Atmospheric Entry Flipping Solutions?

Recommended Posts

So, I have this Eve Lander:

It's coming in for entry into Eve's atmosphere (with FAR and DRE installed among other mods), and every time I try to do it, it will always flip round, and then proceeds to burn up.

I know that technically the top is lower drag than the bottom with that big flat heatshield, but the only way I think to solve it is to add another inflatable heatshield at the top of the rocket to balance it, as chutes obviously won't work in re-entry; but I'm in no position to do that currently, and don't really want to have to.

Does anyone have any tips to stop this happening? With Kerbin just the SAS using RW's or RCS can pretty much always hold the craft's orientation, but Eve is a completely different beast, and I can't seem to stop the flips...

Oh, and for anyone suggesting using "Hold Retrograde", I'm running 0.25 KSP, so that's kind of impossible... :P
