  1. Hello everyone! The second patch for Kerbal Space Program: Enhanced Edition is live! This patch includes many bug fixes and improvements. We are also implementing new quality-of-life features taken directly from feedback provided by the community, such as the addition of Physwarp to the Radial Menu, the option to disable trim in the Mini-Settings, the inclusion of cursor speed settings, and more!   2. Help, I've just downloaded ksp enhanced edition on my Xbox one console and am having problems. Loading screen stutters but usually loads but has crashed twice. Once loaded I follow the on screen instructions and go on the following sequence of screens before ending on the the 4th screenshot "home screen" . I have taken shots of the screen on my phone but this will not let me attach them. If you need them you will need to either explain how to attach or provide an email for me to send to
  3. So for some of us, July 2016 seems like so long ago. Now we finally have what we have been promised, reworked from the ground up, A console friendly version of KSP. Did we get what we want? Did we get what was promised? I only had a chance to play with it for 20 mins last night so a few questions, Are the controls clunky or is it just me? I saw no launch button in assembly build and have to access it from the start menu. Is this intentional? Is there a Debug menu? wasnt that supposed to be part of the update? Auto-struts, is that was the Rigid assembly button it all about? i thought there was supposed to be more options than that? Still....pretty Shadows right?
  4. A few points of note now I've been playing with the patched release for a while. 1. the GUI 'freezes', typically for half a second to a second. Doesn't seem to be related to the complexity of the craft being controlled, but does get worse as the save library of active missions get larger. note this is not the game freezing, just the GUI not updating. e.g. you are moving the cursor to the left, the pointer freezes, then jumps to its new location. Its not game breaking, but it does make fine control awkward when the inputs freeze then get processed after a short delay. 2. in docking mode "rotation" control, either under RCS or reaction wheels do not function, linear controls are fine, but rotation means dropping out of docking mode, and out of "fine" control" mode. this is more of an irritant than #1 3. again in docking, seems roughly a 50-50 chance of docking working or the docking ports bouncing apart with some force and sending one or both craft spinning. not been able to identify a pattern to what causes this - has caused the abandonment of a couple of missions after a craft has been refuelled once but then the exact same tanker is unable to refuel a second time. 4. have had issues with fuel transfer, its not decouplers or anything specific, just seems occasionally one or two tanks will decide they no longer support fuel transfer, while others on the same vehicle do. 5. Audio glitches with some of the engine sound files 'crackling' (jets and some of the rockets) 6. Difficulty level to inhibit Kerbals re-spawning doesn't appear to work, can disable it and they still re-spawn 7. setting the difficulty level is now more irritating than before, the old presets of "easy" medium" and "hard" combined with "custom" was better than the current "default" or "custom" There are other irritants, but they appear in the main game as well
  5. Is there any upcoming update for ksp xbox one where they fix that 200 part framerate issue?? Cuz it really starts to anoying me. I cant even build i spacestation.
  6. I have been having trouble with preforming science around the Mun since anytime I get close and click one of my science experiments they don't work(in career mode) also I made this spacecraft that is supposed to use asparagus staging but all the fuel lines don't work

  8. We know the Ps4 does have the ability to connect a keyboard and mouse so what's stopping Squad from implementing those controls? I get the argument that at that point you might as well buy a PC but i would like to enjoy KSP with easier controls. I understand if implementing is harder in practice than in concept. I would just like to hear an official response on it.

