  1. With Christmas coming up I thought it would be fun to have a game where we can all sing Christmas songs one line at a time. Rules: 1. 1 song at a time. 2. Each player posts a single line from the current song. 3. the player who posts the final line to a Christmas Carol/Song names the next song. The next player will then start with the first line of the song. 4. Standard forum rules apply. 5. One line per post. If you wish to post a second line to follow your current line (to as an example complete the song because you have a fun song to name as the next song) a minimum of 10 minutes must pass before doing so. I will start us off with naming Jingle Bells. Since this is our first song I will give us our first line. Jingle Bells Dashing through the snow. 123812072023
  2. With Christmas coming soon I thought I would pose this thread so that we all may put good cheer, good tidings and our wishes out there. I wish to find love, to find happiness and to find peace. How about you all? What do you wish? 003412052023
  3. What is this? This is a game where forum users work together to create an outrageously long variation of the popular song "The Twelve Days of Christmas". End goal The last post of this game should contain an entire community-made song for all to enjoy. Rules and guidelines: -Each new reply adds the next highest day to the song (1st day, then 2nd, then 3rd, and so on) -Each added lyric should generally follow the rhythm of the original song (an entire Wikipedia article is a good example of what not to do) -No lyric has to relate to Christmas or any other user-created lyric. Be as creative as you want! -There is no limit to how many days can be in the song -Profanity, racial slurs, insults, and other inappropriate language and behavior IS NOT permitted. All official KSP community restrictions apply. An example of how this might look: Wpetula: on the 1st day of Christmas Jebediah gave to me... ...a rocket made out of pear trees. JadeOfMaar: on the 2nd day of Christmas Jebediah gave to me... ...two broken spaceplanes, and a rocket made out of pear trees. Gameslinx: on the 3rd day of Christmas Jebediah gave to me... ...three modders modding, two broken spaceplanes, and a rocket made out of pear trees. (ETC.) I'll start: On the first day of Christmas Jebediah gave to me, a rocket made out of pear trees.
  4. This is a thread I created so everyone can share their holiday traditions. Whether you celebrate certain holidays or not, everyone is still welcome here. I personally spend a lot of time on the 24th preparing for Christmas and cleaning up the house, then have family over on the 25th. We all open up presents then enjoy the day. After that, we go to my grandparents house and eat a large feast they prepared. Well, enough talking from me, I’d love to hear your holiday traditions!
  5. SEE HERE FOR WINTER KERBOL 2016 Download at Kerbal Stuff I know the name is kind of lame, I'm not good with coming up with mod names to be honest. Requires Kopernicus and TextureReplacer! This mod adds a few christmas/winter-holiday features to the solar system. Kerbin's ground is now totally covered in snow! Jool is now red, green, and white. (Based upon a texture made by @Felsmak) Two space suit textures: Red "Santa" Space Suit, and Green "Elf" Space Suit, based upon these suits. Eeloo now has Pine Trees! (Mostly @Thomas P.'s fault) If you want only one part of it, remove the other parts. (Remove the "Jool" or "Kerbin" section from GameData/ChristmasKerbol, and if you don't want the suit textures, remove the TextureReplacer part.)
  6. KSP Christmas Tree Challenge Goal Land a Christmas tree on any of the KSP bodies (Kerbin, Jool and the Sun not included). It's that simple. Rules 1: No hyperedit, cheat menu, warp mods, vesselmover, or any cheaty mods. 2: You can use parts mods, but don't use anything too OP (like some endgame Interstellar Extended engines). 3: Please have something on your tree like lights or ornaments to make it look better. 4: Your tree can be fold-up, multi-launch, modular, or any other method of making it easier to launch, but please, please don't just send up a ton of modular tree pieces and stack it until the physics limit won't let you anymore. 5: If you're gonna hit it out of the ballpark, don't do it via exploitations of scoring equations. 6: Only one tree per entry. If you want to make more, sure, go ahead, but they will be individually scored and ranked. 7: Because I posted this a little bit later than I thought, I'm going to ignore the rule I originally was going to add that stated "Enter by Christmas". Instead, enter whenever you like. 8: Image or video proof recommended, but not strictly required. Scoring Because a lot of people are going to win this, I'm making a score system for it. Below is the score system: ((Tree Height)+(Tree Width))x(Planet Multiplier) If you land near an anomaly, you can multiply your score by 2. Below, in the spoiler, is a list of planet multipliers: So, you add your tree width and tree height in meters together, and then multiply it by whatever body's planet multiplier you landed on. That easy. Leaderboards There will be the top 5 scorers below: 1: 2: 3: 4: 5: And the rest in this spoiler:
  7. Merry Christmas from India....... Here's my Christmas Creation in KSP this year......
  8. I haven't seen many people here with Christmas themed avatars like mine this year...this seemed to be quite popular last year. If you already have one, show it off here, and if you want one, this thread might provide some inspiration.
