal physics resume as in good old XKCD Whatif
  6. KSP AJE mod allows engines to run at up to 5 mach and 25 kilometers, KSP Interstellar mod allow higher speeds and altitudes for air breathing mode. What are limits for real world good old propeller / turbofan / turbojet / ramjet / scramjet / future (KSPI Interstellar) engines?
