RobotsAndSpaceships
At it's peak it was at 9000 on my RSS/RO install, needless to say, I got OOM errors every time I opened the game.
Idrryl
Mine is about 5700 with RSS/RO, but it crashed way too often. Now I've got about 170 because I removed most of my part mods (1.0 outdated most of them so I decided to drop them all together)

Eleven
Wow. I've had hundreds and hundreds before, but since 1.0.2 I've kept the game as simple as possible. I was right around 123, but then I tried a new mod that changes the heat overlay colors and my patch count exploded up to around 450. I thought that was bad, and some of you have them in the 10's of thousands!!??!?
xtoro
Curious why the OP cares about this. It's directly related to the mods you have...

mythbusters844
I'm at 3408 patches right now . IIRC my record was six thousand or so.About 3k. What does MM do anyway?Magic. But seriously, check the thread:ModuleManager is mod that let you write patch file that edit other part at load time. With is you can edit squad (and other mod) part without overwriting their file.
Captain Sierra
Far from my record (which is 4 digits) today after adding in a few new mods, I loaded 666 patches. Is my KSP install going to summon the Hell Kraken, Satan, or what? What wrath of the universe have I just incurred?
