Having .91 and 1.0 installed.

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to have both new and old versions of ksp installed? ive made alot of progress in .9 and i would like to keep that stuff if possible while also being able to play 1. i.e. two separate games?

Lucky You

The game doesnt need to be in any specific folder.

Example:

2 Partitions [E: F:]

KSP installed under E:\Games\KSP\

copy-paste the contents of \KSP\ folder to F:\Yomama\ and the game still works

if you dont have a backup of .90 the only way is to ask someone who has it.

i dont think SQUAD will release any .90 or older versions from now on

This is incorrect, version 0.90 is still available from the KSP website. You can re-download it and install it into a different folder, as noted above. Then, you can copy your save file from the updated copy to your new 0.90 install, and everything should work nicely.

If you bought the game through Steam, I would imagine it's possible do do something similar, but I'm not the guy to ask about that.

The game won't auto-update itself. However, if you are running steam, steam might update for you.

As was stated, if you are downloading from the store, just unzip the new download to a new directory.

Cheers,
