seanmcdougall: Thanks for this very useful mod. I have two problems to report:

1 - When on the orbital map view, if you open the Part Commander window and put the cursor over it, anywhere, while the current vessel is moving, the map view start to spin erratically. The spinning stops as soon as you move the cursor away from the part commander window.

2- The "PartCommander.cfg" file is written into the Part Commander main folder. This is not recommended because it causes module manager to rebuild it's cache on every loading of the game instead of relying on its much faster caching feature. Hey @seanmcdougall,

I love your mods and they have made playing KSP much more fun and less of a chore. I am looking forward to your update for EVA Enhancements as orbital construction is not the same without the ability to control the jetpack thrust or toggle the rotate on camera move. I have run into a bit of a snag with Part Commander though with the extendable nuclear engines in @nli2work's excellent Orbital Utility Vehicle:

The nuclear engines are extendable and can have their thrust reversed.  Both of these functions are accomplished using the ModuleAnimateGeneric module in the part.cfg (there is one for each).  When I have the engines in symmetry and use Part Commander to either extend or reverse thrust it implements both ModuleAnimateGeneric on the symmetry children. For example, if I click on extend in Part Commander, the parent engine will extend but the child engine(s) will extend and reverse thrust. I am not sure if this is a limitation of KSP, something I can fix by modifying the cfg file, or if the Part Commander code needs to be changed to only trigger the specific module index. The relevant modules from the part cfg file are in the spoiler below.  It would be great if you could take a look at this when you get a chance.  Thanks.

I love this mod, but it doesn't work very well with RemoteTech. 

 

If you're controlling unmanned craft remotely, triggering actions on parts is delayed depending on distance from home. With part commander I can skip this delay (possibly trigger action without connection back to home - which is not possible if you try to trigger by right clicking a part and selecting from menu). Any chance of making this 2 mods work together?

@seanmcdougall Great mod, makes full IVA flights finally possible. Have a few features to request:

1. An ability to detach certain parts as a separate windows (1.1-stock-alike).

2. Or, at least, to add most commonly used parts to a custom "favorites" category(s). Because usually you need to interact with a few parts only during the whole mission: science parts, flaps, lights, parachutes and don't need the other bunch to crowd the list (in the current version, if I need to alter flaps position I have to check through all of the similar aero surfaces to find out which are flaps)

3. Would be awesome to have this ability in the VAB and save those settings per vessel.

4. Make fuel tanks visible in the "Fuel tanks" category to be able to disable crossfeed etc.

5. It would greatly increase the sense of realism if the mod was integrated with RPM to provide ultimate access to the vessel's functions through the MFD buttons instead of a separate GUI window.

The ability to separate into windows already exists.  Look in the top right corner and you'll see an icon that looks like a folder with a curved arrow - that'll get you a separate window.

Manually installed it into my RO/RP-0 game and it works just fine.  Oddly enough before installing it I had trouble right clicking science experiments and antennas to activate them...that was maddening.

I am having some issues and I'm not entirely sure if it's PartCommander's fault or not.

When I change SOIs, PartCommander suddenly drops maybe 2/3s of the parts on my ship. Weirdly, the scroll bar still lets me scroll really far down, and there's a bunch of empty space where the listed parts used to be. If I move my mouse *off* of the PartCommander window, then the objects come back, but when I move my mouse onto the window the two top buttons (settings and pop-out) vanish with all of the parts.

In the log, this message is getting spammed many times per second:

When I do an EVA, my Kerbal pops out as normal, but when I try to have him re-board the ship his model remains on the ladder, frozen, and his portrait disappears from the bottom right, even though my focus switches to the ship and I can throttle up the engines and fly it (with the Kerbal's model stuck there on the ladder). This makes me think that the problem is not with Part Commander but instead some underlying bug... but nonetheless, Part Commander is the only interface element that gives me any information whatsoever about the bug, whatever it is, so I figured I'd post in here and see if anyone else is having the same problem

Very nice indeed. Love this mod.

One question to a creator: it has been a while since 1.1.3 has been released and there is already a 1.2 knocking around.
Will there be any changes? Will there be a new release? I hope, 1.1.3 works fine, I have a doubt about 1.2.
Is there any WIP behind the scenes?

The creator hasn't logged into the forums since May 6 when he last updated his mods. I doubt there is any WIP.

Yes. @linuxgurugamer you are a machine. I know your are maintaining a lot of your own mods and pinch hitting for a bunch of others, but I have a small request. The creator of this mod had a EVA mod which gave you more control over the Kerbal. Some of the mod has become stock but some things haven't like setting jet pack thrust level, precision mod with cap locks key, key binds for pitch up and down, etc.  Very useful for orbital construction and on Minmus. If you could take a look when you get a chance I would appreciate it.

IMVHO it seems that Tweakable Everything isn't so needed anymore. In the last few updates, KSP added many tweakables that were part of the mod in a way or another. It will be useful of course to have it in 1.2, but not so needed as some releases ago. So, if you decide to update it (and I'll thank you again), no need to hurry at all.
