    My collection of abstract art.

Hi guys i just wanted to share my art pictures. I draw something based of materials, chemicals and even physical process. All of this in abstract way of course! I ask you not to judge abstract art, though it is very dumb sometimes. (Just to mention , i use MSpaint for this) Solve a paradox (for your background, fits mine very nice.) Spektrum. Very nice and simplistick background, not because of art, but because it is calm and not blinding. Photon. Carbon. Anti. Though very simple, looks good on flags and backgrounds. Fractal. Basicly just mess with light reflections. Sylicate. Lava. I have 4 more to go! But i won't post them for now, i want to keep your interest.

    Looking for Artists

Recently, I've thought of something. I, along with a few other people in a special team, have seen amazing posters for planets such as Jool, Laythe, and Eve. I'm looking for an artist capable of drawing amazing posters like this: https://imgur.com/fmhFLGJ! Or this: Or this beautiful poster! If you think that you can make planet poster comparable to these, then please DM me, and further information will be given! Thank you in advance!

    Space concept art

Hey I am looking for a new wall paper for my computer. Now this would be easy but I am in search of a very specific one. It looks like a concept art from the 1980's, a space station in orbit of Mars. All I can describe it as is one or two astronauts with a space station and Mars in the background. I remember see it in in a space art book, can't remember the name.

How to draw abstract art. (tutorial)

Hey careless forum! How is it going? Maybe you know me by my collection of abstract art. If you are not familiar with it here is the link- LOL So after you've seen what you are going to learn now, lets begin working. Class 1, Topic 1.- Babysteps. So, now, you will need to find MS Paint. (sorry i don't know whether there is paint in Mac, but if there is do your best) After you've found Paint, lets begin with very simple task: 1. Choose any color you want in Pallete, which you will find in the right corner. (except entrirely black or entirely white) 2. Find button (close to pallete, a bit more to the left), there will be 4 sizes of lines. Pick the 3 pixel size. (you can acknowledge the size by hovering over it) 4. Find ''Figures" button, it is somewhere in the middle, just a tiny bit to the right. Now lets find rhombus (flipped square), place it in the middle of the picture. Then, using simple strait lines, lets make the grid. I won't explain it, i will just say two things: it makes stuff 3d, just copy it. Now lets paint it. Now i will give you a clue how to use light and shadow. By your IMAGINATION place somewhere (in the corner, down,up) a light emmitter. Take you base color and make 4 versions of it: one brighter than the base color, base color itself, a little bit darker than base color and the darkest one. (not entirely black, just darker) Find the right coloring tool. (i don't remember how is it called, it is just a picture of tin can with paint spillt out, sorry) Now place the color in such order: Brighter- closer (to light emmitter) Darker-Further. Here is what you're supposed to get: That is your first drawing! Congratullations if you made it so far. Class 2 Topic 1- Void Voids are great decoration to any drawing, they can be used as atmospheres of planets, special effects and if you are an abstract artist it is a little, yet great way to show something in 3D. Due to technical difficulties, I am able to show you only the end result. Sorry. So, currently, we need to create another drawing, then we need to paint the whole background black. Now, lets put something into the center, it can be absolutely everything, just not very big, probably as big as our previous drawing scaled down to 1/2 of its previous size. Now to the drawing.. Lets choose a certain color and make a square out of it, make sure it is far enough from out object in the center. (Make sure the color is bright enough) Lets put another square, witch is a little bit smaller than the previous one, make sure they are close to each other (20 millimeters) Paint the space between them, it should be colored the same color as the squares are. Then, make a few (6 or more, or less) variations of the color that are darker than the previous. Conduct the same operation until you will end up with absolute darkness. You should get something like this: (The central thing is unnecessary) If it will have enough response, i will make another lesson. POST YOUR THINGUS

    My Mission Flags/Patches

These are are selection of flags, patches, and drawing made by me in Microsoft Paint. Feel free to use them wherever you want. I shall be accepting requests. Send me a PM if you want a flag/patch done for you. Hello guys! It's me, again. This is just a thread for me to showcase the drawings, flags, and patches that I draw using the simplest of imaging software, Microsoft Paint. I, as the above clearly states, shall be accepting flag/patch requests. Here are my first couple of drawings: This was my first ever drawing with Microsoft Paint: Very simple, as you can see. This was my second, an Apollo CSM with an SIVB, presumably performing the Trans-Lunar/Munar Injection Burn: This was my third, a drawing that I'm not too happy with - a Saturn V launching: My fourth, and my personal favourite, a Mercury capsule re-entering the atmosphere: And, my fifth, and, currently, my last drawing, an Icarus spacecraft while in orbit. The Icarus spacecraft was the spacecraft I used to put the first Americans into orbit. (More here.)

    KSP: The Motion Picture

Yup, it is right. I'm planning to make an animated KSP movie. (Now you read the first sentence, please don't yell "WHEN IT WILL COME OUT!" I have the general idea of a story: Years after (actually, 100 000's of years after) Voyager 1 """somehow""" ends up in a trajectory towards Kerbol as Kerbals discover it. Having no idea what it is, Mission Control will suspiciously redirect an "asteroid redirect" mission secretly to find out about the alien device, which will cause some rumours to spread through Kerbals. It will be a little like 2001, but, er..., in a Kerbal way, monolith replaced by Voyager 1, the evil AI replaced by some other hostility-towards-unknown-supporter Kerbal group. Some conflicts will happen between science-supporter Kerbals and not-so-sure-or-hostile Kerbal group. At the end of the movie, science-and-peace-supporter Kerbals will examine golden record, will start a project like SETI, and will send a signal into space like Arecibo Message, in a search for civilisation just like theirs. I have completed almost nothing until now, just wanted to see if people wants to support this. I need more story, and hopefully, more and better 3d models. I have some models in my hand, but they are not enough in means of number and quality. It would be very nice if I could somehow ask Squad, but I don't exactly know what to say. "I wanna make a movie give them all!"

