Anyone else experiencing weird atmospheric effects with asteroids?

For me asteroids just keep on going when there in the atmosphere and wont slow down, anyone else having this problem?

if you use time warp (the space one not physical time warp) it puts everything on rails and ignores atmospheres- their drawn paths will not change even if they are going through kerbin

Might be the new drag system. A huge mass like a big rock won't slow much before hitting the ground.

Why would they slow down? Their frontal area is quite small.

The admin building would have been better used for flight planning. Setting launch dates and displaying transfer windows + kerbal alarm clock.

I recently stalked an asteroid headed for Kerbin. It seemed to heat up at the front, but then it just disappeared at around 30000m just after the second image here http://imgur.com/a/y8Ap1

@Pontus_p I belive your problem was cause by the roid going out of physics range under 22km and getting deleted. Did you do this before 1.0?

I don't think so. Look at the pic, I was about 300m from it when it disappeared. I did it the other day, not sure if it was 1.0.1 or 1.0.2. What is suppose to happen when you follow an asteroid on a sub orbital path into atmosphere? Armageddon?
