Vaguely political, but the part that causes facepalming is not:

Breaking news:

Chinese subs imitate Chinese fish by using water to hide!

Jeb Kerman, the lead scientist on the project, says that it was a "Lightning bolt" moment. Shortly after being released from a hospital (See page 5 "Jeb survives again") he noticed that fish were hard to see underwater! "That was really a turning point for me," the internationally acclaimed "King of biomimicry" said. His next break-through was in propulsion, specifically, as he says: "It's hard to move subs when they're out of the water." This lead to the abandonment of the first prototype, still inside his inland lab. The next prototype is going to be built closer to the water. Stay tuned, there will no doubt be many exciting discoveries to come. A assistant in his lab offered this comment:

(No offense.)

Seriously. This thread from the start makes me annoyed. People are acting arrogant. Especially with the "This guy I saw on the street said that Orion is interstellar, but really it's interplanetary Hurr, Facepalm"

Sure, there are good things in the thread, that make sense. Like the above post of "Water hides submarines". But everything else, isn't as such.

Some posts are indeed exaggerating but most of this thread is about real facepalm-inducing things and it's actually very funny. All of this anti-evolution, flat earth and "Rockets don't work in a vacuum" stuff is actually hilarious.(the conspirationists are always-ALWAYS.-the funniest

Guys, people are probably going to get upset at me for saying this, but personally, I think this thread needs to be shut down.

I was looking back a few posts and what I have seen is not right. I mean, heck, we are probably one of the best gaming communities online, so let's stick together.

This thread was made in a good sense, but I think it is getting out of hand.

Anyway, that is my opinion.

DMSP is out. Peace.

RULES:

*NEVER make fun of anyone specifically. Just mention the thing they said.

*STAY ON TOPIC

*Do NOT refer to other's posts on this forum. That hasn't ended well in the past.

Worth reposting. Maybe the title should be, "What Are Things You've Heard That Would Make Every KSP Player Facepalm And Insult None Of Them"

Third most read newspaper in Britain.

It looks like a 1960's Doctor Who villain. I mean, it's got the posture of someone strolling along the street in a 3rd rate musical. And the second photo is 100% tree viewed through the eyes of a potato.

Also, courtesy of the 1960's, not really that connected to this thread but still:

From the site's homepage:

"Welcome to the web site for the Dihydrogen Monoxide Research Division (DMRD), currently located in Newark, Delaware. The controversy surrounding dihydrogen monoxide has never been more widely debated, and the goal of this site is to provide an unbiased data clearinghouse and a forum for public discussion."

Dihydrogen Monoxide, aka H2O, AKA WATER.

This gives me hope for humanity.
