Tweakscale versions break game.

Recommended Posts

So tweakscale is breaking my game, permanently.

Even after everything associated with tweakscale is removed from game data, game continues to crash.

Tried 1.44, 1.47, and 1.5

The only way to undo the damage I have found is to delete EVERYTHING in the game data folder. Verify through steam.

Other mods:

Infernal robotics. Camera Tools, KerbCAM, Enviro visual Enhancement, Kittopia, Ambient light, Collision FX, Distant Object Enhancement, Hyperedit and texture replacer.

This is driving me insane because I want to use Infernal robotics but find the parts too big.

As a general rule, I recommend not using outdated mods on unsupported versions of KSP. TweakScale 1.44 and 1.47 were intended for KSP 0.25.

Have you tried [thread=110899]pellinor's updates[/thread]? Biotronic is not currently working on TweakScale.

Otherwise, a copy of your output log might help track down the issue. Typically, there's a copy in the crash folder, but the log itself is always generated. If you're not sure where it is, read the [thread=92229]How to Get Support[/thread] sticky.

The crash itself is a result of running out of memory:

DynamicHeapAllocator out of memory - Could not get memory for large allocation

Could not allocate memory: System out of memory!

I see that your running 32-bit KSP on Windows from Steam. Is your Windows version 64-bit or 32-bit? On 32-bit Windows, KSP will be limited to 2 GB of memory, but on 64-bit Windows it will be limited to about 3.5 GB.

The likely culprits here are EVE, Texture Replacer, and the planet packs (if you reinstall them) – they can involve enormous textures. I'd suggest removing at least one of those mods and/or installing [thread=59005]Active Texture Management[/thread].

I had been having more success launching the 64 bit version of KSP, (W7 64 bit) I really do need to buy new memory, it was something I had planned to expand 6 years ago when I built this comp and bought 4GB, (I think my mobo can handle 16) but never got round to it. I almost forgot about memory limitations, I hardly ever run into them. Gotta love KSP for testing the system.

Turns out I did buy 8gb. Now I'm even more confused.
