Weird VAB Whack a Kerbal Behavior

Check this out, Was curious to see if parts in the VAB had any actual physical presence using whack a kerbal (they don't btw) and I noticed very strange. When you fire out towards the launchpad the balls all curve consistently to the right, why is that? My main thought is its because KSC is actually sideways, the effect is actually unity applying gravity to the balls. Just an Idea though, I would love to hear what you guys think.

In the VAB & SPH you can see a tweaked version of Kerbin. So if you fire a ball out there gravity will affect it like it normaly does. If you disable gravity the ball will fly straight. But because Kerbin is rotating and moving around the sun it looks like it flys a curve. Actually it's the VAH & SPH which rotates away from the ball.

If Im remembering it right, one of the devs told that making the KSC was hard because it was sideways. (Kerbins equator, not pole so its sideways in universe plane in game) so it might really be unity applying gravity to it. Great find!

but then why do they fall to the south and not to the east?
