Solar Panels will not recharge anything

Recommended Posts

To fix:

Hello

you don't need to downgrade Kopernicus anymore, just download 0.2, install it and then replace the .dll with the newest Hotfix from here: https://github.com/BryceSchroeder/Kopernicus/tree/master/Distribution/GameData/Kopernicus/Plugins

Please stop reporting this issue.

Thanks

Thanks to steve_v for the workaround :)

My solar panels are not charging. Is there some change in 1.0.4? I don't ever remember having issues with it before.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Build a ship with the autopilot nose cone

2) slap a solar panel on there

3) Go into orbit, you'll never be able to charge no matter the angle.

Linux Mint 64bit

KSP 1.0.4 64bit

New gamesave as of today

Hmm, seeing this too, as of today. What did you (we) recently update?

If you post a modlist we can narrow it down to ones we have in common. I seem to remember Kornipicus or w/e updating... trying to find out the other ones right now.

Mods I know I updated:

Korpenicus

Waypoint manager

ModularRocketSystem

ModularFlightIntegrator

Downgrading Kopernicus works for me: ./ckan.exe upgrade 'Kopernicus=1:beta-01'.

Probably this:

[Kopernicus]: StarLightSwitcher: Set active star => Sun

(Filename: /home/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/artifacts/LinuxStandalonePlayerGenerated/UnityEngineDebug.cpp Line: 56)

NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
at Kopernicus.Configuration.LightShifterComponent.SetActive (GameScenes scene) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
at Kopernicus.Configuration.LightShifterComponent.SetStatus (Boolean status, GameScenes scene) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
at Kopernicus.StarComponent.SetAsActive () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
at Kopernicus.StarLightSwitcher.Update () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

I couldn't get the command line to run (I'm cursed!) so I manually downgraded Korpernicus. Everything is back to normal.

Thank you very much for sharing the fix with me! I will link this thread to the korpernicus thread so he can take a look if he wants.

Hi. The link you provided for the fix is not good. Could you provide another one? Also, my solar panels stopped working mid game. I have Kopernicus, interstellar extended and a bunch of other modds. After my ship with a generator ran out of power, no solar panels worked again on any ship or in a new game.

Hi @Iahim, and welcome to the forums!  :)

However, as you can see, this is a very old thread-- the last post here was nearly two years ago, and all the mods involved (plus KSP itself) have gone through multiple revisions since then.  Therefore, it's highly likely that just about anything in this thread is irrelevant now.

Locking this thread to prevent further confusion.  If you have a new problem, best to start a new thread.

Thank you for your understanding.
