My wife gave me a very nice Christmas present this year that I just received today: a VIP pass for a photo and autograph with Nichelle Nichols! This was at Wizard World in Cleveland. She was very friendly and gracious, and, if she saw anything wrong with my somewhat-hastily-thrown-together TOS uniform, she didn't let on. Yup, it is right. I'm planning to make an animated KSP movie. (Now you read the first sentence, please don't yell "WHEN IT WILL COME OUT!" I have the general idea of a story: Years after (actually, 100 000's of years after) Voyager 1 """somehow""" ends up in a trajectory towards Kerbol as Kerbals discover it. Having no idea what it is, Mission Control will suspiciously redirect an "asteroid redirect" mission secretly to find out about the alien device, which will cause some rumours to spread through Kerbals. It will be a little like 2001, but, er..., in a Kerbal way, monolith replace
So it's January 1st once again and here I am wondering why I am still playing KSP and ignoring many of my AAA games in favour of a game that could be considered boring by many... but definitely not by me. You see, it's the old Lego and Minecraft thing... You only get out as much as you put into something. Games which are absolutely amazing like Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Tony Hawk 5... no... NO... DEFINITELY not Tony Hawk 5.... where was I? Oh yeah, those amazing games lose their shine because they are fixed in what you can do (even Fallout where you can now build settlements still is limited)
