  1. I have built a space shuttle and every time i revert to vab and make small changes i cant launch it again. the launch highlights when i click it but i stay in the vab
  2. KSP Version: 0.1.0.0.20982 Operating System and version : Windows 10 CPU and GPU models: Intel i5 10400F / GTX 1080 8gb Description of the bug. On the VAB while the sun is rising if the orthographic camera is activated one side of the vehicle it's gonna shine really bright (i think it happens too while the sun is on the top). Steps to Replicate Wait until sunrise > Activate orthographic camera Other Notes / Screenshots / Log Files (if possible..) Video: https://imgur.com/HSuNWgL
  3. Reproduce: 1. Take rover craft and try attach to inside of another craft. 2. If failed, try attach again. 3. If failed more than 10 times then probably something wrong. Black screen caused by game crash. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V3UFSFb-uF8q_fWFYDgxGMY9imHubsb-/view?usp=sharing
  4. Catflier126

    KSP2 bug

My non-stock vessels will take a long time to load when I enter the VAB. If I go on vessel selection menu, only the stock vessels will be there and I have to wait for my vessels.
  5. something that might be useful in the science colonies or interstellar update where you might not be able to make 5000 part crafts or base's so you would have 1 truss or panel that fits your length, instead of 50 parts to fit in that one area if you know what i mean the trusses could be extended only length wise and not increase in size or height, but have different sizes like you do now, xs, sm, md, lg and xl other post https://imgur.com/gallery/Vro8FA6
  6. Whenever I type m while naming a workspace the map opens, from there it goes into a weird state where its like the main menu except it thinks i am in flight
  7. In the FAB parts manager, the extra large parachute Mk16-XL is depicted with the "SM" tag.
  8. Fairings will have a seizure in the VAB when you turn on see through and a lot of the time when you separate them during flight they will bug out and one second will be behind you and the next they are right in front of you.
  9. KSP Version: 1.0.0.20892 Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 22H2 CPU: Intel Core i7-10700k @ 3.80GHz 3.79 GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti RAM: 32 GB DDR4 Description, expectation, observed and replication: The lower part of the shroud of an engine mount shrinks after undoing any edit in the VAB. The expected behavior is for the shroud to stay in the same shape as before the undo. The observed behavior is that it shrinks This can be replicated like the following images explain link to full imgur album: Fixes / workaround: Simply re-attach the lower part Other notes: DxDiag for devs: https://pastebin.com/iEgr95TT
  10. KSP 0.1.0.0.20892 Windows 10 Ryzen 7 5800H RTX 3060 Laptop In KSP 1 if you offset a part inside another part, you could clip the camera into your vehicle to select and grab it again. In KSP 2 this is no longer possible, you can clip your camera in but cannot select the part. Note that nothing stops you from offsetting a part inside another, so i'm not asking for anything cheaty, but once you do you cannot retrieve the part again. I rand into this issue trying to adjust my landing gear heights. Workaround is don't let go of a part if you offset it inside something
  11. I think we really need this ASAP because backward compatibility will become an issue later. It's a very important change and relatively easy to implement: In the Save / Load windows, replace the term "Vehicle" with "Project" (because some people build entire families / fleets of boosters as assemblies and these are not vehicles) Also, replace the term "Workspace file" with "Project workspace snapshot" In the Load window, replace "Load vehicle" with "Load project" AND put all "Project workspace snapshots" in a drop-down list specific for each Project save. This way we can have Projects be vehicles and then we can merge / import that vehicle Project Workspace Snapshot into another Project which is a fleet of vehicles (but we should be able to name these vehicles individually). Also, as stated above, it would be incredibly useful to be able to label (sub)assemblies and have them be a single group of parts which can be stacked and destacked. More details below: A Project should be a collection of vessels and assemblies (like a folder which holds crafts and (sub)assemblies). We should be able to label vessels and (sub)assemblies (groups of parts) inside the Project. Labeled craft / (sub)assemblies (groups of parts) should also save their own action groups and staging sequences. The assemblies should stay grouped together even if stacked on top of each other, so it's easy to destack them (stage, lander, return pod etc.). Working on parts of an assembly would require selecting that group.
  12. Version: 0.1.0.0.20892 Computer Specs OS: Windows 11 22H2 CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: Nvidia GTX 1660 6GB RAM: 16GB When moving a ship in the VAB, the panels on the sides can appear over the actual ship despite being behind it.
  13. System Info KSP Version: KSP2 Build ID 10624168 Operating System and version: Windows 11 / Version 22H2 CPU and GPU models: AMD 5800X / NVIDIA RTX 3700 / 32GB RAM Mods Installed: None Description of the Bug Expected Behavior: Thrust/Lift Indicator should appear on selected vehicle in a workspace Observed Behavior: Thrust/Lift Indicator appear on the original vehicle in a workspace. COM indicator works as expected. Steps to Replicate: Open thrust/lift on vehicle Create second vehicle Switch to it as the selected vehicle Fixes / Workarounds: NA
  14. When you hold an object the object delete button turns blue. When you then hover over it while having an object selected, it turns red and you can delete it. But when you quickly move the mouse over the button right after you clicked the object then it doesent turn red, but the trash can opening animation still plays

