  1. I have recently got into creating flags for my KSP saves. I followed the tutorial and kept it to 256x160. I saw a post somewhere saying that you could increase the size to 512x320. I want to know how big can the flag size be. Just it just have to be the correct ratio?
  2. Hi everyone, So here's a quick rundown of my current situation and some background. I'd made a nice spaceplane that I liked with added missiles and guns on it using BDArmory. I then decided to switch to making an AA vehicle, but not without saving the first plane. Once I had finished the building/testing process of the AA rover, the craft file for the spaceplane I had made magically disappeared. I looked around in my KSP>saves>(save name)>Ships>SPH directory but couldn't find anything. I searched around a bit on the web, and realized that I could reverse-engineer a craft file from a save. So that's what I did. I loaded my quicksave from before I kitted the plane out with mods and created a save. I used the craft rescuer tool on Kerbaltek, which was able to bring the stats of the plane and the amount of parts, ect. However, when I clicked load, KSP just did nothing. I looked around in the craft file with notepad, didn't find anything majorly broken. Also, since its was able to recover some of the information about the plane, including the name and part count/price, it didn't seem likely that the craft file was broken too badly. I'm not entirely sure of what to do. I could just recreate my craft (it wasn't all that complicated anyways) although that would be a bit of a bummer. I'm mostly looking for ways to either force load the file or open it in a separate editor, just to make sure there's nothing wrong with it, and if there is, how to fix it manually. Thanks for any help! EDIT: I just recreated the plane from screenshot that I took during flight in the save, but any help would still be appreciated just so I can figure out what to do in the future if a craft is too complex to screenshot and rebuild.
  3. I'm wondering what your GameData folder looks like. For those without mods, all there will be is a "squad" folder. I'm curious about how many mods you guys use. Here's mine: EDIT: does this go in the modded discussion, or is it good here?
  4. i have about 6-7 mods as im running this on a 2017 macbook air (yes i know, amazing that my house hasn't burnt down yet!) adn i tried putting a new one on that replaces some item textures, however it didn't work and now i am missing these pieces: docking port cupola hitch hiker storage mobile processing lab if anyone has the original game data and hasn't installed any mods that replace the textures of original parts could you pls message me, i need to fix this asap but i dont wanna lose my other mods or progress.
  5. There isn't much to to say about the question. I have a bunch of mods and I would like to tidy my Gamedata file up.
  6. Is there any way I can get only the original craft files that came with ksp back because I have put in a lot of other crafts, and I'm not sure which are the original files. If I can't do it, then can anyone please tell me the names of the og files? Thanks in advance.
  7. A guide to help people know common words used in the explanation of game crashes. (Basically like my TCIS's Guide To Words). Mono.dll: Mono.dll is KSP's memory. When your game crashes, and you check the 'error' file, roughly half of the time it says 'mono.dll caused an access violation in module mono.dll'. A simple way to fix this is to remove mods, thus relieving the strain on the memory. Output_log: When your game crashes, it usually produces an output_log. This log shows you the cause of the crash. A great way to get answers for your problem is to upload the log to a file sharing site (Dropbox, pastebin, etc), and then paste the link to it on the forums. Error: A file that is produced when your game crashes. While the output_log shows what happened when the game crashed, the error_log shows why it happened. This is an example log: mono.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005) in module mono.dll at 0023:1011940a. That shows what caused the crash, and what time it occurred. Access Violation: Simply put, an access violation is when a part stops working, and causes the game to crash. The '0xc' is an error code. If you want to suggest something to include, or for me to provide more information on a certain area, then let me know, TCIS
  8. So,I'm fairly new to the game and I wanted to orbit Kerbin to finish some contracts there. But I heard that orbiting Kerbin will be very hard without upgrading Tracking station. So i upgraded tracking station 2 times and continued with my mission. But then I couldn't launch spacecraft because I didn't have enough money.liquided off,I headed to game's save files and edited "persistent.sfs" with notepad.I added little bit just to get myself off the ground (literally) and press save. Then I couldn't change "persistent" file from text file to sfs.Can somebody help me?
  9. Anyone here like The X Files? Just wondering. Also, since, I'm a massive fan, I was literally jumping for joy when I saw this: https://arstechnica.com/the-multiverse/2017/04/the-x-files-will-be-back-for-another-10-episodes-in-2017-and-2018/
  10. So I was playing some KSP and all of a sudden it crashed. Nothing out of the ordinary really, it happens from time to time. But when i loaded up the game this time and hit resume saved, it showed no save files. I went into the save folder and all my saves were still there but they wouldn't show up in game. I tried restarting the game multiple times, restarting my computer, and I backed up my files on steam and uninstalled the game, then reinstalled it. I tried restoring a previous version of KSP through steam, although I probably did it incorrectly, and i saved my files in another folder on my computer in case something would happen to them. i tried copy pasting them back into the save folder in KSP as shown below but again, nothing. How can i fix this?
