  1. Are you tired of your Kerbals complaining about having nothing to do during long flights? Do you want to give them more buttons to push, and maybe some displays so they can keep track of what's going on? Then look no farther. RasterPropMonitor is a plugin and toolkit originally by Mihara that provides functional props within your IVA. It was originally designed for the displays of the ALCOR capsule, but it evolved to add more features and widgets, dragging the Kerbal Space Program into the 21st Century. RPM includes some overrides for stock capsules (and a few mod capsules) to show off what can be done, but there's far more in the plugin than these examples can show. DOWNLOAD: From GitHub. CKAN USERS: I do not support installing by CKAN. If you have questions regarding this mod being on CKAN, or missing from CKAN, you can talk to the people on the CKAN thread. If you installed this mod using CKAN, and you are having problems with it, you must uninstall this mod through CKAN and install it manually to make sure it is not a CKAN installer issue. If you have not taken that minimal step, I will not provide additional support. I am not involved with CKAN - installation issues need to be taken up with them. HOW TO GET HELP: Did you use CKAN? Look at the previous entry. Otherwise, read the first few entries in the FAQ on GitHub. DOCUMENTATION: Want to tweak an IVA to your liking? Documentation is on GitHub. RELEASE NOTES: On GitHub. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Also on GitHub. SOURCE CODE: Also on GitHub (notice a theme? ). LICENSE: GNU GPLv3. Props courtesy of alexustas and other contributors, and available under the terms of CC 3.0 BY-NC-SA. Portions of this package are derived from stock textures by Squad and are distributed according to Squad policy of permitting to distribute stock assets with mods if required. TinyPirate's 2-minute-mod review: Add-ons for RasterPropMonitor: Plugins that integrate with RasterPropMonitor, enhancing the IVA experience. Astrogator, for planning transfers between worlds. Docking Port Alignment Indicator, to make IVA docking much, much easier. NavUtilities, providing ILS and HSI in the cockpit. SCANsat, for map views on the MFDs. VesselView, for graphical representations of your craft. Plugins RasterPropMonitor can interact with, enhancing the IVA experience even more. Ferram Aerospace Research: for FAR-computed variables, as well as controlling flaps and spoilers from IVA. MechJeb: for all sorts of auto-pilot features and flight information. RealChute: RPM can arm, disarm, deploy, and cut RealChute parachutes (as well as deploying and cutting stock 'chutes). RasterPropMonitor contains example props based on stock internal props. If you want to create a really good looking IVA, you should consider grabbing Alexustas' ASET Props. It implements more of RPM's features than any other mod I've seen. Even better, ASET Avionics provides props for space planes (or any other IVA wanting some aviation-styled props). Projects using RasterPropMonitor: Aerokerbin Industries Modified IVAs by MasseFlieger. The ALCOR capsule and ERS rover by alexustas. CST-100 7-seat crew vehicle by xxhansonmaxx Falcon Drone cockpit Home Grown Rockets KSA IVA Upgrade Mk3 Pod IVA Replacement by Apex Don't see a current IVA project on this list? Let me know. I may have missed it, or I may not have imported it from the original RPM thread. Speaking of which... Mihara had more to say about RPM on the original thread (and I'll edit this post some time down the road to include more of the links and info he had).