Expected Behavior: PArts will not fall off craft after landing on the moon going EVA and switching back to craft. Observed Behavior: All Parts fall off craft after landing on the moon going EVA and switching back to craft. Steps to Replicate: I landed on the moon, the ship came to rest on its side. I go EVA and switch back and forth to craft a couple of times - then all attached parts fell off. The fuel tanks stayed together though Fixes / Workarounds (if known..): reload saved game A list of ALL mods: none Other Notes / Screenshots / Log Files (if possible..) You need to provide a way to send you screen shots by copy/past or upload - all I see is URL and I don't think I should need to start a photo account to submit bugs - submitting bugs should not require I do so much - please make bug submittals an in game feature

  17. Basically the orbit path after loading into a save is just kinda gone so im not sure what to do also the camera is automatically and constantly switching. Lastly the final picture is just a simple spelling error in the settings menu of what should be VAB but instead is OAB gone

System Info KSP Version: KSP2 Build ID 10624168 Operating System and version: Windows 11 / Version 22H2 CPU and GPU models: AMD 5800X / NVIDIA RTX 3700 / 32GB RAM Mods Installed: None Description of the Bug Expected Behavior: Wing shouldn't be upside down when placed on "NCS 200" Observed Behavior: Wing is placed upside down when placed on "NCS 200" attached to the plane with mirror symmetry. This is specific to wing pieces and does not apply to stabilizers or control surfaces. Steps to Replicate: Open new workspace Build a plane in horizontal mode as shown in my recording using "NCS 200" and any wing part Fixes / Workarounds: Using stabilizer or control surface works as expected on "NCS 200" Recording of behavior: https://imgur.com/a/uKRTk2j

  20. KSP Version: 0.1.0.0.20892 Unmodded stock steam release Launched via stock launcher Subject: VAB - Orientation change, causes parts mounted on radial attachment points to pivot upon snapping to unrotated parts in other construct built in other orientation. Expected teams required: Gameplay Features: VAB // Orientations Behaviour Expected: When constructing something in horizonal alignment, then attaching a radial attachment point with a Docking port on it, and then rotating that construct into a vertical alignment, before trying to attach it to a vertically aligned secondary ship, with a side mounted docking ring, should connect the two docking rings as expected. Observed: The docking node on the selected (and earlier rotated ship) will pivot 90 degrees out of alignment with the selected ship and prevent the nodes from connecting. Reproduction Recreated in fresh empty campaign, but occurs in all instances. Probability: 100% (10/10 repro's) Steps: Start with a horizontal cockpit (Ref: shipA) and ensure the workspace is in horizontal orientation mode Attach a fuel tank behind it Attach a radial attachment point (Ref: radialA) below the fuel tank Attach a docking port (Ref: dockA) to radialA. Select the cockpit, and rotate the entire construct 90 degrees into a vertical alignment. Change the workspace into vertical orientation mode Place a new fuel tank somewhere as a secondary construct. (Ref: shipB) Attach a radial attachment point (Ref: radialB) to the side of the fuel tank on ShipB. Attach a docking port (Ref: dockB) to radialB. Pick up shipA, and attempt to connect it to shipB by attaching dockA with dockB. ERROR: When dockA snaps to dockB, dockA will pivot 90 degrees into the wrong orientation. Workaround: After the part (dockA) has snapped into the wrong orientation, pick it up (dockA), rotate it into the correct orientation, and reattach it to radialA. Then attempt to connect the two constructs together again and they will snap together as expected. Image/Video: https://imgur.com/a/UnikOQ7 Logfile: https://pastebin.com/aBAz7wrn Probably irrelevant but attached OS details regardless: Operating System: Windows 10, i7-6700k, GTX1070, 32gb Ram

Expected Behavior: Ability to load crafts, see previously seen crafts, and launch crafts Observed Behavior: Launch button does not work. saved crafts become invisible and inaccessible Steps to Replicate: Launch craft, Fixes / Workarounds: Close and relaunch game A list of ALL mods: N/A Other Notes:
  22. KSP Version 0.1.0.0.20892 Unmodded stock steam release Launched via stock launcher Operating System and version (Windows 10, Windows 11) Windows 11 CPU and GPU models, any other system information which could be relevant CPU: Intel i9-13900K GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT Description of the bug In the VAB the Additional Part Info doesn't show up when pressing Shift key which worked before. The functions does not come back in my program session for at least some hours. Expected Behavior When pressing the Shift-Key there should be a window showing additional details to the part one is looking at in VAB part selection window. There is a small desciption "Press shift key for additional information" indicating this and when program is initially started this works correctly. Observed Behavior Pressing Shift key does not show any effect at all Steps to Replicate Unknown, happens randomly Fixes / Workarounds (if known..) Restarting the program A list of ALL mods. If the list is long, please consider using a spoiler window. None Other Notes / Screenshots / Log Files (if possible..)
  23. I love that you're able to save multiple vehicles per workshop area. However, one thing I find very...messy and even amateurish-looking, the way that the game simply does a random screencap of the actual viewscreen at the moment of saving a craft file/workshop area. This leads to many unflattering angles and frankly extremely messy UI screengrabs that can make it nearly impossible to discern exactly what vehicle(s) are being saved. Instead, I'd like if the game could pull the craft file(s) and arrange them in some standardized fashion and create an image of the craft file in that standardized fashion, ideally I imagine from a dorsal (top-down) view of an aircraft, or a silhouette view of a rocket, not unlike how it all was in the original KSP. As it stands I can barely tell my craft files apart by appearance alone when half of the screen is taken up by the parts-picker and/or part-manager or similar, to say nothing of random unflattering angles you often get of the craft itself with this technique even when you have a relatively "clean" workshop space. As an example this is the kind of clutter I'm seeing in my craft files with every save. The way things are just looks messy and entirely unprofessional.