    Who's your favorite artist (music)?

Simple: share what you like to listen to with us! I've been listening to Disturbed recently. Absolutely magnificent. (BDArmory in a nutshell, really ^) What about you?
  14. Since the dawn of Kerbalkind, the eager green creatures have always looked to the skies, but when they tried to reach the stars, they ended up unsuccessful, with themselves wading (or drowning) in a reflection of the night skies across the surface of glistening water. Some kerbals who managed to swim to the surface after a near-drowning experience realized the beauty that lied right back at home in the murky depths, and eventually invented the submarine. But it wasn't until the best of both worlds were combined that everyone-- both the space program and submarine program kerbals, was/were pleased . In this depiction of the 57th Kerbal Sub Test of the submarine/space program, near dusk in Jool's atmosphere, a brave kerbonaut tried to "walk" on deck with a hose attached, during the start of a fiery reentry towards the hopefully-navigable greenness below. Sadly, those who were aboard or dangling from a cord noticed that the below "liquid" now seemed to resemble clouds... The kerbals inside now started to wonder where else besides Kerbin could they find such beautiful views and the conditions to allow the use of a submarine... This is the result of my urge to make kerbals enter a gas giant with a submarine, after having read this: https://what-if.xkcd.com/139/, giving me inspiration. It might be fun to actually try this in KSP, now after creating this...

    Kerbal Papercraft

Hey everyone! I just thought that I would share a little project I have been working on. Over the past few days I have designed a Kerbal papercraft. It's made out of card stock and glue, with some tape for the visor. Here is a link to the Google document with pics and details. Hope you guys like it! I'll try to post the plans once I refine them. This was designed by hand, like all my projects, since I don't have any software. There are a few components I need to adjust, then it will be ready. https://docs.google.com/document/d/17d60FzyTSmLOF6EicC6zIVlPmeQUfQC_3VbEBRB9UdQ/edit?usp=sharing Let me know if there are any problems with this link, or if you have any questions about the design or the process. Thanks!

  18. I have a request for all artist. Im in a role-play group on Facebook. Its a military based RP and when 1.1 comes out i want to role-play a war with another country. Unlike most in the group the enemy won't be just a bunch of terrorist or extremist. It will instead be a actual military. As such i want to give more in depth and more story to the enemy and my forces. This is where y'all will come in. I need a picture that will give face to the enemies leader. My idea for her is that SHE will be totalitarian almost like Hitler was. So you need to come up with a picture that when people see her, they see someone who strikes fear into them while also giving sense of leadership. Im giving y'all a bit of artistic freedom but there are some things that need to be in play 1. Keep it clean and professional - A suit and tie or very dignified dress would be best - Attractive but not revealing (think of the promo for when Valentina was introduced only instead of a space suit something a leader of a country would wear) 2. Unlike most female kerbals…give her long black hair. 3. She needs to have a smile. One thats confident but not hubris. Also slightly psychotic (Think power hungry) 4. Needs to include the flag in the picture 5. No real world emblems. I know I'm asking you to create a picture of a totalitarian leader for my RP group to fight against but no swastikas or anything like that. I ll let you know who the winner is when i pick one. Good luck and have fun
  19. Hi y'all i'm Planetfall, I made this dragonfly. I had a lot of fun make in this craft so I thought lets make a challenge to build insects with maybe kerbals riding on them! Rules: Since I want this thread to be about creativity I don't want too many rules, but I feel there need to be some guidelines. -You can choose any insect to model -Accuracy is a big plus, try to make the craft look reasonably similar to the insect you're modeling. Put up a photo of the actual insect so we can compare. -kerbal riders are not required, but are encouraged -your craft should be able to move (if the bug walks the model should roll, if the bug flies than so should your craft) Static models will still be accepted though -Have fun!
  20. Hey there, It was not the first time that my son Alex(7) saw me playing KSP. He seemed to develop more and more interest over the time. He even asked me to teach him how to play the game! (I almost lost a tear in that moment) I told him lots of things about the game and space in general, even though i doubt, he understood everything. This evening after coming home from a long work day, he surprised me. First, I was about to send him to bed. (How dare he stay up so late?) My wife calmed me down and told me to wait. He took out a large piece of paper, he had rolled up behind his back. It was a watercolor painting he did in school, titled "Alex and Pa together on Dune" (I think he meant Duna). I almost cried, Never been so proud. I'll certainly spend more time with him now. I'll have to switch some shifts and maybe do one or two extra, but spending time with my son, see him grow, see him develop an interest in science, that is just priceless. Here it is: He's planting the flag, while I'm landing with my spacecraft.
  21. Today I made something I thought was pretty cool and that I should share with you guys: Play with it here! https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/13276416/Unity/WarpTest/WarpTest.html It's a little interactive "simulator" thing about relativistic space flight. I've made the galaxy much smaller than real life (only two light-minutes across) for obvious reasons, and it isn't quite scientifically accurate in all ways, but it's based on the real science behind relativistic optical effects and thus with any luck gives the right general impression. Here's hoping some of you guys have some fun with it! And please be sure to let me know what you think. Old post:
