  1. The North pole of Mimnus has really buggy lighting and ground. Simply changing the angle of where you look also changes the shadows of the terrain Its also super dark, but you can glitch the lighting to show at a specific angle, see video below: Its also buggy where the terrain disappears (see altitude and the rock in the distance): It was really difficult to land when its black and had no detail:
  2. guys, i need some help. My game is with all black models (the ships, the kerbals, the clothes, etc.) I bought the game through steam, and all my ships, from the angar until the moment I explode on the ground, are black. Jebediah's camera is buggy too, only his head appears in the black square. I don't have any mods installed, and I didn't download the expansions either. My game is in the latest version (1.10), and is downloaded from steam. I've tried to change the graphics shadows, but nothing helps to solve them. I am attaching here some videos of the game (I recorded with my cell phone). It runs at a maximum of 28 FPS, but that doesn't bother me, just that everything is black. Here de videos
  3. Before I begin, here is my modlist: B9 Aerospace BDArmoryContinued Distant Object Enhancement Docking Port Alignment Indicator Environmental Visual Enhancements Ferram Aerospace Research Firespitter Kerbal Alarm Clock Kerbal Attachment System MechJeb 2 ModularFlightIntegrator Module Manager Physics Range Extender PlanetShine RasterPropMonitor SmokeScreen - Extended FX Plugin Texture Replacer Replaced Transfer Window Planner All of the above (except for EVE) were installed manually. KSP Version: 1.7.3.2594 (I'm new to KSP modding. I really enjoy how these mods improve the experience, but please do let me know if any conflict and may cause issues.) My specs: i7 7700k, Z270 Mobo EVGA 1080ti SC 16GB 2400MHz RAM 2 512GB SSDs in RAID 0 So it seems that the black sky bug that apparently happens often with Scatterer is happening to me, but with even more issues on top of that. Here is how playing KSP goes for me atm: The game loads, looks great and works just fine when I first load in. Loading into anything a second or third time seems to work well too (i.e. loading into VAB and then launching pad). It seems that after the fourth loading screen or the second time loading into the space center screen, I load in okay but I'm presented with a black sky with clouds and an ocean with no water (I just see a blue surface where I assume the bottom would be). After entering any other loading screen (i.e. into VAB again or to take control of a flight), the game stutters as it normally would during loading and then the little rotating loading indicator starts moving again. Then: The loading screen never finishes and I am forced to force quit the game. This happens unless I press ESC to open the pause menu, which seems to close the loading screen and open up whatever instance I was loading into. This only works with 3D instances like VAB. If it was a 3D instance and I pressed ESC during the last step, I am now in the game completely unable to move my camera while still having the black sky and missing ocean. I am tired of searching for solutions. I've spent hours looking stuff up that might be related to my issue but have never seen the disappearing ocean and infinite loading screen part online. I'm assuming a screwed up mod installs somehow, but I've tried many things like: reinstalling visual mods verifying game integrity on Steam disabling certain mods yet the problem persists. I have tried disabling Scatterer and this did fix the black sky, but it caused a tsunami bug and didn't change the infinite loading screen behavior. I honestly don't even know if it fixed the black sky, as my game behaved the exact same except a darker blue sky came in when the fully black sky would have with Scatterer installed. I'm desperate at this point. I want to play this game with mods but I guess I will have to go without until anyone can give me any suggestions. Thanks for your anticipated help.
  4. Hi everybody ! I contact you because I have a little problem ^^ After days and days of experiments I finaly mad SSRSS work on KSP 1.6.1. As you read in the title, everything work perfectly except of Scatterer. It work good on the global map window but in KSC and Flight View all the sky and the sea are completely dark. I tried now for a few week to make it work, I changed .CFG files, Folders, set it for RSS... But nothing work. Scatterer is suppose to work well with SSRSS (I know it's for 1.3.1 version normaly), so I really think there is just a little line to change or something like that to make everything work. But I understand nothing about programming... Is there a very nice person who is ok to help me or take a look to my game data folder to see what break scatterer ? I know there is some people who realy want play SSRSS with one of the latest KSP version, don't hesitate to ask me my folders, as I said everything else work fine Thank your for your help !
  5. When I spawn into the game my screen has a lot of tiny white pixels (most notably when in orbit) all over my screen (see attached screenshot) and I have no idea why it is like that or what may be causing it. I have around 98 mods installed (which doesnt help) so I'm out of ideas and need some help. Picture: https://drive.google.com/open?id=13Iia56E4yyf8rsya9f7LVwF79CXuAK6m Also my oceans seem to be a tad glitchy too flickering on the shorelines (especially when in orbit). I assume this has something to do with the Scatterer mod but this was way worse when I had the Better Oceans mod installed and uninstalling that helped but there are still obvious flickering popping up. Any help is highly appreciated! Thanks in advanced for the help!!! KSP latest version (Steam) - 1.7.1 All mods are up to date according to each mod's official thread Log: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1wtSiHeR16ZRzJ-YRGBqeYPtvUcUbd4q9
  6. Hello. As we all know, the KSP Forums has a blue and white colour scheme. While this is alright, in low light environments (or at night), the forums can seem to be, well, a bit too bright, and can hurt your eyes. I'm proposing a forum night mode, where the white is simply switched to black. This can be toggled in Account Settings, and I believe would be very helpful for late night (or early morning if you're extreme) browsing Thoughts on this idea? - Cat
  7. So I was going through some older mods looking for interesting things to use with stock texture switching. And I came across this awesome old ESTES parachute pack by Narhiril . I thought it would be perfect to set up texture switching so they are all available in one part for the Mk16 chute. The mod was last updated for V-1.2.0 . This is basically just a texture pack the chutes work fine and the textures are in dds format but I get this effect in the game. I think I have seen this before does anyone know what needs to be changed on the texture sheet to fix this ? I assume it's some layer that needs to have transparency value or a colour change to fix the problem? I'M completely incompetent when it comes to artwork or working with textures. I am also handicapped by being on Linux with Gimp "sorry" no Photoshop. I was hoping its something easy I can do by just clicking a layer and changing a value or something ? If any of you texture gurus know what I need to do I would appreciate it. If not no problems I wouldn’t expect anyone to spend any time on the problem . this was just something I was going to do for myself and if there isn’t a easy fix I'm certainly not going to. "Thanks"
  8. Hello everyone ! Since the update to 1.4 it became impossible for me to play on the 64bits so I decided to play on the 32bits version which led me to memory problems : forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/172822-ksp-141-crash-too-often The reason why I can't launch KSP 64bits is when I launch the game, I just get a black screen, with the loading bar already at 50% done at nothing happen.. The window is not broken... just seems like the 64 bits have to display this image : What I tried : - Launching the game as admin - Verify the games files integrity If you have already experienced this or have any tips to give me, you're welcome
  9. Greetings, I have a fresh install of 1.2.1 with no mods. When in the VAB and SPH, moving the camera low and looking up sometimes causes the screen to black out, with the UI still showing. Screenshot included. I have also seen it be black when I first enter the VAB, and then goes to normal once I click a root part. I'm on Windows 7 x64, ATI FirePro graphics. Thanks, Jamie
