craft keep falling apart (FAR+DRE)

Recommended Posts

I have nuFAR and DRE installed, and whenever my rocket gets past about 300 m/s the part attached to the fins disintegrates, I am still early in career, so my rocket is simply a stack of FL-T100 tanks, a reliant engine, a command pod and some goo canisters in a service bay with 4 basic fins. I had the FAR display open and it wasn't showing any alerts, is this a new stock behavior?

Edit: think I figured it out, it is probably the new transonic effects from FAR, since it occurs right around Mach 1, I can deal with it by going much slower lower, or changing the cross section of my craft.

IT is the increase in speed to the point where reentry heat is derping with your craft. That plus Lack of support had to have me stop using nuFar :(;.;

mach 1 shouldn't be creating that much heat, I figure it is the sudden change in cross section creating a locally higher drag that is ripping the craft apart. whatever it is, I can work with it now that I know how to avoid the issue (don't break Mach 1 till about 12 km min)