  9. Tis Christmas eve and Santa AKA Nicholas Kerman has Crashed his sleigh into the Northern Ice shelf after his elf's forgot to feed the reindeers. Out of desperation Santa has requested the help of the KSC to save Christmas! Your mission, If you choose to accept, is as follows: Rescue Santa and his reindeers and return them to the north pole for 'regeneration', then complete his Christmas deliveries. Santa Rescue: Due to his robust size Santa cannot fly on non magical craft so you must deliver a rover to collect Santa and his 8 reindeers and drop them at the north pole. Santa requires the space of 6 kerbals (too many mince pies) and cannot fit inside parts less than 2.5m in diameter, his reindeers require the space of 2 Kerbals each and cannot share a part with Santa. Christmas Delivery: Santa cannot complete his Christmas deliveries due to the crash and has requested the help of the KSC! Unfortunately, as a result of the impact, all the presents are buried deep in the ice shelf, to recover them you must drill into the ice and collect all 750 presents (ore) once recovered the gifts must be delivered to each runway (island, dessert and KSC runway, 250 ore each) Santa's failure must not be made public therefore this part of the mission is to be carried out covertly, to avoid radar detectors a maximum altitude of 1500m above sea level is permissible, you must avoid any land mass that will force you above this height. Sonic booms will alert the media therefore a maximum speed of 300m/s over land is allowed during the deliveries. There is no speed limit over water. You have six hours to collect the presents and make all deliveries. Rules: 1) Mods are allowed unless they give an unfair advantage. 2) The presents must be delivered using one craft, refuelling is allowed but the 'present' ore cannot be used for this. 3)Santa and all reindeer must be recovered to the north pole using one rover. 4) Santa can be collected anywhere within the northern ice shelf biome and the rover can be delivered with any craft you wish, plant a flag as close to the centre of the ice cap as (exact coordinate are not necessary. 5)Mission reports including screenshots or video's of important milestones shown. 6) Extra Kudos for using 'christmasy' craft!
  10. This year I decided to take the KSP YouTuber trope of making a Kerbal Christmas tree and give it my own little twist. Music: Oh, Christmas Tree Up on a Housetop Anxiety Very Low Note Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ No Kerbals were harmed in the making of this holiday special. Not much, anyway.
  11. WINTER KERBOL 2017 That's three years now! https://imgur.com/a/6umdL Download at Spacedock Kerbin is covered in snow. Jool is given a festive texture of Red White and Green (Also included are the previous year's textures) Eve is covered in Hot Chocolate oceans and metal snow. Laythe is covered in Egg Nog or Milk, depending on which scientist you ask. Eeloo is covered in pine trees. (requires enabling terrain scatter in settings) Four Flags recolored from stock designs. Santa and Elf Space Suits for TextureReplacer. Requires TextureReplacerReplaced and Kopernicus.

  13. Just in time for the holidays, for those that decorate trees for the season, here's a little something I put together to celebrate the holiday: I've had the idea for a while to make a Christmas tree light out of Snark's BL-01 light with the Z-100 indicator model, and I wrote a Module Manager patch to clone the light to make it happen. Link to the patch here. Tree itself is made from Fuel Tanks Plus adapters, with the root part being the Mk1 Lander Can. This tree can be downloaded from KerbalX here. (Fuel Tanks Plus, IndicatorLights, and the linked patch are requirements)
  14. WINTER KERBOL 2016 FULL ALBUM HERE Download at Spacedock, and Merry Solstice. Kerbin is covered in snow. Jool is given a festive texture of Red and Green (Also included is a texture for a Red and Gold variant, as well as the legacy texture from last year.) Eve is covered in Hot Chocolate oceans. Laythe is covered in Egg Nog or Milk, depending on which scientist you ask. Eeloo is covered in pine trees. Four Flags recolored from stock designs. Santa and Elf Space Suits for TextureReplacer. Requires TextureReplacer and Kopernicus.
  15. Greetings, Wishin everyone Happy Holidays and for everyone to have a Happy New Year ! As some of you may know my New Year will be somewhat not so happy at some point but I dont look at life that way ! Afterall we may only be given once chance to even have a life, and many of us arent so lucky. Einstein's greatest discovery points to an answer for life ... "It's All Relative" . We grow; we fight; we live; we dream; we must continue because we 'CAN' continue. We must not worry when our time is up, and live our lives in the present because...the past is history; the future is a mystery, and the present IS A GIFT ( no matter it's origin ). Kerbal Space Program allows for many opportunities for creativity, and we can add to it and even show off some of it in live streams on twitch. If life wasnt tuff, and people werent different, how boring would that be ! KSP is but a small part of life for some of us, but that part, however small, is kool, and gives us an opportunity to learn from mistakes; also part of life. Goodbye 2015 with 2016 another year around the corner, I am ready. We watched a kool movie tonite - Despicable Me, and I thought...did they use that movie as an idea for KSP? Gosh I luv those l'il MINIONS ! Commander Zeta
  16. Hello everyone! This is my KSP Christmas special. After 4 years of playing KSP, I have learned one thing: It is awesome. Truly awesome. But I have never done a holiday special. And that is why I am here, to give you guys some happiness for the holidays. So without further ado: A Kerbal Christmas Gene looked over the plans for Canopus Station, over and over again. He sighed, tired, frustrated. He needed a holiday. Christmas. That was what it was called. But how to celebrate it? Your turn, guys! Come up with a Christmas Kerbal celebration, run it by me, and I might implement it!
