  1. How I built the ship: I put 3 medium docking ports on the XL engine plate in symmetry so that they weren't touching. I then built 3 segments to a space station on them, one crew segment, one solar panel segment, and one structural segment for expansion. This then had an XL tank (the middle one) and L/XL orbital engine on it for the 2nd stage. The first stage was the XL long tank with a mammoth engine and 4 of the Medium Long SRBs (because this was heavy and I am horrible when it comes to fuel efficiency). The Problem: When in LKO (100km circular orbit), I attempted to undock the parts to reconfigure them in their less symmetrical form. All seems to work normally for a varying amount of seconds (3-10 seconds maybe), I have RCS controls and am moving the detached part away and starting to rotate. Then the segment will rubber band back to its original housing on the docking port, I will get a message saying the ship is out of fuel (each segment has a near full monoprop tank), the flight log will appear as if I just ended the flight, and everything still reports operational in the parts manager. Troubleshooting: I can keep trying this process over and over on the same flight to no avail Quick loading or restarting the game also didn't help. If I have the setting for requiring comms on, then the probes and their antennae will not have an option to connect them to KSC even when directly above it and a Kerbal is onboard the crew section. I turned off this setting and have control of the probe for testing after doing so. I've tried each of the sections and they all do the same thing. There is no part collision between the segments, I made sure they had sizeable gaps (as much as I could and still fit them in a fairing on the ride up). I have also tried setting the strength of the docking ports to 0% on all the docking ports to make sure it wasn't that I was just not moving away fast enough. Even when I tried undocking and then having the part speed away as fast as possible in the few seconds (I got a whole length of the ship away which was about 2 of the medium long trusses in length), it still snaps back. The snapping back is almost like quick loading, when far enough away it is teleporting back with no applied force. If I was close enough to it, the ship did seem to wobble slightly when it bounced back (though that might just have been my imagination).
  2. after loading quick save I cant seem to undock anymore. I tried to undock but the viacles are still atacked and I can cantrol them both. And after rebooting KSP 2 it even got wierder. I have some video's linked to show what happend The moment when it happend This happend after restarting KSP2
  3. No clue what is happening at all Here is a video of it happening - https://filebin.net/ixizcrprnljm71oz Error in console says "NullReferenceException" Similar issue I found on the bug tracker - https://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/issues/26190 Mods installed MechJeb 2 StageRecovery DockRotate KoS Docking Alignment Indicator Will report the bug on the bug tracker if no one can help, just don't want to go through disabling all mods. Both ships are stock parts.
  4. I have been fruitlessly trying to design a craft that would, in the same run, place a satellite in a polar orbit on Mun and also have a main, manned cockpit for other chores around the Mun. My issue arises when I decouple or undock the little satellite on top. When I used a stack separator the satellite did not become controllable. I selected the "debris" from Mission tracker, however it became offset to what seemed like a Mun's pole (way far from the original part) and it just fell straight to the ground. I, then, used a docking port (actually two, at first, but noticed they would become stuck, so decided to use just one!) and performed the decoupling using the port in Kerbin's suborbital flight. Now the satellite would first be controllable, however as soon as I moved back to the main craft it would just disappear. I am trying to understand what is happening: is this a bug with the game, am I incorrectly building such a craft or is there something else I'm not seeing? Game is vanilla, no mods, Steam under Linux. Version 1.11.0.3045. Otherwise no issues. In the accompanying image, the satellite is right on top of the Mk1 capsule (which is manned).
  5. Has anyone else experienced the following problem in the mission "Meet Me in Zero G": The "Undock NOW!" node will not activate for me. I can undock immediately after the dialog message instructions, with no result. after then waiting for a bit, the time since node activates, I get a 0.7 score multiplier, and the waypoint for KSC never activates. Removing the undocking node and replacing it with an identical one fixes it for me.
  6. In my Youtube series "Operation Minmus Landing" I sent the lander into low Minmus orbit the docked the return vehicle to it but it wouldn't even show the option to undock the the lander, does anyone know a solution to this (that doesn't involve destroying the docking ports)? here's a picture of the two joint spacecraft in minmus orbit with no option of undocking on either of the docking ports: https://imgur.com/9Axfe3G
  7. My version of KSP is 1.1.0 I Built and SSTO to mun, inside the SSTO there is a Mun lander that has the MK1-2 command pod along with it's own lander can, the docking port of the lander is the normal sized docking port, and the SSTO's docking port is the huge Sr docking port, (Remember the two crafts where built docked together) when i undocked the two crafts and did my mission, the docking ports refuse to dock back again. and yes i did try to rotate the lander several times, i also did smash into the port, AND also i did try to back away a few times. nothing worked so, anyone has an idea on how to solve this?
  8. At the moment in my kerbal career save i am trying to expand my space station around minmus. I have tbe first 1/4 of my circler section parked 140m away from my station. When i when to go get my module tug it didn't want to undock. I clicked undock in the menu for the docking port and the menu only shows enable/disable crossfeed and something else that i can't remember as i am in bed right now. The tug is still attached to the station and i can transfer crew in and out of the tug as if it were still attached to the station. I know that i can dock two spacecraft because i sent a probe with mechjeb on it to the same station. Can any of you help me? Its my first time on the forums so hello KSP forum:)
