    Kerbal Powers Roleplay

    Link Welcome to Kerbal Powers, an iteration of Kerbal Political Roleplay. A game designed to allow you your own little slice of the Kerbol System where you can create a nation, organisation, or private entity in the small system. Join a world of over 50 player nations and half as many NPCs Our play on the RP premise is based on an RP first method of gameplay with a strong KSP building ethos to back that up, we operate with a pre-approved modpack. The game runs at a slower pace, around a scale of about 18:1. It lets players stay engaged in the game regardless of how much time in the week they get. Discord Come to discord for quicker information than forum messages on how to play. Discord is not required to play. Advice for inexperienced players You're most likely not a superpower Losing a war isn't the end of the world, no nation has been annexed. Please use the flairs Larger the nation larger the target No coast means no navy Don't touch the KSC (Personal) Stop adding the letter K to things and calling it a day What is a roleplay? In the RP you play the role of a nation, corporation, or NGO. All decisions are yours to control. However be aware that other players might not like your choices and there may be consequences to your actions. The user creates their own nation within some limits established by the rules, and goes to work involving themselves in an interactive world established by other users like them. Change in leadership doesn't change that you control your role but it gives you an excuse to change national or personality traits. Everything within your nation is within your control. The game as a whole could be described as collaborative writing with KSP. How do wars happen? Warfare occurs using a large scale map for movements with individual battles being decided using the game itself as standard. Depending on the people involved it can vary from almost entirely writing to almost entirely inside the game. There is a fully detailed set of combat rules for any interested. Are there any NO-GOs? Some actions, while not against the rules, are poor form and will possibly get you invaded. Annexing great deals of land Going on leave while in a war Killing other player's named characters Copying craft Going to war for OOC reasons(semi-against rules) How do I make a country? You can apply to join HERE You just need a name, flag, and plot of unclaimed land before going in.

Kerbal Powers a political roleplay game set on Kerbin Note to anybody who thinks that this contradicts the anti-RP rule: I have asked @Vanamonde whether I am allowed to recruit on the forum, and he permitted me to do so. No actual roleplaying is permitted to occur on this forum or specifically in this thread. Violations of this rule will lead to moderation actions. Kerbal Powers is a Reddit-based roleplaying community that bears many resemblances to the classic forum roleplay of KSP’s early era (and is frequented by many veterans). Nevertheless, we are also open to new players, as long as they are wishing to contribute interesting and meaningful content. Whether you like BD combat, political intrigue or complex economies: Kerbal Powers is an interesting place for you to prove yourself. Commanding a country on the planet Kerbin, it is up to you to decide whether you will advance it through space colonization, trade or military conquest. Will you turn your nation into a socialist utopia or will you choose to oppress your kerbals in a fierce totalitarian dictatorship? Or will you rather create a megacorporation and offer your services to the world's superpowers? Upon applying for entrance, you will be able to choose your territory (if you want to make a country) and political ideology. We have a custom economical system and simulate military conflict by means of AI BD Armory battles (a limited modpack which you can find on our reddit includes this mod). However, text-based roleplay still plays a great role (no pun intended) in the game. All veterans of the old forum roleplay will feel at home in Kerbal Powers. Interested? Come and join us!
  3. I watched @Matt Lowne's Hard Mode submission for the Reddit Roads to Duna challenge and wondered if I could do the same thing with a space plane. And not just launching the same space plane five times, but launching that thing once, and servicing it at each landing. Channeling my inner @Cupcake..., I came up with this. I'm still uploading as I post this and I have two copyright disputes to submit, so please bear with any delays. Matt's the trail blazer though; the module design is almost all his. But think about what that crew has to do each time you hit that Launch button. Not to mention @Thrimm's original LTS Kestrel design made this possible. Remarkably, after recovering all support craft and crew, the mission cost less than the space plane used to send it up there. But I'd rather not spend four days of off-time making another one of these... where does Cupcake Landers get the time to do these?
  4. So the Reddit for KSP isn't an official thing from what I've quickly searched, but weekly challenges appear there and there was one that caught my attention. I an not a Reddit member and don't wish to be, though I'd still like to submit Reddit challenge responses to here. Would it make more sense to post such things to Challenges or to Mission Reports? I figured Mission Reports made more sense since they aren't forum challenges, but maybe folks already post Reddit challenge responses to Challenges here.
  5. At this time, i'm almost ready to succeed the reddit w30*2017 challenge in hard mode - launch a ship from Kerbin, land on Eve, mine Ore, take off and bring 300 Ore to Gilly. Still struggling to bring the ship from Kerbin orbit to Eve orbit (in one launch)

I'm surprised that this was posted on Reddit an hour ago and hasn't been reposted here yet. submitted an hour ago by NathanKellRSS Dev/Former Dev All good things must come to an end, and so it is for us. It is time for each of us to move on from Squad. Kerbal Space Program is an incredible game and has truly been a joy to create. We have greatly enjoyed working together with such a tightly-knit, professional, and talented development team, and with such a wonderful community. Over the last update cycle we’ve taken KSP to new heights and achieved great things with such a small team. We’ve finished work on update 1.2 and when Squad releases it, it will be a product of which we can be truly proud. We hope you share that opinion and we hope you enjoy playing it as much as we loved creating it. Thank you all for the incredible community support. So long, and thanks for all the snacks!
