Version 2.2.5 for Kerbal Space Program 1.2

Released on 2016-10-20

  • Fixed Symmetric Part Switching
  • Updated MiniAVC to KSP 1.2 compatible version (which fixes exception in log))
  • Update CRP to 0.6.1

So this was caused by the symmetry used? interesting.

Keep up the good work :)

It quite amzing this bug was under the radar for so long consideren how many people use it. The Bug only started to manifest realy ugly (with exception and graphic glitches) after KSP 1.2 but the core of the problmes was much deeper and most of the time you wouldn't notice it unless you would look at the information of the mirror part which was wrong. The rerason why it wasn't a problem most of the time is because it would correct itself outside the VAB.

So is the price of the fuel tanks on purpose higher than in the stock? It is interesting that the price changes ones you click on the tanks. If in stock the fuel tank costs 13000 with the fuel. With the mod the dry mass of the tank is 13000 and with the fuel it ends up at 19610.

I'm interested in adding USI-LS resources (Supplies & Mulch) to the list of options for IFS tanks. Has someone done this already or could you point me to where I can learn to make this change myself? I looked through  the .cfg files and it wasn't clear where I'd make such a change.

Thanks!

Well basicly you add an item to all comma seperate lists

So I'm seeing odd behaviour with switching fuels in all my tanks; only Liquid Fuel and/or Oxidizer are available, not Monopropellant. Only tanks which I can get to have Monoprop are the radial tanks built for that alone.

Well, fuel switching for specific fuel/propellant only becomes available after you have unlocked the appropriate technology

Version 2.2.6 for Kerbal Space Program 1.2

Released on 2016-10-23

  • Updated CRP to 0.6.2
  • Added: Initial tank will always have it original cost preserved
  • Balance: Given new IFS tanks more appropriate CTT Technode requirement

All of my existing on-craft IFS / FTP Xenon tanks have spontaneously converted to LiquidFuel. :D
All ion missions in my Kerbal Alarm Clock queue are screwed.
I only noticed this after updating IFS. This could have happened at any point between IFS releases, and it may not have been caused by the IFS update. In fact, it seems unlikely that IFS could be responsible unless fuels got re-indexed or IFS touches save files.

Hi, this mod just causes me to be spammed with errors like this (but for each tank type)...

no "liquidChamicals" tank type in the library. Configuration of "FL-R10 RCS Fuel Tank" is invalid

And all of my tanks are empty, and unable to be filled.

Does this mod conflict with any other mod?

Hi, I've narrowed down a strange UI glitch in the VAB to having version 2.2.6 of IFS installed (and nothing else except for Module Manager and the CRP it comes with).

When displaying (by pointing at or clicking on) the Engineer's Report or Contracts options on the stock toolbar, they are frequently not drawn correctly, with the text either absent or covered up, although some icons are faintly visible. While moving the mouse around, this effect flickers, and it's possible (but very tricky) to stop the mouse pointer in positions which make them display normally, but as soon as you move it the problem reappears. The load craft menu, if a sufficiently long list of craft files is present, also exhibits display glitches, with part of the craft list appearing near the bottom edge of the screen as you scroll the list. This effect happens only when the contracts and report options look wrong, and also flickers as the mouse moves.

(Yes I know two of those show KER and Transfer Window Planner on the toolbar. Those pictures were taken while I was in the process of removing mods to find out which was the cause. The problem happens only if this mod is installed, regardless of what else is.)

pretty sure this was a stock issue related to the UI flickering in the parts menu, and it was fixed in KSP v1.2.1

Version 2.2.7 for Kerbal Space Program 1.2.1

Released on 2016-11-03

  • Compiled against KSP 1.2.1
  • Added property adaptiveTankSelection (default true) which will ensure that similar tank selection is found when configuration tank name changes
  • Added missing descriptions for Cryogenic tanks

After upgrading to 2.2.7 all of my vessels switched fuel from hydrazine to liquid hydrogen :( Also all of the tanks are full now... A miracle! Still with liquid hydrogen some of them would not make it back home.

UPD: It appears that not only existing ships are affected but new ones as well. I built this rover just to test:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/d2mxr6za02357s2/IRSU-2.craft?dl=0

It has Liquid Ammonia, Hydrazine, Water, Nitrogen and Hydrogen tanks - all are empty, still, when it's loaded, all tanks except the ones that should store ammonia show full volume of Liquid Hydrogen instead.

I checked the .craft file, the rover is saved with correct resources. It's when it's loaded the fuel tank setup switches back to hydrogen.

Here is the log file:

I also ran into a problem with 2.2.7, existing vessels with Metal and RocketParts tanks turned into Ore, and my SimpleConstruction ports failed to get RocketParts even after I switched the tanks back and gathered those resources. Reverting to 2.2.6 and reloading from an older save fixes the issue.

How does the adaptiveTankSelection work? Maybe an issue there?

Don't worry, you are not getting crazy. I have the exact same problem with all of my Nuclear planes that use Methane as propellant. I edit them to have Methane in the tanks and when I get them to the landing pad, they revert to Hydrogen.

I have a problem with LF and O not transferring to a newly built ship (EL)

scenario 1: Ship built using EL Orbital launch pad, mono transferrs upon ship release (as does metal and rocket parts) but LF and O do not (volume is deducted from station stores but not credited to new ship)

scenario 2: Ship built using Kerbal Hacks Ashphalt tiles landing pad (configured as a build platform using your? MM script I believe) same result, mono, metal and rocket parts transfer on release LF an O do not, with volume deducted from source but not credited to new ship.

Removing Interstellar fuel switch fixes the issue

I have the save issue as cicatrix.

My running mission has Interstellar Fuel Tanks X16 containing liquid fuel that are now filled with liquid hydrogen. Also the log looks similar, except that my tanks contain liquid fuel instead of Hydrazine.

InsterstellarFuelSwitch OnStart part currently has following resources: LqdHydrogen;LiquidFuel

I also wonder why the log says that there are two recource types in my tanks. That seems to be the reason why they are now filled with liquid hydrogen. I looked in the save file, but could not find any reference to LqdHydrogen.

When I build a simple "rocket" that only contains one of these fuel tanks filled with liquid fuel and a probe core and I lauch that mission, the tank is suddenly filled with liquid hydrogen again.

After that I tried to downgrade the mod step by step down to version 2.2.4 - no change.

Would be nice if anyone found a solution for that :)
