Problem in 1.0

So i just launched 1.0 and at any time in the game, from the main menu to gameplay, i get those black stripes on top and on the bottom of my screen. (it's like its too thin for my screen, wich is almost squared) I tried changing it to windowed mode and this doesnt happen. However every time i get into fullscreen mode, i get those... Anyone knows a fix ? Is it that I am completely stupid and this is very simple ? This is extremely annoying. (ruins my 1.0 hype ! :/ )

Try deleting the settings.cfg file in the KSP folder and starting the game again.

EDIT : I'm on steam, windows 8.1 by the way. Got a fix ?

Please check what resolution is specified in the game settings.

Changing the res to 1280 x1024 will do the trick, but the "loading" icon is half out of the screen.

And this resolution is WAY too high for my screen, everything looks awful with it.

EDIT : just saw your 2nd post. Stuff is wrong with any of the resolutions available...

Change the resolution to your preferred one (what's your monitor resolution)? And then restart the game, that should resolve UI inconsistencies.

I can confirm loading icon is half off the screen in 1280x1024 (my native resolution). Not a big deal, though, the rest of UI is perfectly fine.

- The message "Loading" (after clicking the launch button in the VAB) appears partly off screen.

- After reverting flight the launch pad sometimes appears very zoomed out (like in 0.90)

Um, my bad, indeed, "loading" wasn't fitting only on first launch. Can't reproduce it anymore no matter how much I switch resolutions, windowed/fullscreen mode, etc.
