  1. Launch Pad is a CKAN Client written for macOS. It allows you to download and install mods for Kerbal Space Program, including dependencies. If you play KSP on a Mac, and find it hard to use the official CKAN application using monodevelop, give Launch Pad a try! The app is still being developed, so while you can install most mods with it, you can't upgrade them right now. The app uses the original CKAN Metadata Repository, so all mods that are available on CKAN are also available in here. I'd LOVE for some adventurous Mac users to try it out and leave feedback though. More Information on GitHub Download the latest Alpha Version Submit Bugs and Feature Request Before trying out Launch Pad, I'd recommend creating a backup of your KSP directory, simply because it's still alpha software. If you have any question regarding how to install and use the app, please feel free to ask
  2. I have no idea what the issue is, but originally b9partswitch wouldn't work(error thing should still be in the log). Installed Ckan and updated my mods to see if that would work, ended up breaking kopernicus and Tweakscale. I have many mods and i cannot pinpoint anything. please help, log is below [snip]
  3. I launch my game and B9 says it has a fatal error and its not meant for my version but its for 1.9.1. I looked on google and it seems like its been a problem in the past. Anyone know a fix?
  4. I am terribly sorry if this is the wrong place to put this, but I need help. Today I booted up CKAN and it told me an update was available. So naturally I told it to download the update. It immediately closed and windows antivirus started losing its mind, flagging it as a deadly Trojan and deleting it. I have redownloaded CKAN four times and evey time I am unable to open it, its flagged as a virus, and then deletes itself. What is going on. Help?
  5. Greetings, KSP2 mod authors and enthusiasts. tl;dr: The CKAN team is recruiting! If you are interested in helping out, please say hi on our Discord: https://discord.gg/Mb4nXQD (#metadata channel) To add a new mod to CKAN, it has to be reviewed to make sure it's set up correctly. Some of this can be done by automated tools, but some can only be done by a human. And somebody needs to investigate and fix issues with mods that are already added. These are the jobs of the CKAN Metadata Wranglers team. Currently the workload per-mod is rather light since the mods so far haven't yet had complex installs or interdependencies; mostly it's been adding tags and merging. However, lots of new mods have been arriving at a rapid clip, and our response times depend on how many team members we have online through the course of the day. Right now it's just me, and the review queue accumulates when I'm unavailable. So we need new members, and that might mean you! If you'd enjoy making CKAN work well for KSP2, consider becoming a Metadata Wrangler. The others on the CKAN team would help you get up to speed with how everything works and what to watch out for and answer any questions you may have. If you are already familiar with these technologies, you'll find that very helpful, but it's not required if you're willing to learn: git GitHub YAML JSON We look forward to meeting you! https://github.com/KSP-CKAN/CKAN/wiki/How-to-Wrangle-Metadata-for-KSP2
  6. Hey, I downloaded Tweakscale and KSP says it has no ModuleManger, yet I have more than 1 module manager i currently have 666_ModuleManagerWatchDog.dll, 999_Scale_Redist.dll, KSPAPIExtensions.dll, ModuleManager.dll, and WatchDogForScaleRedist.dll idk why its not working. im new so its kinda hard for me I just installed ckan
  7. KSP 1.12.4 I cant seem to open the build menu with RSS, But it works fine without rss. I also have Tundra Space Center with KSC Extended, and lots more mods like RO and Modular Launchpads. Player.log: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1usIspqGFMTjp2AS3a8Qvnp8KT2Xxr5er/view?usp=sharing
  8. Hey y'all. I recently moved to a new laptop, and wanted to use the same mods that I used before (realism overhaul and many more realism and parts mods). Now using CKAN on windows, I managed to run into a fatal error on startup. What am I doing wrong here? I've attached the screenshots of all my mods on CKAN and the screenshot of the error when launching KSP.
  9. Not sure why but the adapters from NearFutureLaunchVehicles are decoupling apon engine activation. Heres a link to a google drive with the craft file this issue is occuring in, and the CKAN modpack file. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1uTFZV84XG33v4HDRUa4gU6HlTYE8InV0?usp=sharing Would be very nice if you manged to fix it!
  10. KSP won't load mods in when the game runs with the addition of the Breaking Ground DLC but if I launch through CKAN, the mods load but the DLC doesn't. Does anyone have a solution to this? Thanks!
  11. Hey y'all, Today I decided to bulk download a load of interesting sounding mods. Afterwards I booted KSP and was greeted with an error message in the loading screen (it's still loading but with a KSP error on the screen). I'm having some trouble uploading screenshots atm, so I'll just copy and paste what the errors say (yes, multiple). Error 1 Error 2 Modlist is hard to write by hand, so here's a link to a text file that I imported from CKAN with all my mods and versions: https://we.tl/t-TmNWcpXwEV Here's the KSP.log: https://we.tl/t-0wL5zZFFXP All mods downloaded via CKAN, not touched the GameData folder by hand. Version of KSP is as stated in the second error, 1.12.0. Anyone got any idea what on earth is going on? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, SecondHandRocketScience
  12. Hey everyone. I recently upgraded my OS and didn't think that I'd need my game save and so I didn't copy it over. Once I finished the upgrade and downloaded the game again, I realized that the latest version of KSP isn't compatible with a lot of my mods. Is there a way that I can get a specific version of KSP to point ckan at? I bought on both steam and GOG (long story. bought twice, once in 2015 and again in 2018), so if there is a way that is possible on only one store, I'm fine with that.
