Unable to load mono library

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I am kind of stuck. Just downloaded the 1.0 version of KSP and installed it next to the beta version.

The beta launcher (still) starts fine, the 1.0 launcher doesn't start.

The exact error is "Unable to load mono library from /home/user/Games/KSP_linux/Launcher_Data/Mono (x86_64)"

I tried updating the mono library, it is up to date.

System is a fresh install with current NVIDIA drivers.

Any ideas?

(BTW, the game starts, it is the launcher which has the issues)

Hmm, KSP uses the Mono library built into Unity, not the one from the repos so updating that won't do a lot here, do you have both the x86 and x86_64 launchers or just one? Also please provide your system info.

Al right, I just checked the 32 bit launcher, that starts up fine. (For 0.90, both work)

Systemspecs:

OS: Linux 3.13 LinuxMint 17.1 64bit

CPU: Intel® Core i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz (8)

RAM: 16025

GPU: GeForce GTX 980/PCIe/SSE2 (4096MB)

SM: 30 (OpenGL 4.5 [4.5.0 NVIDIA 346.59])

RT Formats: ARGB32, Depth, ARGBHalf, RGB565, ARGB4444, ARGB1555, Default, DefaultHDR, ARGBFloat, RGFloat, RGHalf, RFloat, RHalf, R8

Just tried all versions of .90, they run fine. It is only the 64 bit launcher that is included with 1.0 that seems to be the issue.

I have the same problem but its KSP itself that's not launching.

Hi. Given this report is for an old version of KSP and its no-longer-supported launcher, you might want to post this as a new thread. Don't forget to include a link to your output.log file and any other relevant information.
