  1. This mod is intended to give your celestial bodies the greeting they deserve each day! Thanks to @blackrack for creating Scatterer, which allowed me the opportunity to give back to this awesome community. Latest version: 1.8.0 LET ME SEE YOUR SCREENSHOTS! Quality over quantity. My last update for this was rushed and awful, to be honest. I decided to slow down my production and focus on the quality of these new sun flares. This version includes: 3 brand new sun flares, with red, white, and blue variations. So, really there are 9 new sun flares. Every sun flare includes immersive dust particles on the lenses. Not sure if its possible, but it looks cool. The sun flares are now individually packaged to cut down on download size tremendously. The sun flares no longer overwrite Scatterer's default textures, instead everything is implemented through Module manager. TO INSTALL: Download and install Scatterer Drop the GSF folder into your GameData folder DOWNLOAD I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DISTANT OBJECT ENHANCEMENT FOR DYNAMIC SKY DIMMING Enjoy!   3. Hello All. I have accepted a sun flyby contract and I'm having a small issue. The game does not allow you to set the sun as a target, therefore, I am not sure how to aim for it. This is my first attempt at leaving Kerbin space before accepting the explore Duna contract. Any tips?
  4. this is a challenge to crash into the sun as fast as you can. you have to have a video of you doing it, from launch to crash, the timer will be of the real life time it took so no speeding up video and no physics warp. time warp is allowed. only rule: no cheats, stock or non stock but must be said which. it can be any controllable payload. if you just can't have a video then post a picture of the complete craft and the time, what my time is shows you what kind of time I'm looking for. my attempt, which won't count towards the leader board: leaderboard: 1.   5. When it comes to tourists contracts, what's the difference between a sun fly-by and a sun orbit requirement? Or is it just the wording that's different and they both just need you to pop out of Kerbins SOI and back?
  6. I can't seem to find a corona texture generator. I need it for a blue star.
  7. I edited Kerbin with Kopernicus mod and the wrong side of the planet is lit up, i have no idea how to fix it. And i have no idea how to remove oceans on Kerbin. To fix : Issue 1 - Convert the normal map to ".dds", Issue 2 - Add this to the config file : @Kopernicus:AFTER[Kopernicus] { @Body[Kerbin] { @Template { removeOcean = true } } }
  8. hi , i have signed a mission to put a station in the orbit of the sun.. ie solar orbit.. i have build up station put everything on board as was asked in the contract(antennae,docking port etc) .. now when my station is in orbit around sun ,, all the parameters required are green except "have your station near the sun" although i am in solar orbit just escaped the Kerban .. howc close do i have to get in..? any idea? i have tried reducing the orbit slightly but it dsnt work..
  9. Ok so I don't have an entry yet but I'm working on one already so maybe it's okay to make this challenge. Also I searched a little but couldn't find anything just like this. So briefly: Send one or more kerbal(s) as close to kerbol as you can and bring them back to kerbin alive. Rules: 1. No cheat menu or other stupid cheating attempts 2. No mods that alter physics. Visual and informative mods are ok 3. Hyperedit is allowed for testing purposes but not on the actual mission 4. Must be manned and able to return to kerbin safely obviously 5. This is a little weirder BUT STILL VERY IMPORTANT!! Absolutely no timewarping 1min prior to and 1min after your kerbol periapsis since that seems to alter how heat works. So at least 1min before your kerbol periapsis set time warp to x1 and don't accelerate it before you are at least 1min past your pe (not even x2 x3 or x4 warp). Otherwise you are free to timewarp as much as you like. 6. Take screenshots or video. On case of screenshots the rule number 5 must be based on honor code. I trust you are all honest anyway 7. That's all I can think of Oh yeah, use either 1.05 or 1.1 I'll make seperate leaderboards if necessary. Score is your closest distance to kerbol. Simple. And lastly to give you some benchmark to try and beat. My ship that is still WIP is able to clear a kerbol pe of about 80Mm but I still need a way to send it there and back (I play 1.1 so new inflatable heatshield is a thing. I vaguely remember that when I tried 1.1 I got something like 140Mm but that might be just me remembering wrong.) Oh and have fun and fly safe.
