1.0 missing graphics

i just downloaded and opened ksp 1.0 and noticed almost imidetly some graphics were missing here is some screenshots

Verified Steam cache? If you have it could be the graphics shaders, depends on your hardware though so please post your logs

im not using steam got it from the new store and some graphics work perfectly?

Are you using the same settings.cfg you used for .90?

Does renaming it so KSP makes a new file fix this issue?

Fallback mode is not good, it's for much older cards than most players own, I'd not use that setting to be honest.

Turning it off did not make a difference only lagged my game

The KSP.log can be found in the KSP folder, the output_log.txt in the KSPData folder.

Hmm, do you usually run KSP from the desktop? the trouble with this is that Windows Data Execution Prevention will interfere and prevent KSP from writing some files or compiling some assets correctly.

Please copy your current KSP install to a non-Windows folder such as C:\Games\KSP_1.0 and run the copy, if it works the original can be deleted

I have always run it from that desktop the demo and 0.9 work without a problem I copied it onto a usb still the same problem and I can't attach it to that game folder without a password that I do not have but tomorrow I will try it on a different computer to see if it is just mine causing the problems

It works on the other computer perfectly fine but I can't tell if it from the computer or flash drive

I've got exactly the same problem. It first started with the KSP update that had asteroids (can't remember the version number), all other textures seemed fine apart from asteroids, which were pitch black. The problem persisted in every version since then, affecting only the asteroid texture.

Tried out v1.0 yesterday and there's a lot more textures that are broken now I guess it's because I've got a potato for a graphics card (Win 7/i945GM)

Same problem here, and I came to the same conclusion: toaster for a computer and potato for a graphics card. Kind of disappointing, but this certainly isn't the first time that games I've enjoyed have bloated beyond my system specs as the updates progress.

You should see my computer trying to run tf2 it's not a pretty sight

also changing the graphics helps a littles