  10. So Ive been an avid player for months on this game - been playing almost a year, and i love the game so much. Now I wanna say this will be it and I'm done if this is unfixable but alas no, this isnt the first time this has happened and unfortunately I still come crawling back to the game. So this might be the third time now where this has happened, I've made loads of awesome rockets on sandbox but suddenly *poof* its all gone. Why do my save files keep dissappearing and can I recover one?? Yours truly, A broken Kerbonaut. EDIT: As an update, the recently released Enhanced Edition should hopefully mean that this something I never have to worry about again....
  11. Had to restart the game from the previously mentioned Mission Control bug. Loaded in and all quicksaves and saved ships from both VAB and SPH have disappeared. Reset the game again and they still not there. Did the game delete them? Turns out that I can no longer save ships I've built or even launch a ship from either the VAB or SPH. I can build ships but as soon as I click launch or save ship, the "Return to space" "Launch" "Open craft" "new craft" "Save craft" buttons are all greyed out. The other buttons work but can't back out only reset. But resetting the game doesn't fix it. Can I get a refund? Don't really wanna start again to bug test a broken game I payed full price for.
  12. Don't know if this is a bug, oversight, or me being daft. How, whilst in map, do you switch between planets? (Other than zooming right out and clicking the cursor on the planet you want to focus on) Is there any way of fine tuning manoeuvre nodes? I decided to send a probe to minimus for the first time in EE (I'd done it many times on FE) and I can't adjust the node fine enough to get an encounter, I keep over/under shooting it
  13. Anyone else test use a Twin Boar engine and get a strange crackling/clicking sound when the engine is powered up? The noise I hear is following a specific repeated pattern. If I put the throttle to zero the noise goes away, if I slowly throttle up or down, the pitch of the crackling changes along with throttle up/down. It sounds like this was maybe supposed to be part of the engine noise, but the crackling I'm hearing just doesn't seem to really fit. I have never noticed this noise with Twin Boar on previous KSP Xbox version, nor have I heard it with the PC version.
  14. I decided today that I wanted to play a Sandbox mode game (first time ever on EE) to try out some things I haven't gotten to yet on my career game. I clicked on sandbox, edited game name, changed flag, hit A to start.....AND I had no Kerbin. All I see is outter space. Gene Kerman gives his usual tutorial, I can go into individual buildings, but if I try to launch a pre-made ship, for example, I am taken to a launch pad in the middle of space. Colors missing, no actual planet, etc etc. Deleted, restart new sandbox. Same issue. Appears Sandbox was completely broken for me. I then tried to load up my existing Career save, and it now behaves the exact same way. It had been 5-7 days since I last played, but now, anytime I try an old save or a new game, Kerbin is not loading and the game is unplayable.

Xbox One EE release Cursor controls Career mode, hard setting (purchase of new parts disabled because that doesn't work) Bug: You can "recover" a craft while its in flight, not just when its on the ground, recovering the parts and funds, as well as any science on board prior to say impact with the ground. Expected behaviour: only able to recover a safely landed craft that is stationary relative to what its landed upon

Hopefully minor one, but irritating in the R&D centre when you look at an upgrade node there is a little block of icons to the right showing the parts, so far so good, however since these icons are all the same size would it be possible to pinch a few pixels vertically to show two full rows, so when there are six icons or less there is no scrolling - currently the bottom of the second row exceeds the window and triggers the scroll bar.
  17. currently there are a number of action menus that can be opened, some have a lot of wasted space and others require scrolling. would it not make a bit more sense to have the ones with wasted space reduce their vertical height? plus for the scrolling ones - if there is the screen space, open them so they do not need to scroll - this is mostly an issue where you are scrolling just to see one extra line. e.g. there are 9 lines of text, you can see 8 of them and scroll to read the last one, when there is a lot of empty space below the window