  2. Hello, everyone! For a few months now, I've been working on ASET IVAs for both Squad stock and mod cockpits. Modifying @alexustas's excellent ASET Avionics and ASET Props assets (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0), as well as a couple from @Mallikas's Aviation Cockpits mods (CC BY 4.0), my major focus has been on WW2-styled craft. Almost ready for release is the Vintage Kerbonov KN-2! I've also been working on a P-51 inspired version of the Mk1 Inline Cockpit, and an ASET version of one of the helicopter cockpits from @blackheart612's Airplane Plus mod. Once I saw that @Sam Hall had updated his fantastic Kerbonov mod for 1.2.x, I knew I had to make a 1940s-style RPM IVA. I always loved the KN-2, and I based my cockpit layout heavily on pictures of DC-3 and C-47 cockpits, both from the 1940s and some modernized ones. For the KN-2, I decided to kitbash autopilot props, as the DC-3 did historically have a gyroscopic autopilot. All the autopilot props are modified versions of ASET props, and require the Pilot Assistant mod to work. The "Vintage" version of the KN-2 does not replace the standard KN-2, but adds a new cockpit using the same model earlier in the tech tree. I plan to make an "Updated" version. For the bomber controls, you need Firespitter's props folder found here, as well as the most recent firespitter.dll, and for the fire extinguisher (nonfunctional), you need Airplane Plus. All other instruments are included or require the ASET Props and Avionics Packs. Obviously you will need the Kerbonov itself, and Raster Prop Monitor as well. Warbird Mk1 Inline The download (v. 0.1-1 BETA) includes the Vintage Kerbonov KN-2 and Warbird Mk1 Inline cockpits, as well as some cfgbashed parts I found useful: a couple of small wing parts useful for WW2 fighter vertical stabilizers, a "medium turbojet" engine based on the P-80 Shooting Star, and an active "Warbird Radiator" based on the old radial intake from pre-Porkjet KSP. SPACEDOCK DOWNLOAD Kerbonov Autopilot fix is here: DROPBOX DOWNLOAD. Drop that into your GameData/Galen/WarbirdCockpits/Spaces/Kerbonov folder. Requirements: modulemanager by Sarbian Raster Prop Monitor by Mihara and MOARdV ASET Props and Avionics by alexustas Recommended: Kerbonov by Sam Hall. Required for Vintage KN-2. Firespitter (dll and Props folder) by Snjo and RoverDude. Required for Vintage controls in KN-2 cockpit. Airplane Plus by blackheart612, KAX by keptin, and/or SXT Continued by Lack and linuxgurugamer. Because why have Warbird Cockpits without warbird propellers? Speed Unit Changer by Ittito. The readouts on the gauges are in Imperial units (feet and mph rather than meters and m/s), and Speed Unit Changer can make the UI readouts in the same units as well.
  3. Since the most recent maintainers seem to have decided not to continue this mod, I have gone ahead and updated it. This mod adds a "Mission Control" IVA to unkerballed vessels. -Supports either standard RasterPropMonitor MFDs or the ASET versions. -Configuration option to force control room only for probe vessels (no external view). Requirements: -Module Manager -RasterPropMonitor -[Optional] ASET Props -***NOTE*** If you are using ScanSat, you currently need the dev version of ScanSat to avoid a problem with RPM displays going unresponsive. ***NOTE*** Download/Source: https://github.com/Virindi-AC/KSP-ProbeControlRoom/releases Changelog: 1.2.2.6 -Fix broken sun effects in normal IVAs after going into PCRIVA -Disable vessel labels while in PCRIVA -Disable part highlighters while in PCRIVA -Change enter room hotkey to be like a normal keybinding -Make the room lights brighter -Improve preservation of camera when restarting PCRIVA in a new room -Fix a bunch of exceptions caused by interactions with the DeepFreeze mod 1.2.2.5 -Fix a large number of cases where you can end up stuck inside a probe core looking out at the world rather than in the control room. -Fix problems on decoupling parts from the ship, and persist the camera when this happens. -Fix interaction with stock IVA. Previously, sometimes an invisible control room would exist while you were inside a stock IVA. This would block some button clicks in the IVA. 4. PLEASE READ THIS: The IVAs in this mod are technology demonstration IVAs. I update them as needed to test or demonstrate features. You can probably get a lot of mileage out of them, but don't expect them to be fully-developed gameplay IVAs. What is it? MOARdV's Avionics Systems (MAS) is a replacement for Mihara's RasterPropMonitor. The goal of MAS is to provide an updated flexible toolkit for creating interactive IVA experiences in KSP. What isn't it? It is NOT a collection of ready-to-go IVAs. It also does not have a complete collection of MAS-enabled props (yet). MAS is intended to be a toolkit, like alexustas's ASET Props and ASET Avionics. I have included partial cockpits for the Mk3-9 from Nertea's Near Future Spacecraft, the BDB Kane, and the Yarbrough08 Mk. 1-1 A2. What works? Many of the variables from RPM have equivalents in MAS, and most/all of the RPM prop modules have equivalents as well (eg, JSIActionGroupSwitch, JSILabel, etc). There should be enough there to do almost anything in an IVA, except... What doesn't work? I have not implemented tie-ins with mods that use the RPM interface system (such as SCANsat, VesselViewer, and DPAI). If you really need a SCANsat display, you'll need to have an RPM monitor installed somewhere, or wait until I finish those components. How do I make MAS IVAs? Download the dev build from GitHub. Download some props. Look at the example prop configs in MOARdV/MAS_ASET. Look at the example IVAs. Look at the wiki on GitHub to see what functionality is available and to see some introductory prop config walkthroughs. Brush up on Lua, if you really want to push MAS to the extremes. The props configs in MAS_ASET use models from the ASET dev build (available on the ASET Props thread). CKAN? No. This is a dev build. Other questions? There's an FAQ in the wiki on GitHub. If that doesn't answer the question, post it here. Download: GitHub Source: GitHub License: The MAS plugin uses the MIT license. Other licenses are documented on GitHub and in the download. Documentation: The MAS Wiki on GitHub has a fair amount of documentation, including some examples.