  13. What will happen to crafts if I will uninstall mod? I am using some parts from mod "KOS," but I want to have faster loadtime again. Is craft going to be removed or only missing parts will be removed? Second question, do I have to manually remove some directories or using ckan manager is enough to have vanilla kerbals?
  14. ckan keeps installing Community Category Kit v5.2.0.0 instead of v5.1.0.0 even when I try and import the mod from this .zip file .zip file it will always install v5.2
  15. I pressed alt-f12, and it says; "Exception: ReflectionTypeLoadException: Exception of the type 'System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException' was thrown. [ModuleManager] Intercepted a ReflectionTypeLoadException. List of broken DLLs: B9PartSwitch 1.0.1.0 GameData/B9PartSwitch/Plugins/B9PartSwitch.dll" I cannot remove b9 partswitch, since it is necessary to run b9 aerospace, which I want. Why is this happening?
  16. I want to create a new ckan mod pack, but I don’t want to get rid of the one that I currently have. How do I do that?
  17. 18. It says I need the ksp version of 1.12.9 yet the latest version steam has is 1.12.2 how do I fix this?
  19. I got a prompt on CKAN today to install a new version. My windows defender immediately started screaming at me that this was a trojan. This looks dodgy as hell so I'd suggest to avoid the new CKAN update. This is the alert I got from windows defender https://imgur.com/gallery/9cgGAFp
  20. I am on version 1.9.0 and I keep getting stuck on the loading screen while it says "Loading Expansions" Here's the console error. If you need the log file I can give it to you. No idea why this is happening but I am using CKAN with quite the amount of mods. I solved it I just re-installed some of the mods and it worked.
  21. I heard you wanna install mods. This will help you. Soon I will do a Module Manager tutorial, but CKAN in my opinion a very easy easy way to install mods. Steps: First, you wanna go to this link, and follow my instructions. https://github.com/KSP-CKAN/CKAN/releases/tag/v1.29.2 This will take you to something where you will see "Freedman" or something like that. Scroll all the way to the bottom. (This is mainly for windows sorry mac bros) Now, click on ckan.exe. Let it download, and then open it, it should be at the bottom like most .exe downloads are. Now, it might say like it was blocked from Windows Security, if it was, this may be the end, because you might have to change some settings with Windows Defender. Do not do this if you think it will harm your computer. Now, when you open it, it may show like a "Run" option, click Run. It may update repositories when it opens, just wait. Now, you should see a list of mods and then some other things, the only thing you need to really use is Refresh, Apply Changes, and the list of mods. Now, say you want to refresh the list, click refresh. If you want to install a mod(s), click the check box and click Apply Changes. You might wanna make sure the version of the mod is up-to-date, and you might need Module Manager for some, which I will do a tutorial of soon. If you had any problems, let me know and I will help you out.]xc
  22. UPDATE: Thanks for the help everyone, realized my (kinda stupid :p) mistake almost instantly after the responses mentioned it. Going in to the settings and allowing installation for mods only compatible with older versions of KSP solved the problem. Case solved! Hello everyone, So after a long break i decided to get back in to ksp, and because i wanted something new i am trying a lot of mods. To make installing a lot of mods all at once easier i got myself CKAN, but a lot of mods don't have any checkbox next to them to install them, even though they are compatible with my ksp version. I can right click and just install them, but this skips the part where ckan automatically installs all the required addons (i think?) so i prefer to just use the checkbox method. Some mods still do have the checkbox, but it doesn't make sense which do and which don't. Also when i go to installed mods, it doesn't show the mods which i installed through the "forced" method of installation, they are found under the "cached" filter. Anyone have any idea what might cause this problem and how to fix the missing checkbox? (example pictures follow)
  23. This sounds weird, but when i uninstall KSP and delete anything from the steamapps, common folder, and then reinstall it, some stuff that is not included in the base game gets installed. This problem has only occurred with mods i have installed using ckan. i am not sure that i have fully uninstalled it, but that may be the case. pretty much, is there anyway i can delete any and all files that are used for ksp or CKAN so i can have a fresh, clean copy of KSP? Also, i'm using the steam version of KSP. Just wanted to clarify. These are also some pictures: https://imgur.com/a/uZaImRw
  24. I have a problem with ckan, when i download anything the speed at the start is enough to download 300kbs, but after that it just drops to a few bytes per second of download. i have restarted my pc as my router, and made sure i have an up to date version of ckan. my internet speed when tested was 50mbs/s. https://imgur.com/a/sbPjFRt dont know what to do, just wanna install the mods for R.O
  25. i just downloaded CKAN but already have a bunch of mods i have manually added. is there a way to add my already installed mods to ckan so i dont have to redownload all of them? or do i need to go through CKAN and match which ones i already have, clear the mods that are already installed in the game data folder and start fresh? also if theres a mod i have that isnt in CKAN, can i still leave it installed and it not mess with CKAN? or should i just keep manually checking all my mods for updates?