Xbox One EE Cursor controls Career mode, hard setting, purchase of upgrades disabled because it doesn't work Bug: Contracts vanish from the list, moving from the mission control building after accepting a contract to the VAB then to the launch pad - upon arrival at the launch pad the selected contract was no longer present - returning to mission control indicated it was not on the "available" list, checking the "current" contracts showed none currently in progress, the "completed" tab was also empty despite half a dozen contracts having been undertaken and completed, cashed in etc. Notification messages for completion of contracts still present, but not in mission control. Expected behaviour: once selected a contract remains active until completed or discarded
  19. Ive been playing kerbal space program enhanced edition since midnight release and encountered a few bugs here and there. One was where the A button to activate the next stage stopped working. It wouldn't work on the pause menu either but I restarted the game and it only happened once more after that. But the main bug I get is with mission control. I play career mode so I need to accept missions in order to get money but up untill 2 hours ago it worked fine but now when ever I try to look to see if there's a mission I want to do I press B to back out and the symbol for the B button disappears from the bottom of the screen. It works fine in the pause menu except that the "quit game" button no longer works either. I've had this bug happen about 30 times if not more In the past 2 hours. The only fix is to reset the game for it to only happen again the next time I look at mission control. Anyone no a fix for it?
  20. I had just finished building a space station last night, and had switched to another craft in orbit, and when I did, the controls for the comms satellite didn't respond. I thought nothing of it, then went to bed shortly after. Now after getting on KSP today, I've found that all of my vessels have their controls locked out, and I'm unable to control throttle, xyz controls, the camera, or even pause the game. As of now all my vessels are currently inoperative, and I'm unable to control them. (Note: Resetting the game and Xbox seems to help fix the bug, but it's still annoying and in need of squashing nonetheless.)
  21. Not really sure if this Is a bug, but I'm not sure where else to post it. I had a relay in orbit of minmus, went to the pause menu to go back to the space centre, but I found that I could press the "recover vessel" button, which I previously thought was only for recovering vessels on kerbin, but my vessel was recovered and i got something like 40% recovery funds. Seems very odd because half the fun of this game is launching vessel after vessel in an attempt to return stranded kerbals. But this can be done simply from the pause menu? So my question, is this intentional? Thanks in advance
  22. Anyone experience loss of craft control in the Xbox One Enhanced Edition? I have launched a pretty simple rocket (Twin-Boar engine, fuel tank, decoupler, Skipper engine, fuel tank, decoupler, MK1 control pod, heat shield, parachutes) into orbit around Kerbin. While checking out the Kerbal cockpit view, reviewing controls via the Manual app, and browsing through Kerbin planet info, contract info, etc, I have now lost control of my rocket orbiting Kerbin. Some things I have tried: I am not time warped. I am currently in 1x time mode, and have warped forward and put back to 1x mode.....no change in control ability. I have not run out of electric power. More than 40 of the default 50 electric charge remains. I have fuel remaining for my engines. Checked engines to ensure somehow engine was not shutdown. I have tried clicking on the MK1 Command module, and choosing Control From Here to make sure I didn't accidentally select a part or set control somewhere else.....no change in control ability. I have gone into the Settings menu and switched from Cursor to Radial, saved.....no change. Set back to Cursor.....no change. I have ensured I have pushed in Left Stick to make the cursor go away while attempting to control the craft. My vessel has Jebediah at the helm, so it is not a probe. The vessel is also close enough to Kerbin that it would not be out of range of communications. I cannot press B to turn SAS on/off, however, if I go to the NavBall, I can manually click SAS on/off with the cursor. The D-pad does not respond to any controls to either throttle up or down individually, or go to 100% using LB plus d-pad up. The needle for the throttle control never moves. If I press A to attempt to invoke the next stage, a decoupler, nothing happens. As a user of the previous Xbox One version of the game, as well as a user of the PC version of the game for the last several months, I've never run into a situation like this before and tried everything I could think of that would possibly prevent control of the craft. I'm stumped. I didn't want to revert my game. A few minutes after posting, I decided to take a chance going back to Space Center, then go to Tracking Station to get back to my vessel. I now have control of the vessel. Still very odd, that some sequence of menus caused a lockup of controlling the rocket.

  24. I play on Xbox and about a week ago my copy of ksp stopped working. The problem is with the start menu. When the game has loaded the "start game" button is not selected in white as it used to be. This means I cannot play the game as I can't even select the start game button.
  25. Aware the console versions are currently be re-written, this is more a hope to check this before publication than a request for a fix. Have noticed the tendency for the game to lock you to a view - unable to return to the space centre, when using the time warp feature - e.g. warp forwards in the tracking station and you're stuck there, in map view and while you can flip back to the spacecraft you can't return home either. Just a request to test this sort of thing...