  5. RasterPropMonitor v0.29.0 for Kerbal Space Program version 1.3 has a final release! https://github.com/Mihara/RasterPropMonitor/releases Does anyone know of a means to donate to the contributors of github?!
  6. Have you ever wanted an excuse to spend more time in IVA, but found the lack of useful info in the stock IVA props a problem? Look no further. Flight Systems Redux contains additional IVA props from alexustas, and it includes IVAs for the FASA Gemini and Yarbrough Mk. 1-1 A2 command pods. The Mk1. 1-1 A2 IVA is a modernized cockpit including MFDs. It is currently about 80% complete. Most MFDs are "stock" RPM basic MFDs - they will be replaced with my own pages as I get to them. The FASA Gemini pod is 95% complete. It is a retro style IVA with analog gauges and only a handful of digital numeric readouts. In addition, this pack adds a docking camera and radar to the FASA Gemini nosecone, and it retrofits an external camera to the FASA Probe Camera, converting it into a periscope. The package includes many props from alexustas that have not been released in his ASET Props and ASET Avionics pack, including a number of retro-NASA style instruments and aircraft gauges. DOWNLOAD: Available on GitHub. DOCUMENTATION: Basic instructions are available on the GitHub wiki. I strongly recommend looking at the various "How to" pages to get instructions on how to operate and understand the more complex instruments. The IVA documentation is not complete. It's still a work in progress. REQUIREMENTS: The following are all requirements for using FlightSystemsRedux (and not included in this package): * ASET Avionics Pack v1.0 or later * ASET Props Pack v1.3 or later * FASA v5.44 or later * Module Manager v2.6.18 or later * RasterPropMonitor v0.24.2 or later * Yarbrough alpha 0.4 or later LICENSE: "Flight Systems for FASA Gemini" by MOARdV is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. This mod includes props created by Alexustas, included under the terms of CC 3.0 BY-NC-SA.
  7. About This Mod This is a small MM patch that integrates JSI Radar and JSI External Camera from RPM into all of the stock docking ports. I love RPM and the features it provides, but always wished the external camera viewer was integrated directly into the docking ports. I then discovered the JSI Radar feature when I used the FASA Gemini RPM IVA from Flight Systems Redux and just loved it. I decided to integrate both the radar and the camera into the stock docking ports so that no extra parts were needed with the added advantage that they'll always be centered. Dependencies: Module Manager Raster Prop Monitor Recommended: SSTULabs-added compatibility with SSTU Command Pods and docking ports License: GPLv3 Download: -GitHub -Spacedock Installation: Extract "JSI Docking Ports" folder from ZIP file and copy it into your Gamedata folder. Enjoy!!
  8. IVA Editing/Creation

Hello, i was wondering if anyone knows how to add props in the IVA's, Particularly the Mk3 Shuttle IVA, I wanted to add an RPM HUD To it but have no clue how to add it in, i have the IVA Model and everything but have no clue how to run it through unity and make it work.
